Netflix update

Running CM7 RC0,Netflix works beautifuly, but now it comes up with a message saying that there is a new app available, but when I click Ok and goes to the market it doesn't find it, perhaps because the phone is not supported. So, anybody knows where to get the apk?

When done installing ,after clicking it turns white give it a few seconds..this works for me on ef02 it does not ask for updates

What are the requirements? I am on RandomRom and Geonicide kernel. I get the log in screen for netflix but as soon as I enter my usernme and try to log in it closes the app.

You need to be on EE03 or EF02 (Gingerbread) for it to work at all. I'm getting good everything from EF02Plus if you wanna mae th switch.

I am on the gingerbread ef10 modem.

There was a thread that had working netflix apps that didn't check for phone versions. I still have the apks on my card aswell.

What version is this? I have 1.2.2.

When I try to stream it says the device has been deactivated...it was working a couple data ago now its not..any suggestions

You may have the modem, but make sure you are also running the gingerbread rom EF02. If not you will need to flash it with oden like you did with the modem.

Video Chat app to pc

So are there any video chat apps that let us use our unrooted DINC2 and talk on the other end to a pc?? I've looked and found tango and qik but neither offer a pc app

so the only apk I have come up with that is supposed to work with DINC2 is listed below, but it didnt work. It begins to install and I get an error saying install failed

Did the Google Talk update not come with your gingerbread update? The new Google Talk allows video chat.

Pretty sure the google talk update is for 2.3.4 and the update was to 2.3.3

To OP - why don't you want to root? Just wondering.. I've rooted and using cm7 right now and skype works pretty nicely on it. I installed google tall update but haven't had a chance to try it out yet.

There is a way to install the video chat capable version of talk on 2.3.3, but you need root
Do a search in the android market place for talk 1.3 and it should be the second item found.
Its called:
[root] Talk 1.3 Installer by BRAINWASH STUDIO
I tried it last night and it works well

To be honest I'm new to the android world and I am fine with what I have. I like the feel of Sense, and from what I hear there isnt any ROM that has Sense and works very well.
Plus once you root, isnt it pretty hard to go back to stock?

ok so i uninstalled skype, rebooted phone, re-installed the apk and VOILA!!!

There are two roms that I know of that are exactly the same as the stock gingerbread with sense and one that is stock froyo, im running the gingerbread one, same as over the air update, minus some Verizon crap u can put back on if u wish, and I can do so much more with root, and I'm having zero issues or problems.

In that case would you mind sharing the gingerbread ROM ? Also, in regards to rooting can I use the unrevoked method, or is there an easier better way?

Trying to find any app available that will let me stream the games tomorrow. Don't mind paying for service either. Read somewhere that the official app doesn't work on ICS (running CM9 build). Need to get my game fix while at work. Thanks in advance. Post up!

Can I wipe and flash from CM9 on stock CM9 recovery with FC07 kernel.? OR should I go back to EL29 and CM7 and then flash?

I guess the guys who posted the app works didn't understand what I was asking. The app works fine but I've not had any luck with getting the games to stream in any game with any browser.
Saw that the OP for AOKP ROM now is updated to include the issue of video playback not working. My guess is going back to GB will fix the issue.

I can get the game to stream on Calk v 1.1. Only on wifi though. 3g wouldn't work.

Or they say I will but if I get caught they will take me off the service for good... So can somebody share some information with me on this subject or is you know if they even track it??? Okay I looked around a little bit, and found some article saying if I was running a stock t Mobile ROM they can track it but if I'm running a stock rooted rOM they probably wouldn't be able to track it. But I'm still not sure.

hey if you are not rooted then they can track you. But if you are rooted then you can use titanium backup to freeze tethering manager or tethering provisions ithink it is called in ics. Most custom roms have that disabled so you dont have to worry about it. But it also seems that since they came out with the new unlimited 4g that they figured out a way to do it even if you have that tethering manager frozen not sure how but they figured it out. Given some time someone here will figure out how to get around that too. they kick us in the balls we kick them back. Right now if the method above does not work because it seems to work for some people then they catch on or whatever also if you dont have unlimited 4g then it might work with no problem but if it doesnt the only way I have found around it is to use google chrome on your pc then go to the chrome store and get an app called user agent spoofer I think it is called and it allows you to change your user agent so you can use chrome but it will think you are using IE or firfox or iphone or android. So what you do is set it to android then you trick them into thinking that you are using your phones browser but you are really using it o nyour pc. Now unfortunatly this has some drawbacks like if you try to use netflix it will not let you or pandora it wants you to download the app but of corse you cant because it is a pc. so anything with flash really wont work. But if you are in a jam and need the web then it will work.
