I just installed Synergy but when I went to flash theme I got a amend script no longer supported in Clockwork 3.0 recovery . How do I fix or is there anotherway to install theme? I was able to flash carousel but not theme. Thanks!
Switch to Amon_RA recovery.

So to switch to Amon recovery I can just flash in recovery right. Do I need to do anything else? Thanks!

Just wipe the cache and dalvik before flashing. And if you didn't want to use amon_ra, you'd have to flash an older version of clockwork.

hey i had my phone rooted and then i flashed the new official froyo that was rooted and now using the clockworkmod everytime i try and flash a new rom i keep getting a status 7 error and i have been wiping my cache and everything so that isn't the problem. any help would be greatly appreciated as i want to go back cyanogen.
thanks
Clockwork recovery does not wipe dalvik cache properly, this is a known issue. Use amon ra instead. Never fails me.
how do i switch from clockworkmod to amon ra and where do i get it from. i am new to this thanks.
Anyone can plz link me the caulklin format all.zip for amon ra 2.2.1 plz thank you
Here you go..
Amon_RA 2.3 does/will have the wipe options for system and boot built-in, FYI.

Is it the same as caulkins because I keep that file on my sd card because I use clockwork recovery instead of amon. I know they both currently have wipe features built in but rumor has it clockworks recovery doesn't wipe correctly.
Swyped from my Evo on steroids.
will this work on an evo 3d?
I am currently running CM7 RC4 and for some reason when I try to use Clockwork recovery to do a backup, it just boots into RA recovery. Can't seem to get it to go to Clockwork recovery. Don't really care about that as I mostly just RA for flashing anyway, but I always used Clockwork for nandroid backups.
My question is which items do you typically check to do a nandroid backup with RA Recovery. When you go to backup, it defaults to back up Boot, System and Data. Do you have to back up the others as well? (cache, recovery, wimax, sd-ext and .android_secure)
I check everything except sd-ext. I don't use other forms of a2sd so it's not necessary for me because
cm7 has native a2sd. Everything else is backed up for sure. Try reflashing in rom manager to get back your clockwork recovery if you haven't. Update your rom manager in the market that might fix it.

It says rom manager is current. How do you flash clockwork when you are in RA?

At the top, click flash clockwork recovery. Or flash it via PC36IMG.
When I flash Clockwork recovery thru Rom Mananger and then reboot to recovery, it goes to RA Recovery

Take off the -1 in the name, then place on the sdcard, and boot into the bootloader, apply update, reboot, reboot into recovery and you'll be on clockwork.
I just downloaded this Rom and installed as i have installed all of the other roms but when i tried to connect over my WiFi all i got is error it does not turn on
also the 4g gives me a unable to connect will some body help
Did you partition your SD card? That needs to be done.

It could be an incompatible kernel issue. Did you do a full wipe prior to flashing?
no i did not how do i do it is there a tutorial hon how to do it
In your recovery you would clear the cache and dalvik, do a factory reset as well and if available a system wipe. Then flash your ROM. You're S-OFF/ON? What does the development thread for your ROM say?

If you look at the download instructions on the OP of the ROM you will see that you need to use AmonRa recovery. Are you using Rom Manager? If so I suggest that you navigate to the bottom of the Rom Manager where it asks to install an alternate recovery and it will install AmonRa. Your next step would be to reboot into recovery again then select wipe and wipe everything 3 or 4 times then reflash the ROM.
Why do we have to wipe 3 or 4 times? Shouldn't a "wipe" wipe everything the first time?

just to make sure people dont complain about bugs if they didnt wipe a few times
Hey Ortizsal you may want to give this new recovery a shot... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1339654 is AmonRA recovery that can also flash you're already saved CWM recoveries.

I'm in RA recovery, look in advanced and see if theres a partition option.I have'nt used clockwork in forever,i'm not sure of the changes in the updates.
Well every time I flashed the InfectedRom Eternity (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1071547&highlight=eternity) it won't ever load past the white HTC Evo 4G boot screen and I have no idea why, I have wiped everything correctly and still nothing. Any ideas as to why?
What hboot do you have? It comes baked in with anthrax that doesn't work on ENG hboot .76

hboot-6.16.1002, I'm using revolutionary, and I have tried it without the Anthrax kernal and still nothing

CWM is notorious for giving problems with flashing Roms because it doesn't properly wipe; I suggest you use Amon RA now just in case you might have recoveries already with CWM then try this Here it's an Amon RA recovery that can also flash CWM recoveries

Download this one HERE move it to the root of your secure digital card and rename to PC36IMG.zip and flash with bootloader, once you have done this successfully go to recovery and then to restore you'll have the option to flash CWM recoveries

Okay thanks, I will give this a try, but shouldn't I use a supersonic version?
I have installed it, and it looks so much better than CWM. So everytime I want to install a new ROM should I just choose wipe all data/factory reset or what should I do?
You always need to wipe all data/factory reset, cache and dalvik cache when flashing a new Rom... I personally got into the habit of wiping all of those at least twice just to really ensure I get the best performance for the new Rom
