Hi
Have tried every which way to save images while browsing but have failed
can someone guide me as in how can i save them?
thaks
IE mobile cant do it...you have to use another browser, Opera Mini is the preffered Windows Mobile browser anyways, just goto, operamini.com from your phone, and itll download for ya
opera mobile is just as good.
the only thing is you have to pay for opera mobile and opera mini is free.
i upgraded to the 6.1 ROM today. it kicks ass!! thanks everyone. i have one question. is there a setting so that when i'm using the internet i go to the "regular" website rather than the mobile version?
when using wm6.0, i could log into my yahoo account and it was the same as the site on my desktop pc. now, after installing wm6.1, i get directed to yahoo! mobile which doesn't have all the features of the pc version. specifically, i can't check my realtime fantasy baseball stats for the day.
do i need to change something in the connection setting for IE?
thanks.

I don't use IE that much, so I can't help you there. But I can recommend using Opera Mini (free), Opera Mobile (not free) or signing up for the Skyfire Beta (free). Also do a search for Deepfish on this forum, get the cab and try that, it may work.
If im not mistaken....Deepfish needs an activation code. That code is provided by Microsoft.
we have deepfish on this forum?
and the same thing happens in opera mini on some sites...ive managed to trick it inot skippin the mobile mail layout but other segments are in wap format.
i just downloaded opera mobile, and opera mini...opera mobile won't open on my dash...i click the icon and it flashes the opera mobile screen for like 1/10th of a second then goes back to my homescreen.
opera mini gives me the same issue...it opens yahoo! mobile.
i'm thinking something in my connection setup is letting yahoo! know that im accessing via a mobile. can i change something in my connection setting to trick yahoo! into thinking i'm accessing from a pc?
thanks again.

If I'm not mistaken, I've downloaded Deepfish from xda before and used it(shhhh!), but it wasn't on my blackjack, that was on my Wizard. I prefer opera mini.
no not your phone, its yahoo
Actually on Opera Mobile you can, if you go into menu->tools->General->scroll to "identify as" switch to desktop computer.
Then hed over to www.yahoo.com
You're usually sent to the mobile version of the site. I wish I can remember the actual link to the desktop page but I can't. I had it on my favorites before I flashed my phone. Sry dude. There is a page you can go to though.

i re-installed opera mobile and it seems to work this time.
thanks...
however, if anyone knows if i need to change my proxy settings or whatever (noob alert) so IE will go to "regular" yahoo!, please let me know. i don't want to have to pay for opera mobile after the 30day trial expires.
I would recommend using Opera Mini. This program kicks but and its really fast.

yes, but opera mini sends me to yahoo! mobile...not the "full" yahoo! site. that's the problem...yahoo! mobile doesn't have all the functions the full version has. opera mobile allows me access to the regular yahoo, but when my trial expires, i'm back to square one. i guess i'll just pony up the $20 or whatever to register with opera.

I believe its yahoo and your device itself. When a website, ie, yahoo, has a mobile version as well, it checks to see what kind of device you are using and directly sends you to the correct one. I believe by default and even on cooked roms that the PIE is set to identify itself as Pocket Internet Explorer to work in conjuction with mobile website version but you can just change that by you using either Schaps configuration or Tweak2k. Search for it on here.
That's a damn good question. I'd be interested in finding out how to "mask" as a desktop computer if possible as well.
I don't have a solution for the yahoo home page but you can bookmark the main fantasy page and it will have the full desktop version using Opera Mini.
http://sports.yahoo.com/fantasy or
fantasysports.yahoo.com both work for me.

hey i got my sky fire thing back but it wont install does anyone know why?
So i wanted to be able to watch flash videos in my browser so i installed a version of opera that i had for my TP. The install wetn bad and corrupted my original opera version so now i have a problem.
I uninstalled the opera that i put on and now my browser button on my internet tab does nothing. Ive since installed IE6, the new opera mobile, and the new opera mini but the shortcuts in my internet tab do nothing. I found the link to install the version of opera that came with my phone but there are like 30 different ones listed and im unsure which one to use.
Also, all of my browsers are showing pages in mobile view even though the option for mobile view isnt selected. I hate mobile view and skyfire is the only browser not doing this. But i dont want to use sky fire as my regular browser. Alittle help?
Bump......
You may want to just do a hard reset since all those browser installs/uninstalls have messed up things so bad. I know this isn't very helpful but a clean start just may be the way to go...
So, Ive installed Opera Mobile 10 and see no reason to be using 9.5 as it doesnt have the website compression feature and such. However, I would still love to use the Push-internet feature that 9.5 has which automatically caches given websites. So is this possible with Opera Mobile 10?
Thanks
Hi guys. I currently own a Sony Ericsson M1 running WM 6.5.3. After installing Google Gears which supposedly gives IE mobile the capability of geolocation, I still haven't got it to work. I tried gears in Opera 9.7 and it works. However, since opera 9.7 keep interfere with my hardware keypad (require soft reset after use), i opted to stick with IE mobile since non other browser support geolocation.
1 big issue i found is that IE mobile did not prompt user to allow gears geolocation. further inspection in the local storage for gears, in opera folder, there's a file named geolocation while not in ie mobile folder.
Is there a way to make gears work in IE mobile in WM6.5.3? Is the IE obile update in 6.5.3 caused incompatibility with gears? Or is there any other browser geolocation method to try?
Thanks a lot guys.
