hey guys i am having a hard time finding the rom i really want it either leaves one of the features out or is too laggy. currently i am on a team-nocturnal g.b. rom. the features i want in a rom is non sense i hate sense it always resets on me. i also want a volume rocker wake option, i have tiny fingers i also want 4g i pay for it so why the hell not. and some theming options i have not yet found one the best one so far i have found is cwm however there is absolutely no theming if there is, it is not to my flavor any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Might I suggest AOSP? Perhaps Deck's? You can find different flashable themes in Evo Themes and Apps for it or download some from the Market. No Sense, has 4G, and you can find the volume rocker setting in Advanced Settings.

Don't mean to be smart-ass, but you sound too picky. Cant possibly eat the cake and have it too.
You will need to find a rom with most of your wanted features, possibly an AOSP one like cyanogenmod 7 as you dislike sense.
The theming part is comparatively easier, so find one that has all the features and apps you need. Then get one of the many themes out there for the T-mobile theme engine on the market/xda or help yourself to the UOT kitchen.
At times the ones that suit your flavour might need you to buy the dev some beer, and its worth it.
I have an issue with a rom I'm using on my GSM Galixy Nexus, and was wondering if anyone could suggest a possible way to tweak it or if I need another rom, which one you'd recomend. I'm currently using a pretty much stock looking rom, Bugless Beast Nightly 2/12/2012 IML74K based on Android 4.0.3 The battery life is good but most importantly, the text resiszes to fit the page on the browser and you can pinch to zoom in on things. But unfortuantely, everything on the screen looks a lot blander and not very HD-like as the stock rom appeared. the colors on the stock rom that I started with were very crisp and sharp, really eye popping if I do say so myself. I don't think brightness is the issue either cause it's at it's brightest during the once beautiful bootup animation. Would changing the rom's kernel to something else fix this or do I just need to try a different rom? And if so, which one would provide me the same web surfing capabilities as this one? Using the GSM Galixy Nexus. I'd greatly appreciate whatver you're willing to tell here about this, cause as much as I want a custom rom to be good on battery life and functional, I'd also love not to ahve to sacrifice the greatness of ths AMOLED screen.
You can try this.
I would really like to create a stock, out the box theme for juggernaut 5.0? I always liked the stock look for the s2 and i miss it now.
Would somebody be able to give me a quick rundown of how to make the theme? I have a stock rom to work with for all the files necessary to do it. I am willing to learn
It would be even better if one of the talented themers actually made a theme for the masses though
Hey guys, sorry to noob it up.
I'm currently on an OG Epic running toadlife's final build of CleanGB. I'm due for an upgrade, and I'm considering the S3. It's been a while since I've tinkered with my phone because it runs so well, and I enjoy Toad's approach as it aligns well with how I think my phone should look and function. My ideal feature set is:
- Touchwiz JB based, because it's already optimized for the hardware. In my limited experience, ROMs based on the manufacturer source seem to have longer battery life, better stability, and a full feature set that already works. Things like:
- Stock camera (yes, with the silent mod)
- Sprint VVM
- Hotspot
- Customizable toggles.
-Minimal or no theming. Theming seems to be the quickest way to make the phone feel tacky and fragmented. I love the look of stock AOSP ICS and JB, the same way I enjoy a minimalist Gingerbread. Things like the AOSP dialer, SMS, lockscreen, keyboard, and icons seem to pull it together and make it look excellent.
- Blacked out or inverted apps like AOSP SMS, Gmail, Youtube, etc... looks cool, doesn't require any crazy theming, and saves some juice on that screen.
I was bummed to find out that the Foxhound ROM is only built for the international version, as I think it fits the bill of what I'd be looking for. Can anyone recommend a ROM based on these criteria? And yes, I know I don't have much to contribute as an end-user. I still think this community's a great place to hang out and get the most use out of these phones. Thanks guys.
I like blazer Rom

Can't go wrong with either freeza's fre3 or clark44's FreeGS3 ROM.
From what I have seen what you want does not exist. The closest is either run CM10.1 (pretty stable feels like a daily rom until you find a bug) or run one of the stock based roms with ICS theme but it doesnt feel very complete IMO.
I have been looking for the same thing you are. I even found the foxhound rom today but like you said its not on US versions.

Your coming from the OG epic... So why not try The Peoples Rom.. Several launcher choices (Aroma installer) overall can have it how you want it. There is also a full out Edition.. (The Fat Ass Cartmen edition By Naddict) Either i recommend.. Specially if your familiar with Kennyglass123's OG epic work. Same great taste, Less Filling! Best thing you can do, is cruise through the threads see if something gets your attention. And custimization on those roms above.. Visit Morphology Thread by Romnpit.

Helllooo all!
I've been in the community long enough and I wanted to eventually push a ROM out on XDA, but before I do that, i wanted to learn from some of the experts as to how i can do certain things on AOSP ROMs for customization. Like ie. Adding additional tabs/menus to the Settings, Clock/battery mod, etc.
I'm no noob to Android and dev, but im a noob to customizing stock as its a bit different than roms with overlays such as TouchWiz or Sense, etc.
If someone could shine some light on me, that'd be great! thanks!
