Skype (Request) - Bada Software and Hacking General

Hello,
Is there any working Skype APP for wave? I tried various PAID Java versions but touch does not work and proved to be a bad one.
Please advise if there is a good one available.
Thanks

There's not such a program in Samsung Apps, hopefully YET.

Can we install only skype, I don't want to loose messages, call list and everything else after flashing a firmware.
Does it works with wifi, I'm asking this because you wrote it is only for UK users, what this means?
Thanks.

There isnt one
Samsung hasnt released the FW yet to enable VOIP. That will only come with Bada 2.0
So for now there is no VOIP Bada Skype. Its been documented on about 3000 other threads and forum posts.
Until Bada 2.0 dont expect to see it in the App store at all

I tried skybook and mobilizer. neither worked very well. the basics were there but they both have a long way to go. the skybook app always failed to close properly and mobilizer never seemed to open properly.
This is not really an app, but some have suggested using the facebook page for iphone. I believe it is something like iphone.facebook.com or so.
EDIT: Na, I take it back. This certainly won't help you. I just tested the iphone facebook and did not like it. It seems that it uses resolutions for the iphone and everything looks big and blurry on the HD. Besides, that was no really what you were looking for anyway.
Here you go: http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=16698519604
If you are going to use Facebook on a PDA, just use "m.facebook.com"... It is a web page obviously, but is formatted better for smaller screens...
Theres one being developed by this very site!

[REQ]Looking for developers, Spotify for mobile!

Hello. I'm sure the majority of this site know what Spotify is. And I've discovered some great stuff, that maybe could be ported to a WinMo device.
I'm really, really bad at coding, so I don't know if this is possible, but hey, why not, it's worth a try, right?
So, to the subject. Some Swedish hackers have hacked spotify and made a program to connect to their servers and stream music. It's all opensource, altough no GUI is available.
So my request is, port this program to a WinMo device, and make a nice graphical interface!
Here is the link to the program.

EDIT: Lock this thread, posted in wrong section.

If I wrote a program and wanted to know about the take up I'd probably have a subscription page, also there maybe a backend-database their end used by the app in which case you subsription would be used to log in to it
just my thoughts

[Q] Itel Mobile Dialer - VOIP app

I've downloaded itel mobile dialer (itel switch plus) from the other market (samsung test market) that was available for couple of days some time ago (that was the market where angrybirds was available for free). I was wondering if anyone has this app installed and if anyone has an idea how to set it up, so a voip calls can be made?
Thanks for reading this post.

<EDIT> And about this IP function from the Chinase firmware - I saw in the sammobile forum, that it was not a real VOIP but just an easy way to dial a number with a prefix (used for the pre-payed cards for cheap international calls through a local number I guess).

You cannot. It was available just for several days some time ago.
P.S. I'm not even sure if it was a test market, but there were alot of new apps for free. Some of them are available now on Samsung Apps.
I can install cracked itelswitch/ByteSaver and all linux-based software from Revesoft

Don't want to replace Lumia 640XL -- Any fix for WhatsApp after 2020?

Hello everyone! My mom is currently using a 640XL. She's very happy with it. The phone works well, looks good. But there's a problem. WhatsApp will no longer be supporter after 2020. I'm looking for a fix, some way that she can keep this app. Does that exist?
Worst case scenario, can Google store be downloaded into the phone so she can access it from there? I know there's a way to do this with Kindle tablets but unsure if it applies to windows phones.
I'm not a programmer or even programming literate but will try and follow instructions if there's anything to be done.
Thanks for any tips.

Don't get it. Sure that's how it works. You'd need a second device to scan and authenticate. Then you should be good to go in theory...
Hi there,
I tried it on a Lumia 950XL WoA, and it works. Not sure, that notifications will come with a new message.
I tried the same on a Lumia 710 (WP 7.8) and it sent me to the Store and recommanded WhatsApp. When I tried to install WhatsApp (knowing it can't be installed anymore), the store told me to update my phone.
So you allways will need an Android or iOS device to install your WhatsApp and keep it running, and you can hope that WhatsApp will update their Website in order to prevent you from getting to the App store.
Best wishes, Joachim

If someone is interested, whatsapp web works in windows 10 mobile using Monument Browser, which is a very good browser you can find in the store.
You'll need a master phone with android or ios app to setup the link.
It seems to me that notifications won't work, but maybe changing some setting in the browser can also fix notifications.

Sorry I'm not sure I understood well.
Do you intend that there is a patched version of whatsapp that can still be used on windows 10 mobile as an app ?
If yes where can I download it and how can i install it ?
Thanks
That sounds great... Could you please tell us how to patch, or provide a download link?
Monumentum works, but, as already stated by Sigfrid, without notifications?

Please advise how to patch older versions or how to obtain v2.18.396.0.
My "latest" version is 2.18.370. Is there a registry entry in W10m which could be changed?
Thank you / merci bien
@JoachimP , @devilrex, @sigfrid696
After a hard reset of 950 XL Whatsapp no longer works.
After a hard reset, for me a new installation, I would not get WhatsApp any more. If WhatsApp would run once more, I would suggest to make a WpInternals Backup...
Just to read old messages: Turn on flight mode and reset date to January 13. Do not try to answer an old message...
So for me, patching WhatsApp would help.
Regards, Joachim
I've been using that method for a few weeks now, but needed a few tweaks to get it working at it's best (which isn't perfect!). I've put a guide HERE https://forum.xda-developers.com/windows-10-mobile/whatsappweb-w10m-t4036235

Thank you, it works for me as for you. 65% zoom was a good suggestion. Pinning to my home screen did not work, but I use Monumentum only for WhatsApp, so there is no problem.
