To add to the screen protector section, I ordered the IllumiShield screen protectors, they are under $10 with shipping from the official website. I have yet to receive mine, (est. of 8/08), but read through the reviews of the IllumiShield under the Nexus 7 (2013) Acessories forums. They come in packs of three, which is nice in case one get crumpled.

Yeah all these cases are basically bought from the same Chinese manufacturer at a fraction of the cost they're being sold at.

Added Blurex case.
Its sad to see the official Asus case for sale at Amazon USA for $19 bucks but the same site in Canada is $42 bucks, just Fragging sad.

Thanks for all the information. I was wondering if it would be possible to add some details to each item as people begin receiving their item and testing them. I am in the market for both a case and a wireless charger, if it is possible. It would be nice to know some confirmed instances of cases/wireless chargers working together. Also things like "this screen protector doesn't stay on well" etc. Had some bad experiences with that before. I understand it would be some extra work but it would be a really nice tool for people in the future.

Ive went through 3 otter box defenders and they suck! The rubber casing stretches out ridiculously far and looks like ****! Dust, dirt and whatever end up on the inside of the screen protector so its hell looking through a scratched protector with crud all on the inside! You literally have to take it apart everyday and wipe it out! I wish they made a nice looking life proof case!

1) At first I didn't like the Commuter because it was slippery to grip. I've added grip, and a custom built in (flush) kickstand. Now I love it. I've dropped my phone more times than I can remember from various heights and ZERO damage has ensued.
2) I've never used the Defender, it's still BNIB. I took it out of the package and checked it out and personally I thought it was a great case. Great grip and great protection. I like my modded Commuter to much to swap it. The only thing I would do to the Defender is take out the built in screen protector.
3) Works great, had then on all my phones. Only took it off to try out the HD.
4) I've read all the horror stories, but so far I'm loving mine. It's only been about 4 days since I've installed it, but it's super smooth. Smudges do show up more though. My phone is in and out of my pocket all day long, sometimes with other things in it. So far the screen still looks great. I'd like to try the Zagg Extreme in the future to check it out.

I think the matte one would be the safer choice, but I like the black leather myself. I don't know how it will hold up from daily wear and tear but for $5 I'm willing to take the risk. I think I just talked myself into getting the leather one

You talked me into the leather one and I talked myself into the Matte one. From the link you sent me people seemed to like them. $9.98 for 2 cases is not bad. Better than cheap silicone or TPU S ebay cases.

Only problem for me is that case doesn't have a built-in screen protector. I do like the kickstand though.

Well now $20/shipped CONUS is the normal price...looks like they upped the price of the case. And it's in stock, but I can't pay that much for this case, it looks like it's crappy. I always like the fit of i-Blason, but they never feel like quality materials to me. I can't spend more than $10 shipped for one of these...
I posted about this yesterday in the Otterbox thread as a possible alternative and someone said their roommate had an i-blason case that wasn't very good. Does anyone else have any experience with this brand? When I look at the renders, I can't even tell how the phone gets inside of this thing. It looks like there's hard plastic on both sides of the phone so maybe it's a 2 piece?

If the video for assembling the one for the iPhone5C case is any indication, this would be a yes.
I did purchase the lime green one. I also have the Neo Hybrid from Spigen on my 5 right now and like it. I do, however, like the idea of an integrated screen protector with the cases. I suck at applying screen protectors and every phone I've owned since the iPhone3 has had an Otterbox Defender case.
Has anybody received a shipping confirmation yet from Amazon? For the past 3 weeks, the listed shipping date was for today, 11/19 but my status still shows "Preparing for Shipment".

it should if you can get it to stay on there. i've heard phones have a problem with falling off
My N4 always fell off the orb but I though it stuck on due to the glass on the back. The N5 doesn't have glass so I hope it still works.

Here's a good question. I greatly prefer the hard plastic covers. Thin and protective. However, how will hard plastic covers (such as the oneplus ones) work with the active edge of the Pixel 2 xl?
I've just ordered a Caseology Parallax, but I wonder if that will work with the active edge?

I plan on getting the Parallax as well. From the looks of the case, it has rubber on the sides. So this will help.
I forgot which YouTube video I was watching but they said that the sides wouldn't be a problem with cases because of the way it detects the "squishy" sides. You can also set the pressure. So if you have a case on and it requires you to press harder, you can just make it more sensitive.

I'm not on twitter, but I sure hope diztronic reads this thread. For the Nexus 6P and the Pixel XL their cases were the best that I tried. I will be very disappointed if they don't make one for the new phone.

I like "thin-fit" case from Spigen, it's very minimalist. But Spigen is kind of boring without many color choices. I used it on my Nexus 6.

I've ordered 5 cases so far. One has arrived, 2 arrive Friday, one arrives a day before the phone ships, and the 5th arrives 1st week of November (Spigen pre-order). The 4 that arrived or are about to were just cheapos for me to play with, $5-$8/pop.
I might also blow ~$50 after tax on the Bellroy Leather Case in black, but it's sold out. I'll try for the next batch if I'm not in love with the Spigen or one of the dark horse candidates.
