I didnt know about the roocase executive, thanks for that. How do the dimensions of this compare to other tablets? Best buy didn't have any galaxy specific cases when I was in the store.

Are you referring to the actual Galaxy Tab 10.1? or the rooCase Executive?

Yes, I know.
No, does not fit. And it's a bit obvious, shape(the back) and thickness are different.
And someone on ebay was selling the case because it didn't fit his 10.1V.

I have this case, I'd be happy to post pics or answer questions. When I got it, it said is was for the 10.1v, but it fits the thinner tab perfectly and provides great protection.
I have the Samsung leather pouch on the way, I'll post a brief review when it gets here.

Looks the same. But the Amazon one isn't shipping soon anyway, says "ships within 1 to 2 months." Btw, there's a coupon code for the Samsung shop, first google hit on "Samsung coupon." It worked when I ordered on 7/2 (came out to under $30 including shipping).

Casecrown Tri-fold Bold review
The Case Crown Tri-fold was my first case, and it was quite nice, though I gave it away to my friend, who also brought a GT10 on my advice.
The nice thing about it (and I miss) is that because of the tri-fold, you could tilt it in two different degrees without having to turn the tab 180 degrees. Fold the screen cover once, and place the folded flap against the small fastening square on the back, and you have a shallow tilt for typing mode. Fold it once more and then (like the ipad smart cover) the cover folds into a triangle that supports the back and places the tablet in a steeper tilt fit for viewing mode. I'd post photos if I still had them, but already given away.
The not so nice thing is the leather is faux, and smelled, even if it went away in a day or two. The case itself was customized for the GT10, with slots in the right place for the speakers, power button, etc, but the cutting and stitching still seemed rough to my eyes. Finally, although it was nice of them to make the inside of the cover with a kind of micro cloth fabric to protect the screen, it also meant that because that inner skin touches the surface when you open up the case and position it (either typing or viewing mode), it picked up a lot of bits and pieces of dirt and dust, which defeated the purpose.
Overall, I though it was pretty decent for the price, and useful for typing and viewing, but not the best finish nor the most well thought out layout. I switched to the official Sammy bookcase cover, though I have bones about it too and may return.

That was a discussion on the $30 Samsung Leather pouch, not the $59 case.
Oops. Sorry about that. Too many accessories...
They need to hurry the heck up with that keyboard case. Especially now that we can get Ubuntu running on these things.

Added to the list. I have never heard of these. They look like they add little to no bulk based on the pictures I found in the International forum and it looks very nice. But I personally don't like how the top is exposed. But for those seeking a minimalistic case, this would probably be perfect.

Found some "cheaper" cases call Manicure. They look like Mercury/pleomax 9(also made in Korea) type but looking at the picture the fitment looks iffy at best.. But at $4 shipped..

tpu flip case, it's very soft and very thin, has a grainy/sandy finish on the outer side, the brand is temei, cost HKD 78 approximate USD 10.5, was going to buy one, but since i'm going to china in a few days time, i'm sure i'll be able to get one for about half the price.

There are many colours available, the photo above is dark blue, similar to the actual colour of the phone itself, it's just the phone flash that makes it light blue.

Ive went through 3 otter box defenders and they suck! The rubber casing stretches out ridiculously far and looks like ****! Dust, dirt and whatever end up on the inside of the screen protector so its hell looking through a scratched protector with crud all on the inside! You literally have to take it apart everyday and wipe it out! I wish they made a nice looking life proof case!

1) At first I didn't like the Commuter because it was slippery to grip. I've added grip, and a custom built in (flush) kickstand. Now I love it. I've dropped my phone more times than I can remember from various heights and ZERO damage has ensued.
2) I've never used the Defender, it's still BNIB. I took it out of the package and checked it out and personally I thought it was a great case. Great grip and great protection. I like my modded Commuter to much to swap it. The only thing I would do to the Defender is take out the built in screen protector.
3) Works great, had then on all my phones. Only took it off to try out the HD.
4) I've read all the horror stories, but so far I'm loving mine. It's only been about 4 days since I've installed it, but it's super smooth. Smudges do show up more though. My phone is in and out of my pocket all day long, sometimes with other things in it. So far the screen still looks great. I'd like to try the Zagg Extreme in the future to check it out.

Thanks for all the information. I was wondering if it would be possible to add some details to each item as people begin receiving their item and testing them. I am in the market for both a case and a wireless charger, if it is possible. It would be nice to know some confirmed instances of cases/wireless chargers working together. Also things like "this screen protector doesn't stay on well" etc. Had some bad experiences with that before. I understand it would be some extra work but it would be a really nice tool for people in the future.

I got a few direct from china with curved edges at approximate USD 1.9 each.

I got it direct from china, so no link available, your only option is from amazon, ebay or aliexpress, although you might not be able to get them for my price.

As much as I like to save, I do notice quality differences between those cheapy ones and the slightly more expensive so called brand name ones. Smudges and fingerprints for example, wipes off easily from my Skinomi on the note 5 whereas the cheap $1.99 ones from ebay not so much.

I've tried many glass protectors, the only ones I call quality are those made from Korea, but those cheap one from china will do for me, used them for many years, not a single problem, I'm very careful with my stuff, used them to protect from scratches:fingers-crossed:.

Official Book Cover for Tab S2

I ordered this one and it looks nice, but the tablet has to be perfectly even or it closes shut. It is also very awkward to open, do not recommend.

Well these came in today. Both were cheap and both fit and function perfectly.
ProCase A fantastic, sturdy, durable folio case for only usd $10. 10 freakin dollars. Seriously is the best $10 I've ever spent.

Anyone who is thinking of the Fosmon TPU and regular clear screen protectors from amazon I just got them. The screen protectors are fine. The case is a very tight fit. Too tight actually that the bottom lip gets pulled back from the surface of the screen.

Here are some pictures of the roocase, so many different ways to rest the tablet, vertical or horizontal. The tablet also has the skinomi glass screen protector.
See for me I mainly read laying down in bed on my back. It's the only time I use the tablet and it's just for may e a half hour a day. Like now just before bed.
Anyway, coming from the nexus 7 this tablet I'd very hard to hold like this. Very hard to type on though SwiftKey split keyboard helps. It's also really hard to hold above you in suspended form.
The official case while nice doesn't seem to offer much grip. It can make the tablet wider but that's not going to be easy to hold.
I tend to not like cheap cases because with my experience they smell terrible. I have a case for my nexus 7 from Omatom or whatever and it still stinks a year later.
I think a case with a hand strap is probably best for me. What do you guys think?
Hi, I got an origami type case/cover from eBay. It really is good as it folds to hold the tablet vertical or horizontal on a table.
