Does the Inc2 use the same plugs for the charging port and other stuff like that? I'm on the dinc and I am deeply considering upgrading to the sequel before the 7th.

I can only assume you meant to compare with the Dinc as you mentioned that after the sentence using a comparison with nothing else I don't know what the Dinc has so maybe someone else can answer that part.
The I2 has a microUSB port for charging and data, and a 3.5mm audio/mic port.
Yea. Sorry if the question wasn't worded clearly. Lol. I was meaning to compare it to the original Inc.
The incredible 2 is both taller, wider, and thicker than the incredible. Not by a lot, but maybe enough that a dock wouldn't work. The microUSB is on the same side, so it is possible that if you have an extra tenth of an inch in your dock that it might work.
*Note: I never had a Dinc, the Dinc2 is my first HTC phone. I am going on comparing pictures and dimensions given by HTC.*
It's important to note that the usb port on the incredible 2 is flipped compared to the port on the original incredible. Have both in front of me and I just discovered this.
So a cradle/dock for the incredible 2 WILL NOT work with the original.

i just boutght one of these http://www.arkon.com/ when i had my MyTouch3G/Dream. The one that hooks up to the bottom of the passenger seat. Just kept using it for the new phone. Their generic and i think they work well.
I'm hoping ProMount get a holder for the 4G soon - I love their dash mounts.
Just saw the Official Desk Dock. Very sexy. They said it would be available some time december.

Did he/she say anything about a car dock??
They were not displaying it. I didn't have time to ask. They were taking to others about Windows7 phones.
Sent from my HTC Glacier using Tapatalk
Hopefully the Car Dock will secure the MT4G phone just as well as the Nexus One dock does. The charging contacts on the side will mean that you can just put the phone in the dock (which is attached to charging) so you will not have to attach anything to the phone.
But....if the desktop dock blocks access to the USB (being on the same side) then data access will not be available on this phone while docked (just like the Nexus One).
Keeping my eyes peeled for anything at T-Mobile or ShopAmerica.HTC.com
Do we know for sure that you cant transfer data through the docking pins?
a hard car dock + an app like dynolicious would be killer!
Car Dock
These come up on the t-mobile website. I hope a better one comes out soon.

I have that 'myTouch car holder' one. It's meant for the original myTouch, and it kinds of sucks. It holds the phone just fine, and it's easy to adjust; however, the clamps have about .05mm of clearance between constantly holding the camera shutter button down, or constantly holding the Volume Down key. Really annoying.
Also, T-Mo opted to not include landscape support into the entire OS! So when you try to use the phone while running Navigation, your contacts are still sideways. So dumb...
I hope they really knock it out of the park with the GPS cradle. The Desktop Dock is kind of a disappointment / nothing super fancy.
http://www.clingo.com/car-mounts/universal-hands-free-mount I bought this off of Amazon for 19.99 back when I had my G1, it works very well but I get nervous everytime I pull my phone off because of the removable back, I might just buy another battery cover to permanently stick onto the dock and just pop it out and go
Nice find friend. Can you post a video of the device?
I bought the Arkon's SM325-S originaly. I switched holder with the
SM050-2 recently for the look. It's pretty snug, a little tight with the snap-on cover.

I've been dying to have an Oem dock that would work with a case but none of them do. Would the Inc2 fit in any of the Thunderbolt docks with a case? I hate having to take off the case to use them.
Sent from my ADR6350 using Tapatalk
That's doubtful. The Inc 2 is way slimmer. You might try finding an Inc S dock though since they're basically the same phone. Might be hard to find though since Inc S is from Europe.
I have seen many Incredible 2 docks the reason I want a thunderbolt dock is because the Thunderbolt is larger and may have room on the dock for inc2+ case

Hi,
I currently have the euro charger with us adapter and its annoying how janky the thing is.
What are you fellow us owners using for wall chargers?
I'm thinking the Samsung galaxy note charger might be good. Its under rated at 5v .7A so it should work right just charge slower ...
Thanks

Just in case you're really cheap like me, an easy way to get the charger and adapter to "stick" together is to take some small strips of paper, fold them over and over again until they're about as wide and thick as a popsicle stick, and stick one in each side of the adapter socket. Then cram the charger into the adapter, and it'll fit like a glove. Before I did that, my charger would fall out of the adapter at least three times a day. If you'd like some pictures to see what I'm talking about, just let me know.

Who is dying to buy the wireless charger as soon as it becomes available?
I know it one feature i love the most from the palm pre and I'm glad its coming from stock to the galaxy s 3, but like when I tried to hack the epic 4g with the wireless charger it was messing with the compass, I'm wondering how its going to be? And if that's going to mess with the nfc too.
And will they have a wireless charger car kit?
I know these are questions many will not answer but basically I'm curious to know.
I am looking forward to the wireless charger.
I am interested to see how it will work and perform. I think there might be performance issues and maybe cause overheating. Hopefully no exploding phones.
If it works even decently ill get one lol

Samsung Wireless Charging Kit
Here's a pic:
I am, I just don't wanna pay more then 60 bux or so. I was in the uk s3 forum and there is a few guys that have modded a palm touchstone and powermat to work with the phone. Might go that way since it would be cheaper.
As long as it isn't too expensive i'm buying it.
Agreed
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
I'm curious to know if the official samsung wireless charger will work in the same way/better than the powermat. Since I already have a powermat this (powermat/solutions/wicc/ ) may be a cheaper deal and a good alternative to the official samsung product.
Sent from my SPH-L710 using XDA
Yeah, i am hoping its better than the powermat...and that two or three phones can charge at the same time on it
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
On the preview it looked like one phone could barely fit
You might be able to squeeze 2

With news that the Nexus 4 Wireless Charging Orb is being release in February, I'm curious to know if anyone has tested out this ability on their LGOG..... If specs are very similar to the Nexus 4, would the Charging Orb work....
It would be sweet to get this or some sort of wireless charger for our LGOG :fingers-crossed:
won't work
There has to be a wireless adapter usually on the back of the battery door for it to work. Unfortunately the nexus 4 has it, and the LGOG doesn't.
Some companies make aftermarket adapters for popular phones, however with a so called "non-removable" battery, it doesn't seem likely for us. But we can hope...

I read somewhere that with a little ingenuity and a soldering iron you could essentially make the OG compatible. Having never soldered anything in my life I ignored it, but try googling that if you feel capable of doing something like this.
I wonder how easy it would be to install the Palm Pre's touchstone coil in this phone, or if it's possible to install the Qi charging coil from an N4.....
I was wondering the same thing. I looked in the service manual and it seems that the same 2 powerpoints are on the Samsung Galaxy S 3 are also on this device. Can anyone confirm that these 2 points to the right of the battery are for charging contacts?

I have a couple of touchstones around somewhere. My biggest fear for this mod would be the pressure from coil pushing on the inside of the glass back.
