Dz hboot problem - G2 and Desire Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have been trying to flash the dz hboot on my phone without using adb because I don't have a computer at the moment. When I run the image it tells me no image or incorrect image. What am I doing wrong?

Error flashing zip

How do I flash boot animation zip I go to recovery and flash but then says install aborted I'm using clockwork on evo

99% of the bootanimations are not flashable. You will need to move it in a certain folder depending in what base rom you are on. Which rom are you currently running.

Cm7 do I move it using my computer?
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App
You will need to use adb for using your computer, or a root file explorer using your phone. You will need to put the zip file in your /system/media folder and make sure it is named exactly "bootanimation.zip" for it to work. If you can't get it let me know and I will try and walk you thru it.

S-off but not rooted?

Hi all. I'm trying to root my sisters evo.
Bootloader says s-off, but when I try to flash a recovery it says something like remote not allowed.
Any ideas?

You need Amon or clockworkmod recovery in the form of a PC36IMG.zip file that you can place on the SDcard and run through the bootloader. You will also need a superuser.zip file to flash from your recovery to gain root permissions. Both can probably be found with a google search.

I know that, I've rooted my OG and 3D. I know all about the superuser and stuff. This is just that the hboot wouldnt let me fastboot a recovery.

You cannot use fastboot with Hboot 2.10 if that's what you're looking for.

I've done it with 2.10...
Fastbooting a Recovery will only work with Hboots 0.76 (ENGINEERING), 6.16 (Revolutionary upgrade from 2.16), and 2.18 (after unlocking).

Ahh.. that's right. I did it with 2.18

How to revert back to stock?

Right now I am on jelly bean and trying to revert back to stock amazon software.
I have tried doing it the old way by flashing the amazon updates (both 6.3.1 and 6.3.2) but the flash always fails.
Anyway to go back to to unrooted stock Kindle fire?
Sent from my XT907 using xda premium
Thanks but I that's what I meant by flashing the stock roms. They just gave me an error message
Sent from my XT907 using xda premium
Nothing special. It just tells me that there was an error flashing update.zip.
Didn't see a specific error message.
Sent from my XT907 using xda premium
Error 7
Sent from my XT907 using xda premium
Okay I will try that.
If it doesn't work, do you recommend anything?
