Hi everyone.
I've recently noticed something very strange, and from what I've read on the Web it has to do with htc using the same Antena for wifi and Bluetooth: when the Bluetooth is on (it's always on in my case since I have a smartwatch) the wifi speeds drop from 30mb/s to 1mb/s.
Has anyone else noticed this? Is there a proper fix?
Cheers
Anyone experiencing the same problem? I did a factory reset and it solved the issue... For a couple of weeks, now the problem is back

Hi, I have a strange problem. If I stream Video to my HTC Desire over WiFi (iPlayer, myPlayer) it plays perfectly for exactly 5 minutes then cuts out, stone dead! If not connected to WiFi and using 3g it's fine and carrys on after 5 mins?!
I'm wondering if there is a setting anywhere on the phone that is causing this? Or could it be something to do with the wi fi router? I haven't had chance to try this on another wiFi connection.
I have just updated to 2.2 and hoped that that might fix it but its still the same as it was with 2.1.
Any ideas as it's really annoying!! thanks
anyone have any ideas??!!!
I got my Nexus yesterday and already noticed some problems with the wifi (before installing anything). When I turn on my wifi it works for some seconds, but when I start using it some more, my wifi stops working. I have to reset my wifi and it will work again for some seconds. Does anyone know how I can fix this?
I also have a HTC HD2 with android on it, and I haven't had any problems with the wifi on that device.
P.S. I already unchecked 'avoid poor connections'.
No problems for me, my GNex seems to connect faster than my Xoom or DX.
Hi guys, i got my new hox and for the last few days am having some kind of issues,

Hey guys,
I'm getting incredibly slow wifi after doing the kit Kat upgrade. I'm currently running the xKat latest from but have the same issue on other roms. I've tried everything from clearing cache to factory resets to fiddling around with wifi settings. My download speeds have dropped from like 40Mbps to 3Mbps. Anyone else experiencing the same issues?
Thanks!
My wifi transport is pretty bad too. :/. idk y. If i try to upload or download something via wifi to my device, i dont see anything higher than 5mbs.

Having Bluetooth enabled slows down WiFi considerably for me...maybe that's ur issue. Try disabling BT if its on

Never have it on actually so unfortunately that isn't the culprit.
So it actually became a lot worse. I was fiddling around with channel settings on my router and noticed that my speed was horrible on my laptop. I turned wifi off and on on the Galaxy Note and noticed that whenever the Galaxy Note is connected to the wifi network every device slows down to an awful 3.5Mbps. No one else experiencing anything like this?
Mine isn't nearly as bad as what you're describing, but I'm definitely seeing some bad wifi performance. Lots of stuttering and uneven speeds. Also, with my Internet speeds and router, I should be getting a lot higher than what I am.
EDIT: my problem actually seems to be a router problem with having too many devices connected. I disconnected a few and rebooted, and now my Note gets 110 Mbps.

Used 2 have exact same problem with my old router pre N bought a new badass router with all the bells abd whistles and now everyrhing works fine. Well that is without having smb streaming dropping here and there.
Anyone experiencing WiFi issues with their One Action?
I am getting only around 15mbps on WiFi while my other phones are getting 45mbps+ on the same WiFi.
After phone reboot, I get full speed for a couple of minutes and then back to around 15mbps. Dunno if this is a software issue or hardware issue.
Please anyone can confirm if they have the same issue. (My phone is on the latest Android 10 update with June security patch)
You are not alone. It’s a known software issue with certain wifi routers. Personally,I didn’t experience any issues with my particular router, but many people do with other routers (for example Fritzbox).
Thanks for reply.
So that means my phone is not the problem?
Are there any fixes for the problem (or what this problem is called so I can look for solutions)?
In my case WiFi 2.4GHz is slow. Connecting to same router but with 5GHz band and everything seems fine.

You can add your comment here and maybe report the issue to Motorola, as well.
Sent from my motorola one action using Tapatalk
I fixed by using a TP-Link extender. The speeds are normal now.
Edit: Many users are reporting this problem after the Android 10 update. If you are experiencing this problem too then please keep telling the support this problem via email.
The phone is compatible with some routers and gives bad speeds on other routers after the Android 10 update.
