Ok so say I'm running a DHD port like InsertCoin or RcMixS with the latest radio 5.17.05.23 would I use the DHD ril 2.2.0099 or the gingerbread one 2.2.0028? Also would this have any affect on battery life?

Use the one made for the Desire, not the DHD.
It won't affect battery life as I read.
Ask in desire hd forum, not in the d for the desire.

I've been searching and searching, but mixed messages everywhere.. Whats your opinion? :>
Thanks
I guess that you are in the wrong section of the forum, as we talk about Desire not Desire HD here.
Facepalm...
MIUI ROM works really well
Ask in desire hd forum.

Try the roms that people have suggested then you can decide for yourself

Is there a HTC sensation Rom that works on the desire HD?
If it dose is there lots of bugs and should I wait for a bit?
Plenty of sense 3 and 3.5 roms in the rom section.
You should check out Virtuous Unity which is a port of the Sensation. I'm running the latest which is 2.37 and its been nothin but fast and smooth with virtually no bugs. I highly recommend it.

This modaco one is meant to be pretty close to stock version of the new DHD official sense 3.0. I assume you want an official sense 3.0 ROM? It has some changes that are listed:

Will dhd get an official but slightly changed sence 3.0 Rom from HTC?

My understanding is that it wont, Paul form Modaco had quite a time squeezing the sense 3.0 onto the DHD, saying that they got the last sense rom onto the Desire so don't give up just yet.

I'm not sure what you mean by slightly changed?
Eventually it will be released by HTC as an official update (I assume, if they went to the effort of making it?).
The new ARHD, Leedroid and few others are based off the official DHD 3.06.405.1 which is Android 2.3.5 plus Sense 3.0 (designed for DHD) which is from HTC.
That modaco one I linked to before uses the same base as these other roms but is much closer to stock.
Slightly, stuff missing from 3.0 on sensation because HTC say it can't work. I know that was a leak but it shows intent for an official update.

hi
i cant seem to find a rom with the ibeats audio tweaks. i found the rom for the desire hd and was wondering if anyone would be able to implement that in to a rom for the desire gsm (bravo)
thx
it's a load of crap and it doesn't do anything. If you actually are interested in that then you are just a sucker for HTC's marketing campaign..
The cool3d runny Rom is what you want

I want to update my desire hd to sense 3.5. I want to know which ROM is best, and method to update it. I haven't rooted my desire hd. I m currently running 2.3.3 with sense 2.1.
I have one more question, does overclocking affect the battery life of the mobile? and does over clocking heat up the mobile?
Runny 4.0 has 3.5 and virtuious affinity and a few others all are good, capys 4.0 has more tweaks but its what you like, try sense 3.0 Roma first as they are also good!
As for root...try the ace hack kit
As for battery life its a debated subject, there's a thread with info in

Hello guyz, i just bought my new htc wildfire android version Froyo 2.2.1
It seems quite slow and just gets stucked at times....
I've deleted some unnecessary apps. but the problem persists.
I need a suggestion on what to do?

Overclocked and now it runs faster.

If u have speed issues, i suggest using kwbr ROM.
I tried all sort of roms for wildfire (including cyanogenmod), but this one gave best results concerning speed and stability.
Give it a try
