Disableing ringtone Volume setting on volume Key? - Desire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi there,
I want to disable the ringtone volume function on the hardware keys of my Desire.
Is there any way, any app or any hack to make this possible?
The Keys just should vulume up phone Calls & Music, not my ringtones...
I´m using last stable Cyanogen, does it has the possibility to configure it?

Nobody an idea? Merde!

HTC Volume, Incall Volume

For a while i was avoiding using roms that used the HTC volume control, as i was fedup of not being able to change volume during a phonecall, the other day i was searching thru the registry and found out you can change the volume during a phonecall by changing the incall option to 1, at least i think, i've just spent the last 20 minutes trying to find the key!
i find the lack of find frustating on the registry viewer! i've done it on my and a friends phone now, but can't remember the location of the key.
after changing the key using the volume in call just brings up a screen saying volume instead of the usual ring/system volumes you can select.
Just wondering, how come this is never enabled by default in roms?
You must be using a ROM that has a Blackstone version of HTC Volume. I've only had issues with controlling the in-call volume when cooking with the newer versions of HTC Volume used on Blackstone and Rhodium/Topaz. Whenever I stick with the original Diamond/TouchPro versions I can control the in-call volume without any problems or registry changes.

Thank's.

Ah i gues that would explain it, i've only used 3/4 roms with the volume control and everyone hasn't had it, always gone for the naked/lite versions, purely to avoid it!

Hello!
i get in the specific key that you say, in the registry and the values that i see are:
Ringer: 0x99999999(2576980377)
SavedHandSetVolume: 0xFFFFFFFF(4294967295)
Volume :0xFFFFFFFF(4294967295)
i cannot find anyware in call volume or anything like that....
Can you please give me additional info about this change and how i can solve that issue???

[Req] Volume Button App/Hack to control all volume types?

I thought I saw an app somewhere that would let you change the behaviour of the Volume Buttons so that pressing volume down would lower ALL volume types (and not exclude alarms/music).
I don't want an app with an onscreen widget or anything as I like to adjust volumes without unlocking the phone, or even looking at it (easy to adjust volume while in pocket etc..)
The default behaviour of the Samsung S3 is that it reduces/raises all volumes EXCEPT alarms and music, which I can understand for some people, but if I put my phone in vibrate via volume... i do NOT expect to hear a peep from it.
Anyone seen a hack or an app that will do this?

[Q] How to stop ringtone sound from changing?

Cant use volume rocker Lockscreen

I have CM11 installed and I can't seem to use the volume rocker while i'm in the lockscreen. Is there a solution? Am I missing something in the settings app?

Do you mean media volume or ringer volume? Last time I checked, ringer volume cannot be changed straight from the lockscreen aside from the power menu's options (silent, vibrate, ring).
Are you trying to navigate between songs perhaps ? Like @tonytien said, we need to know what purpose you were trying to use this multipurpose button pair.
Nahh, I'm just trying to perhaps change the volume of my ringtone while using the volume rockers, I know I could do that when I was with stock rom and when I was on 10.2. Maybe it's a bug or am I missing something inside the settings.
I haven't used 10.2 enough to know since I've only used 11 with most of my time in the CM world. If ringer volume on lockscreen was ever a feature, it might have been removed. You could check the Buttons section in your settings, I think.

Volume hard buttons for anything else than media volume ?

Hi everyone,
Since the Pie update, the volume buttons only affects the media volume (YouTube videos, streaming music,...).
But can we map it to control the general volume or the ringtone volume ?
It's very annoying (for me) to get every time to thé volume settings to configure what I want
Before pie,, I used an app to force buttons to media only. I use a profiles app (audio profiles) for other volumes.
With pie, you need an app to get volume for other levels with the keys. eg. https://android.gadgethacks.com/how...ones-notifications-again-android-pie-0186539/
Or, use the various shortcuts. Like press volume then the settings icon. Or setup a quick tile or widget or something.
Thanks mate ! I'm using Button Mapper Pro right now, really nice app
