Hi Guys,
I have a problem with my GPS. Since a little while, my phone is not able to connect to any satelites anymore. I tried multiple roms and the problem still persists. Currently, I am on Android Revolution 16.0 and on HBOOT 1.31. I'm using an app called 'GPS test' to test my signal, which, unfortunately, says it cannot obtain a signal.
Do you guys know how I can test whether this issue is hardware related?
Same issue .. devs pls help
On a friend's HTC EVO 4G, wifi has recently started experiencing problems. Previously it has been working when connecting to my friend's home wifi. But recently, there have been connection problems where pages fail to load and a connection error of sorts appears on the device.
All other wireless devices in the household work fine so I suspect the problem may not be in the router. Also, he claimed that no others problems occured previously. This being the case, it may either be a new router problem which I doubt or a phone problem which is most likely.
What things should I recommend he try to resolve this issue? So far, I've only been able to recommend a reboot of the router.

Ask him if he has recently installed any new apps and if he did, uninstall them,go to recovery and wipe cache and delvik and reboot.See if that fixes the issue.
It's running stock Android. I have recommend that my friend root his phone though.

You'll want to troubleshoot the major factors involved here. This includes the router, the phone, and possibly the internet connection.
Does the phone have similar symptoms when connected to other networks?
Does any other phone have similar symptoms when connected to the home network?
Does anyone else on the home wireless network have similar experiences?
That's a start. Hope it helps.
I'm unable to connect through wifi on asus zenfone 2. I have tried the suggestions given in net but it didn't help me that much. It keeps on connecting and dropping then reconnecting. It's really frustrating me a lot. :crying: . But it worked fine for me before. Not sure it's because of latest firmware update or not. If anyone had this problem and rectified it means pls let me know the solutions. Thanks in advance.

Thank you for quick response
Hi Asus,
Yesterday night i just tried my luck to connect with wifi and it got connected . But after current went and came, i tried to connect again but this time it did not connect to me. I could not understood the reason for it. I restarted my phone & modem but still same. Pls tell me what could be the reasons for this wifi connecting issues.
See of your router/ modem has a firmware update. If it does take it. That usually sorts these type of problems.
Are you able to connect to other WiFi networks? If not there are several helpful tips regarding basic troubleshooting techniques in an app called ASUS Support: Please see Apps/ASUS Support/Assistance/3G-LTE-WIFI-GPS/Cant connect to WiFi.
If you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to contact me direct at the email below.

Having the same problem
Hello, I'm from Paraguay.
Got the phone a week ago, and at first Wi-Fi connected okay, no problems at all.
Since yesterday, it hasn't been able to connect to Wi-Fi, it just keeps on disconnecting, saving, connecting again, disconnecting, and it never actually manages to just stay connected.
I have tried re-initiating the phone, putting it in airplane mode then turning it off again, forgetting all wi-fi connections and then connecting again, turning Wi-Fi on and off, turning the router off and then on again, and until now I haven't been able to solve the problem.
Right now I'm trying to check for updates to see if anything important's missing, but my phone provider is also being problematic by not letting me download updates using my network connection (though that's another problem I think I'll have to solve with my provider).
I was trying to avoid running a factory reset if possible, so I don't know what else to try.
Authentication Problem
I'm having a similar issue. Just like Blasterkat101, it was working fine for the first couple of weeks, but recently (possibly since the most recent OTA update), I'm getting "Authentication Problems" on any wifi I connect to. After I try to connect a couple of times, it finally works. If I walk out of range and come back, I get the "Authentication Problems" error again.
I already followed all of the troubleshooting on the support page, but those suggestions seem like temporary fixes rather than correcting the problem permanently.
In case it matters, I'm using the ZE551ML variant.
I hate to bump, but this is still a daily occurrence for me on multiple saved access points. I admit, I haven't done a factory reset yet since it can be such a pain, but is anyone else having this issue?
Any suggestions before I wipe my phone? I would really appreciate it!
Please try turning off 'WiFi Scanning always available.' To do this go to Apps/Settings/WiFi Settings/Advance Settings(menu in upper right corner)/Scanning always available/turn Off. If problem still exists, please see the following link for troubleshooting methods: http://www.asus.com/us/support/FAQ/1006657/

Not sure is this is helpful, but you could also try changing the Band to only 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz, depending on your router. It might help with stability.
Thanks for the responses, but I'm still stuck.
I did turn off "WiFi Scanningalways available," and that did not help.
I tried changing the 2.4GHz channels (with 5GHz disabled) on my router, and that didn't help. I also tried leaving only 5GHz enabled. That also did not help. But I did not expect it to anyway because this is happening on any access point I use (work, home, friends).
I'll do some more troubleshooting, but I think a factory reset is in my future.

I hope you could fix the issue?
Mine stopped having problems on its own, but it still got authentication problems from time to time anyway. No idea what's wrong.
And yesterday the phone just stopped being able to charge and battery got to zero. Right now it's dead, but I guess that's a completely unrelated problem I'm trying to solve on my own.
I foresee that returning the phone is in my future -.-
Even I was having the same problem. Tried the Airplane on, Wifi on, Airplane off thing; didn't work. But what worked for me was changing the SSID and security key of the router. Now of course you can only do this if you are on you home router, but do give it a try.
I've just updated the firmware on my zf2 64g2g and now my Wi-Fi is causing major problems. I connect but within seconds it disconnects and then I have to forget network to regain access. I know its not my network as my old n5 is fine and all my other devices. This has only started since the last asus update. My phone is unusable. Wish I didn't buy it tbh. Too buggy.
[SOLVED} This fixed it for me

TRY THIS. IT FIXED THE PROBLEM FOR ME.
There is a reboot option in your router settings page. Do that and it should be connecting fine.
Have anyone fix this issue? I just bought a Zenfone2 ZE551ML and wifi is always connecting and disconneting over and over.
try with static IP Address (not DHCP)
I also have 32gb 4gb Asus ZE551ml and can not connect to wifi network.
Also sim 1 card signal is too low and other phones signal has the highest . Any solution please?

Hi everyone.
I've recently noticed something very strange, and from what I've read on the Web it has to do with htc using the same Antena for wifi and Bluetooth: when the Bluetooth is on (it's always on in my case since I have a smartwatch) the wifi speeds drop from 30mb/s to 1mb/s.
Has anyone else noticed this? Is there a proper fix?
Cheers
Anyone experiencing the same problem? I did a factory reset and it solved the issue... For a couple of weeks, now the problem is back
Anyone experiencing WiFi issues with their One Action?
I am getting only around 15mbps on WiFi while my other phones are getting 45mbps+ on the same WiFi.
After phone reboot, I get full speed for a couple of minutes and then back to around 15mbps. Dunno if this is a software issue or hardware issue.
Please anyone can confirm if they have the same issue. (My phone is on the latest Android 10 update with June security patch)
You are not alone. It’s a known software issue with certain wifi routers. Personally,I didn’t experience any issues with my particular router, but many people do with other routers (for example Fritzbox).
Thanks for reply.
So that means my phone is not the problem?
Are there any fixes for the problem (or what this problem is called so I can look for solutions)?
In my case WiFi 2.4GHz is slow. Connecting to same router but with 5GHz band and everything seems fine.

You can add your comment here and maybe report the issue to Motorola, as well.
Sent from my motorola one action using Tapatalk
I fixed by using a TP-Link extender. The speeds are normal now.
Edit: Many users are reporting this problem after the Android 10 update. If you are experiencing this problem too then please keep telling the support this problem via email.
The phone is compatible with some routers and gives bad speeds on other routers after the Android 10 update.
