Hi there, i tried to theme my xperia arc and the screen just went black after i replaced the file (think its called system-framework.apk or something like that) I thought i could change permissions after but i couldnt.
Now i'm stuck in a reboot loop and cant use ADB to change permission etc. since i didnt have USB debugging enabled. So i wonder if there is any way to get ADB to work or to enable USB debugging outside android so i can fix this issue?
Thanks!
I really hope reflashing won't be an option since i put alot of time to get rooted on 2.3.3 with locked bootloader.
Reflash is the only way, we've all done it, and it's all part of the learning curve.
Yeah i guess so :/ Thanks anyways mate
Hi, can anyone help me? I think iv gone too far down the wrong road. I was trying to flash to the .266 and got stuck in boot loop. The flashtool says preparing files for flashing, it has been saying that for too long. I did not backup system apps just pulled them. I dont know what to do next

Ive tried searching and googling, but couldnt really find an answer to my problem..I have flashed many roms on my HD2, but only 1 on my gnex. I dont know much about using terminal and the adb system..so im quite lost.
sitation:
-when i put my battery in, i can go into fastboot
-if i let it boot, the google logo with the lock at the bottom boots... then it goes to the loading screen... after about 5-10 seconds, it will reboot and repeat.
i have the sdk tools thing installed on my mac. Im pretty sure its installed correctly but im not exactly sure how to use it.I have an old version of gummy (0.9.0?) and have been running it fine for about 2 months. I used the toolkit program to root and unlock it. installed cwm and installed the rom. didnt have any problems until today, i had just sent an email, and then about a minute or two later, the phone restarted and started booting itself over and over.
I booted into recovery and wiped everything and still boot loops. So i wiped everything again and installed the same rom because I don't know transfer through bootloader. still no luck, after leaving bootloader or recovery it will continue to boot loop.
right now i cant reflash to stock because i can't get my phone to connect to my mac.
my questions:
-will i need to reflash my baseband//kernel/recovery?
-either an update of the rom or a new rom would fix this, yes? how do i transfer a new rom to my phone through fastboot?
-Since i dont have access to my pc, can i do this from my mac? How?
sorry to be so newbie, but i really am with the gnex If anyone can please give me a general step by step... i can search how to specifically do each step.. but i just need help figuring out what to do at this point. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!!
Hi guys.
My problem is that I tried to install cm11 on my xperia so I rooted it, then I unlocked the bootloader and then I installed CWM.
So I started with the wiping, and though im quite used to the procedure I made the mistake of wiping data, cache and... system :/, Ive done it before but this time the cm11 zip failed to install and though I tried, it kept telling me there was an error with some changes and it aborted.
Was kind of busy so turned it off, big mistake, as I expected, when I tried to turn it on it started the bootloop.
So here I am with its battery fully discharged and no OS on the device.
But my fear is that now it only goes into fastboot, but when I try to set it on flashmode the led quickly flashes green, then red and then none, and it doesnt go into flashmode. So im out of ideas as to how can I recover it.
Do you think it is bricked? Is there a way to get it working again?
I thought about getting it to sony, but I dont know how they'd react to my flashing mistakes xD Wanted to ask you guys first.
Thanks in advance to anyone. And pleasee tell me theres a way around this xDD

u don't have recovery!?
before try to flash rom
try to install recovery first and then through recovery try to flash.
if u side-loaded rom in internal memory and aborted error appear try to install it from usb-otg.

The things I wiped data and system partitions, the zip is still in the internal memory but I have no access to it.
Im trying to say I cant even try to turn it on or enter recovery without it going into bootloop.
Can you tell me more about that otg-usb? What do you mean?
It wont even get into flashmode.

fastboot is enough to install recovery.
follow this;
Installing recovery using fastboot
-
after installing recovery cwm or twrp (that u can find them in dev section)
it s time to install rom (flashing rom)
then u should boot into recovery. almost of recoveries have built-in file-manager it means u will access to ur file in internal memory.
if u cannot install rom from internal memory then connect usb by otg cable.
it means transfer flashable rom.zip to USB-flash memory and then connect it to ur phone and install ROM from it.
hope to have success

Hello there, all xda members.
I got Ace 2 to fix from my friend. He doesnt know exactly why did the phone becoming stuck on bootlogo. Maybe messing up with flashing GB or JB. or maybe wrong terminal command.
Ace 2 Condition :
- Its unable to pass boot logo samsung galaxy ace 2
- Its unable to enter recovery mode
- Its able to enter download mode, and its custom binary download : No, Current binary : Samsung official
Here all the thing that i have tried to fix the phone :
1. Flashing the phone with Russian Gingerbread with 3 files, Pit, CSC, and PDA. But it still stuck on bootlogo and unable to enter stock recovery. it shows succeed though on Odin, but it can't boot.
2. Flashing the phone with Latest Jelly bean, with Jelly bean pit file. Odin displaying succeed, but it doesnt boot either.
Can someone help me how to solve this problem?
Is there a condition where phone completely unable to recover from hardbrick such as stuck on bootlogo, but still able to enter download mode?
I'm going to download jelly bean mb2 or mb4 which include pit and csc from jelly bean and try to reflash it. Hope it gonna work.
Thanks for any help.
Anyone here to help me?
@ChronoMonochrome , maybe you've experienced something like this and able to resolve the problem.
The phone can't boot at all. and im a little frustrated here. I've already tried a 3 parted firmware MB4, and it doesnt work either. Tried to flash chrono 4.3 cwm through odin and it doesnt work either.
And if it really doesnt have a solution, maybe i'll just give it up. And doesnt continue researching to fix this phone. Thanks
maybe another devs that able to fix this. @ace2nutzer @fluffi444 or anyone??
It got the same case. Successfull flashing, but still doesnt boot, it just like flashing is fail. or it just like it reverted the way it was before flashing. Your help is very appreciated.

Very strange. And more strange is that several people have this "only boot to logo / only downloadmode issue"
Up to now I have no Idea - I asume that ADB is not working, because of missing recovery mode? With ADB there are plenty of possibilities.
An complete Factory reset could be helpfull - But how to do it out of downloadmode ?! Don't know.
Up to now I didn't had a Phone with this behaviour for repair at home. If it would be reproducible how this all happens, I would bring my phone to this state to find out how to repair it (riff box here - so dead ACE 2 is not a problem) - But even this is unclear - Every report regarding this said only "suddenly" "without any reason" "flashed this or that" - But no exact infomation what happend acctually.
I'm out of Ideas. Sorry!
Thanks for answering.
I dont know if i have to give up already or not. But i'll try to flash it with another pc and data cable. Maybe it gonna work.

No, I haven't had the phone in such condition as described above. But I have heard that any odin-flashable file that's wrongly flashed via "Phone" entry can lead brick which is similar to this. I remember only one case - one user from 4pda has flashed some file via odin, wrongly putting file to the "phone", and wasn't able to restore it anyhow - but he also had some brick on GPIO side - vol.up worked like vol.down, and the real vol.down didn't work at all. I don't know however, what memory partitions / any devices capable of storing data would be messed after this operation, and whether it's reparable at all. I mentioned devices, that can also store data, I know only that touchscreen has small memory for its firmware(that what I had broke one day in the past after accidental firmware change in the kernel) - but maybe some other devices also has it?!
There are also some chances that it's dead flash memory - chances are pretty small, but should also be taken into account.
I have a rooted zenfone 2. I checked for an update. Not knowing the risks of updating system while rooted, I installed the update, and now my phone is stuck on the boot animation screen. It is stuck on "Asus In search of incredible" screen with the turning gear. I can access fast boot mode and recovery mode, but can't start the phone. My phone has Android system recovery installed, not ClockworkMod or TWRP. I tried to install a different recovery, but my PC doesn't read the phone. I thought that wiping the data and cache will help, but didn't. Help me. I'm a 15 year old noob. My parents will kill me!! Also, I haven't tried to install any ROM's on it. So that's out of the picture.
And neither adb, not fastboot can detect the phone.
My phone is rooted, but the bootloader is not unlocked. I was going to unlock it, but thought of backing data up first. I was trying to find the backup app, but accidentally tapped on system update app. I thought there wouldn't be any harm in checking for an update... Apparently their was a lot of harm.
I also tried installing twrp recovery, but it gets stuck on "Waiting for device"
I'm in dire need of help.
I just need to find a way to switch USB debugging on...... That'll fix all my problems
thanks in advance.
I have the Z008 model, NOT the Z00A.

Hey there!, have you fixed it yet? I'm having the same problem i'm trying this method wwwdottechmestodotcom/recover-bricked-asus-zenfone-2/
Maybe u need to look at this post

hope it will help u.
Hello everyone here, im a noob around these parts but hope that this beautiful community might help me.
So heres the deal, my gf got an xperia m, that outta the blue started acting out, what i mean for this is, rebooting, outta nowhere and eventually a couple of days later it died.
Making my investigations to get to the problem and therefore the solution, she stated that putting it on the SUS or SONY Pc Companion didn't help at all, plus keep getting error 0x0000067 or 0x000007d5 on PC Companion.
After seeing this, she says tried to unlock the bootloader to install a CWM 6.0 for the 15.4.A.1.9 software, wich it had running, didnt got through since the moment she enter the command through fastboot to check the bootloader status throgh the command fastboot flashing get_unlock_ability but no response just stuck on three dots.
Also tried to flash through FLASHTOOL installing the drivers and everything as ive done with other decives checking everything is okay, which they are, since ive succefully recovered an brick C1904 using CWM with a previous Backup, but the tool gets stuck on flashing loader and wont give a percentage.
Tried Flashing remotely the CWM.img to the boot, but it wont flash, always failed, as for specifics about the code, If really needed ill post them on the next reply.
Hope Someone can Help me,
Regards Jmaquilon
Which error are you getting while flashing the recovery? is it something like remote command not allowed ? If it is then try to flash the recovery in the boot partition (I have done the same many time cuz there are some problem s with my current kernel)and what happens is instead of system the recovery boots up ..
If this doesnt works then try xperiafirm it may bring your phone back to life!
Hope it helps!
Just flash stock rom using flashtool software. Download the Stock Sony Xperia M Rom here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2699085 and flash it using flash mode in flashtool. Good Luck
