Hey everyone, new poster but I have been lurking around for a while. I've been running the Alliance 7.3 rom for a few hours but it seems my HTC calendar widget is just disappearing. I've noticed this twice as I tried flashing a battery mod from UOT kitchen then tried to flash a lock ring mod (separate occasions). When the phone booted up, the widget and app is completely gone. Would this be something anyone has experienced or what could possibly be going on? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the time and thanks for hearing out a N00b...

have you posted this in KINGS THREAD?.....or have u PMed him?.....KINGs cool bro, if u got an issue he'll help you out with it.....it could have been from flashing one of the MODs.....but maybe not.....i would get in touch with KING.....he may have a solution to yur problem....and make sure you tell him about the MODs u installed.....

first off a battery mod from uot kitchen didnt take the calender away, lockscreen mods on his OP arent flashable, and i have a question for you, are you partitioned? partitioned your sd card, if so, im finding everyone on that thread that has has lost their claender widget, including me, but i do still have the app and can still get on the calender no problem, just dont have the widget available i have went into root explorer and it is in the system apps folder but cant install, so im thinking (again "thinking") its the partition that is disabling the calender widget.
Yea same here, the calendar application is there but the widget it gone. I'll have to try the SD card. I'll let you know how that works. Thanks a lot for your tome and help.

actually i asked if you was cause it seems to be happening to those that are... but hang on a sec, and i will get ya a link on how to partition, alos just to add to my point before i partitioned, i had calender no problem, after i partitioned the widget is gone but still have app.

Has anybody tried 1.7 yet? Wondering if Facebook sync works - seems like this doesn't work on any roms I have tried yet...
Don't believe you can sync Facebook in Jager 1.7
I can confirm it does not support syncing Facebook contacts. It also doesn't support live wallpapers. I just learned that a few minutes ago. Not a big deal to me, but I know for some that is a deal breaker.
ya, there's no HTC facebook option, and i can't select the regular facbook. i would just use his sense rom for facebook, plus it has hydras undervold kernel and wireless N included.
anyone been able to get titanium backup to work with this rom, for some reason app wont open then fc's after a bit
I've had no issues running titanium backup on jager 1.7. You might wast to try reinstalling it.

can you explain how you did this and what facebookupdate on which thread.. thx tried searching the thread didnt find anything on it...
Tried flashing this ROM, got a endless loop of FC. Ended up flashing cyanogenmod test, worked fine.
I wonder if anyone else has seen this problem?

I really apologize, but it was not yeti's rom. It was a rom posted by pmf

The facebook-update worked great on JagerRom, and I am now able to sync and dont get the hanging notification of syncing.

Thx for posting the link also I got it to work last.night.by just pushing the Facebook and friendstream apk and odex on mounted system part but it sure wasn't simple it just wouldn't take, it finally worked after I stopped renaming the files and pushed from the tools folder and not my c: directory even though when doing it from c it would transfer it just wouldn't work

I have noticed that Google Voice cannot seem to become/ circumvent the Default Dialer. I cannot convince Google Voice to dial-out via my Google Voice account instead of the native dialer.
I'm using linux and trying to edit these images with GIMP is extremely hard to make them look smooth. I never used GIMP I'm use to Photoshop and my laptop won't boot up with Windows 7 I think my partition is corrupted. So I'm stuck with linux until I can figure out how to fix my laptop. Would someone mind editing these 4 images with the color code 8d8d8d? To match my other Gingerbread icons the time it would take to fix my laptop I would already have left for work I just need those images to release the final to my rom.
Solved-Can someone help me find these four images in the status bar that has the charcoal blackground. I just need the name of the images or if you know exactly where they are that would be even better. I've been looking all day and can't find them. I've extracted 8 roms and some themes and still can't find them.

Text message notification is in system\app\Mms.apk\res\drawable-hdpi\stat_notify_sms.png
4G icon is in com.htc.resources.apk\res\drawable-hdpi but I dont see the one with the !. There is another one in res\drawable\
3G icon. The only place I found it was in com.htc.resources.apk\res\drawable\
The USB icon is in framework-res.apk\res\drawable-hdpi\stat_sys_data_usb.png
Though I think I've changed this one before and it didnt take so there might be another one located somewhere else.
There also might be more of the other icons in additional spots but these are all I could come up with. Hope this helps.

Thanks A lot man I was would have been looking forever for the text message notification.
The 4G notification I found but I don't think that's the one that shows up but I'll try modifying it anyway to see if it works.
3G Thanks I wasn't sure if that was the hotspot image or not.
The usb samething happened to me also.
I'm trying to do the last fixes before I take my rom out of beta and those 4 images was giving me the hardest time ever. I appreciate it

Im using SPRINT LOVERS ROM (latest build) and I notice that when MEDIAPLAYBACKSERVICE is running, the sense audio player will start to play on its own. For instance, I will go into visual voicemail and play a mail.. I will hear hear the mail BUT then the sense audio player starts up. If I go into services and stop MEDIAPLAYBACKSERVICE, everything seems OK until that service starts again.
What is causing this and how do I resolve? Thanks ...

If it helps, you should also post this in the original thread.
Try going to manage applications and locate your music app. Clear cache/data and try again.
If that doesn't help. Use a file explorer and copy/paste music.apk from rom and into root of SD card.
Go and uninstall current music apk and then install copied one from root of sdcard.
Can do this with free file managers like earring esfile manager or astro...
Can also wipe dalvuck and try again..or wipe and flash rom again...
Or u can share this uber music.apk like viper asked you...omfgbbqsauces

WHats happening is it is playing the SENSE music APP/WIDGET. Its not listed under ALL PROGRAMS. I think it is just a widget that I dont have on any of the sense screens. I do use it from time to time when a program automatically starts it up.. HOW do I make this NOT automatically start up??

Why wouldn't you just post this question in the thread for that specific ROM, where everyone in the thread also has the same ROM or is planning to flash the ROM, instead of creating an entirely new thread for an isolated issue in a subforum strictly for sharing things people actually developed on their own?

Dude. You posted only after our suggestions to do it and it's been less than an hour since you posted.
Take a chill pill and try our recommendations first. I'd unsuccessful then wait for a reply in the original thread, make a logcat and post for the Dev in their respective forum.
You can download a logcat app in the market if u don't want to use ABD commands.
Hope this helps and be more conscious of where u post this please.

And regarding the issue, post in that thread for help, possibly from the dev themselves. I use ATK to stop services I don't want starting up on their own again, you could try that for the time being.

Try this app, go through the tutorial then you should be good.
App Log graph can tune your auto brightness settings as well.
Youtube problem
Hi guys!
yesterday I installed the Apex rom which is awesome!!!
But still I have a problem regarding youtube.
I installed the zip file that includes all the google apps and now I'm not able to update the youtube application and the message that comes out everytime is as follow: The file of the package is not correctly signed.Uninstall the previous copy of the application and try again.
I tried to delete the application but I've not been succesfull in that because it comes out a message which says that I cannot uninstall it.
Sorry if I've been confused.

Hi guys, first of all sorry if I type something wrong because I'm not a native english speaker and second thanks so much for the attention you give to many people.
Aneyways, today I decided to change my ROM and I installed the latest ROM in the forom: TweakWiz. It´s an amazing ROM because its so different from the CM and related themes that are a little bit dark. Ok everything was going fine until I opened facebook and it crashed, the same happened with its messenger and I tried with twitter and no problem.
I re installed facebook but it doesnt works, can anybody help me?

Its a ROM bug. Only thing you can do for now is switch ROM's

Thanks so much amigo, I thought it as well but I searched in the official forum from the ROM but it didn't say such thing, anyways I'm gonna search an alternative to check Facebook because this rom its so great and it's battery life its way better.

Ohh, I understand what's happening to you. The app opens but right away it closes.
