Hi,
is it possible to install HTC Locations on Cyanomod 7? I do have both laputa apk files but they fail to install and can't figure out how to get them working.
I purchased the full europe license and I would like to be able to use it on a ROM without sense.
Currently using Virtuous Unity
thanks in advance for your help
Wrong section buddy.

where do i need to post this?
Um, well its a question so Q&A, maybe?
I doubt what your asking will work though. Sense apps require the sense framework

anyone tried the desire hd rom ? any problems so far? how do i get it and do i have to be rooted?
Yes
Yes
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=628 (there are 2 HD rom threads there that I know of)
Yes
you said yes to the problems, can you expand on what doesnt work.
i know that the camera isnt up yet, which i why i wont go to using it. is there anything else?
i've had the odd reboot - not of the phone itself, of sense
The camera is the common issue, but instead of asking a question here, it would be more appropriate and simpler to browse the threads for the roms themselves, don't you think?

hi,
i flashed on my desire z the latest cm-rom. everything is just fine. but I still want to use the service on htcsense.com (track the mobile, write sms etc.)
is this just n apk in the background, or is it more difficult?

Hmm, I would have thought it would be a lot more complicated, needing the whole Sense framework.
Anyone know for sure ?
Actually, all I had to do was register the phone on there website by creating an account with them. Now I can download wallpaper's, ring tones and use all of the other HTC sense features. Works pretty well actually.

What rom are you running?

in the signature is written cm-rom.
but how could you register your phone there? when i connect try to let my phone ring, it says "unable to contact phone"
My question was for utorrent. Im running virtuous and all i had to do was register with htc to use all theyre stuff. I was curious if he was running a non sense rom.

i know you asked him, but i answered for him. take a look at his signature
I'm currently using the virtuos rom with the pershoot kernel.
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
I just updated today to virtuous 7.3 wich adds the swype keyboard and a whole lot of other tweaks and fixes.

Just to clarify some things utorrent is running a sense rom like myself so we already have all the sense stuff. The OP is running cm so he cant just register like we did. He will need at least some apks probly a lot more then that.

My mistake I misunderstood.

Its not a matter of just installing a certain apk. You need a sense rom which cm is definitely not. If you wanna try sense I recommend trying virtuous.

Hi all ,
can anyone confirm this issue?
Is it a gingerbread release?
Compass does not work in leaked gingerbread unless you have the latest kernel made by snq (v5).
At least that's what I was told.
If you are planning to replace your kernel, first do a Nandroid backup!

Hi,
I'm sorry, just noticed you have that kernel I was talking about.
You can try to reinstall kernel
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1039004&page=23
Yesterday I read something about removing a file and then having to recalibrate the compass in order for it to work.
Can't find it right now, you should try and do a search on this forum maybe...
Grtz!

Has anyone made a sense 3.0 camera app for an unrooted evo? I searched only saw for rooted phones. Is there one out there for unrooted phones or is it not possible?
TommyTomatoe made one that installs to /data like any apk. Its near the end of the thread about the sense 3.0 camera. I can upload to dropbox if you can't find it.
I recently used a sense 1.0 ROM for just a minute, and if I remember right, it wouldn't show up in app drawer no matter how I tried to install it. I think sense 1.0 may not have proper framework for it. So root isn't the issue, but sense version may be (which you can only change with root)

Thank you I could not find the non rooted version. No what version of sense does the evo have?

Non root sense is 1.0. Dunno if it'll work on that. Give it a try

Purchased my One X overseas (Lebanon) and it didn't come preinstalled with the HTC Watch app, figured it just isn't supported there. I'm in the US now and still am unable to install the app (found the apk from a search here in the forums). Any ideas? Thanks

Have you tried a custom rom? it may not be supported by your countries rom and I'm sure it relies on more of the HTC backend systems that may be missing too. My australian sense stock rom has it just for reference.
Yet to unlock the bootloader, I'm sure a custom run will fix the problem. Just waiting out the phone for any problems first. Thanks for your response
