Hi to All Devs/Everyone,
I found this camera app, this enable 720 recording but it is too laggy, may be you can help how to remove lag during recording. attach is the file. this is working with Android Gingerbread 2.3.4 but with lag. you may visit this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1094424 for more details.
Update: Install BitrateMod(720P only), this will enable 1080P video recording, but still laggy. 1fps only.
Well, definitely something i was looking for, but can you tell where you got this file and what are the minimum requirements (like android version etc). i cant push it to my phone right now as im making auto installer thing for toolkit and my phone doesnt have a rom on Good luck devs!

I have one camera that was ported to desre and is reported there to be capable of 720p recording in 2.3.3 builds....will test if it wirks also on HD2 and release then...

On android because we already can use 720p on windows phone 7
Could the lag be related to the speed of your micro sd? . . . just a thought

i tried editing the media_profiles.xml on the attached but no luck to get the lag off.

Alright.. it doesn't work with MIUI 1.6.3
People to make this working you need to develop kernel support. Things like this will never work 100%. And you wont be able to fix 720p by messing with some libs.

Well I agree unless the codes are properly included in kernel it won't be perfect..!!!
But this info is very useful, guess a step forward if chransingh can do somethin we'll have it workin pretty soon
Well even standard recording is terrible on CM7 based ROM with sound out of sync and camera not responding if you record two videos in a row.
Unfortunately, the disappearance of many devs and chefs and the less and less interesting roms (a lot of updates but no real fixes) lead me to think that development for the HD2 is dying...
this is alternative to cm7 camera.. all feature works.. (tested by me on gingercruzt rom)
install as normal app..

i never found this option in cm7 camera.
the app "lgcamera" is not so good, lags alot, the video recorder have a lag in audio.
you know another method? i tried to use the torch app with the original camera app, but didnt work :\

that's why I search another camera app.. I've search this forum for camera light but found nothing.. maybe you can make a new thread for this issue and ask for some solution..

I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed this problem; but on any CM Rom I am having problems with Snapchat in terms of recording time for recording time. For some reason it is not maximized (or doesn't go to the time allotted). The video stops extremely short, and only gives about one second of recording time. Does anyone that uses this know why?

I'm also having this problem, mine just records about 5 seconds and plays back like 3 seconds.
Has anyone found the fix for this?

Bump!! Running uXylon. Very short Snapchat video recording with both front and rear facing cameras. And i'm not sure if this is could be related but the video recording quality in Instagram is terrible -- very pixilated.
Sorry to bump this thread, but I've found the fix is to go into the settings and change the video quality from standard to low quality. Hope this helps everyone!
I have also found you can set the camera quality back to standard after performing the previous fix and the issue seems to disappear.

Tried to install cm11, app fc.
Ended up installing ARHD 40 for s3, no problems.

All you have to do is change the camera settings to low, and the camera orientation to 180 and it should work! I had this problem as well.

This does not work!!
Had a dream about this... Try going to Camera app and go to video setting, in the recording setting change the video to a lower one. Then go back to Snapchat and see if that works for you. Mine was at 1080p and when I changed it to 720p it started working amazing. Try setting it lower if that doesn't work for you. Mine was only recording for 1 second and would stop, after this I can record the full length allowed now. Let us know if this works for you

Tried this. Did not work.
Also, the in-call sound have kept disappearing, so I can't hear the person I'm talking to.
I'm changing rom to Jedi X today, excited to see if all of my problems will be solved.
Did anyone find a solution? I'm having the same issue and none of the solutions above worked for me.

I then tried to instal another mod because someone said that fixed their issue which was the same as mine (video causing force closure). http://www.droidviews.com/jishnus-camera-mod-for-lg-g3/
What now? I just want to be able to shoot nice photos and videos

The jishnus camera mod is what I used and it is working perfectly.
I also had camera fc first time I tried it, then I read carefully, copy all the files, change permissions, but the one thing I missed was "delete the LGCamera .odex" file.
So once I deleted that file, rebooted, and everything was/is working great!

Video no longer working after mod
Hi everyone! I am new to the forum and thank you in advance for the help. I copied the files to the system/etc folder, restarted my phone but my video camera is no longer working. I can take pictures but whenever I try to record video I get an error saying unfortunately camera has stopped. Any ideas?
Check the permission on camera_config.xml and media_profiles.xml again.. Must be rw.r.r ...or clear data in camera app

Set it to 60fps, make a video in sufficient light and check whether the video indeed has been captured @ 60fps?
Camera Mod
Well wasn't the 60 fps option available before the mod. I choose the option and recorded a video but still have no clue if it is 60 fps, and 4k still seems choppy.

120fps 720p Slomotion Fix
Hi everyone,
last week I got my LG G3 and first thing I did was downgrading, rooting and bumped 5.0 installing. Now I can enjoy the benefits of the mods from this forum and I love the camera tweaks. (Used the one from htcmania).
Everything works like charm, but the 720p/120fps mode looks rubbish. (I read that it is upscaled?)
Can I make any tweaks in the media_profiles or camera_config for it to record "real" 720p?

With the new update, ZV8 Lollipo, this xml causes a boot loop. I will upload the new xml file for you. I compared it to yours and there are new entries in the file. I would edit them myself but I don't know exactly which ones are the ones you changed. If you could be so kind as to edit the new file. Thank you.
