Or are they stored separately?
(phone contacts, not google contacts or other cloud stored contacts)

if the contacts are stored on the phone, they will get deleted.
Export all your contacts to your sd card and then import them back when you are done with the reset.

He should be able to export his id card from his phone and import it to his Gmail account which will add the contacts to his account. But if the contacts are all gone he's screwed
Hi all,
My s3 sends texts via google voice when I'm in the contacts app and select 'send message'. I can't for the life of me figure out how to change that back to the default messaging so I can have the correct number show up. Anyone have any thoughts? (Clear Defaults is empty for contacts app)
Thanks!
Is it clear for Google voice as well? Try clearing data and cache for voice?

Did you clear defaults within Google voice app?

Open gallery, press menu, view by and select the one you want.
Did that. But every time I go back into gallery it defaults to showing them again.

If you log in on your computer you can see all your g+ albums and photos from posts. You can manually delete them there. That's the only solution I can find

Disable picasa and google photos under google sync. Then clear data for the gallery app.

Can't find the picasa and google photos under sync..
Settings -> Accounts -> Google -> *****@gmail.com -> Uncheck what you do not wish to sync.
That doesn't get rid of the ones in your gallery
Edit: un checking sync and clearing gallery data worked. Thank you.

Hi,
Is there any way to link Facebook accounts with previous contacts in my phone? I could do this with stock roms but with AOKP there doesn't seem to be an option. For example I have nicknames saved in my phone for contacts and I'd like to link their Facebook photo to their number.
If not with the default contacts app for AOKP, then is there another contact app you'd recommend that has this feature available? I've used Facebook contact sync but it doesn't link with names that don't exactly match. Thanks in advance!

There is an app called Facebook Contact Sync that will link the photos to your contacts.

You can also buy haxsync which will also sync your Facebook calender.

I've already tried this but it doesn't allow me to take one contact and merge it with another

So, I want to back up the contacts I had on my phone sim card before flashing rom -Aokp task 650-.
I really cant stand that it auto synched all my google contacts. In fact... I think the invention of synch should be completely eliminated it messes up everything.
So I only want to have phone contacts and nothing to do with any synch or email or anything. I think i been clear enough haha.
Also the jellybean limits my options about contacts and sim card and such.
So...what options do i have?
Thank you in advance.

1. Get GoContacts or GoContactsEx. You can export all your contacts into an XML file. After you load your ROM, simple import the list back.
I would strongly recommend this cos of ease. Plus, you could keep multiple copies of contacts export files.
2. In TiBu, backup contacts storage, and restore later and reboot.

Go into contacts...hit menu... select contacts to display. Then select which ones you want to display i.e. phone, Google, Facebook, etc. Or create customized list. Phone is what is saved to your phone not Google. When you flash it's basically nothing but you
So do i have to reflash the rom and wipe everything from recover?

SIM card has limits on number of fields you can store. So if all you store is numbers, this method should work great.
