[Q] Virtuous Unity ROM not available to download via ROM Manager - G2 and Desire Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have searched through the roms availbale for download via the ROM manager, but I couldn't find the Virtuous Unity ROM anywhere.
Everytime when an update arrives, I have to download the ROM through my laptop and transfer it to my phone, then only I could install the ROM.
Can someone tell me how to fix this problem?

The devs have not put it on rom manager yet, there's nothing you can do.

you can download it straight to your phone though.... just go to their website and download it in the browser...

[Q] Rom Manager/Clockworkmod version problems

Greetings XDA-guys!
First of all, thanks for all the useful work to tweak Android and support!
I got a few Problems with Rom Manager, no idea left to handle it.
What I've done so far:
Device is rooted, ENG-OFF and HBOOT.
I Installed Rom Manager from Market and flashed 2.5.1.3 of Clockworkmod via fastboot utility.
Clockwork mod was correctly working and shows up in Rom Manager also.
I partitioned the SD via Rom Manager.
I installed Cyanogen 6.
I updated Clockwork to 3.0.0.5 (ace image) via fastboot tool.
I installed Cyanogen 7 (nightly) via Rom Manager.
Actual problems:
1) Rom Manager shows only Cyanogen Roms, nothing more. (Tested with Revolution HD, same problem). This problem persists any time.
2) Rom Manager still shows Clockworkmod 2.5.1.3, but 3.0.0.5 is definitly flashed. I can clearly boot into Clockworkmod 3.0.0.5.
I have really no more ideas left to figure out what happens with Rom Manager. If anyone of you have an idea, please _tell me_
Thanks in advance!
1. D'ont know
2. It's okay

1. until n unless you have ROM manager premium, it ll only show you the ROMs you have got.
2. Could be an issue with ROM manager itself.

Does it work with your DHD? If yes, which Rom Manager version do you use?

1) Get Premium if you want to see other ROM's
2) Flash official 3.0.0.5 via ROM manager, just become available and problem is gone. it was due to no 3.0.0.5 officially available so it identified as latest .
i face the same br. while im flashing DHD Ar Rom before i do i already updated my rom manger to v 3.0.0.5 after that i try to flash the rom when everything done the DHD stuck on the whit htc screen .
the only thing that help me to resolve the br. is going back to recovery screen then doing full wipe even for sd then removing batt , back the batt aging and going back to recovery screen as usual pressing volume down with power after skiping fastboot screen i enter recovery screen mount storge card the in ur pc rename the rom that u want to flash it to PD98IMG.zip then send it to sd card and remove the cable and batt ,return back the batt.then turn the power on while pressing volume down to enter fast boot screen /the device will search and install the rom auto..
without any other steps.
i hope that help other who fill down with the new update for rom mang.
sorry for my very bad english

[Q] Where is the official download for ClockWorkMod Recovery?

Hi guys
I have used unrevoked to push recovery to my device but it only installs CWM 2.x and i would like to find the official download to the latest CWM .img file so that i can manually push it to my device, i have tried going to the official CWM site but you are only able to download rom manager from there, thanks guys.
EDIT: after some time i found the directory on CWM website for those that are wondering its here: http://download.clockworkmod.com/recoveries/
you could have used Rom Manager from the Market

No he couldn't, theres 2 types of recovery one is permanent (the one you see if you reboot to recovery) the other is temporary and will disappear after use, Rom manager gives a temporary recovery.
Its like that so we can use the latest recovery image but still be able to flash older scripts by using a temp 2.xx.

Exactly what i was getting at thankyou, i was getting sick of having to keep updating to the temp 5.x so i just wanted to push the actual official IMG file to my phone for that recovery
not official but cwm 5.0.2.0 here
http://www.multiupload.com/M7HOETAK33
lol... site wont download for me!
I'm not sure how official they are - but there's a list of recoveries here if that helps at all

[Q] How to use ROM Manager on Gio?

Hi,
I installed ROM Manager and have the CWM from phiexz, but when I start ROM Manager and I select something I have to confirm model. I select the only option s5660 but then it is asking how which version i have. 2.x or 3.x.x . Can someone tell me what I'm suppossed to do?
Don't use rom manager it will brick your phone.
Try the search optie to find out how to flash a rom.

Help installing Rom and CWM

I have rooted my phone for the 1st time the other day using the basic CF autoroot. I have been looking into trying a new Rom. I wanted to try ARHD but it just isn't downloading at all been trying that for 2 days so thought I would try another. Downloading Criskelo at the mo.
As I don't really know what I am doing at the mo I have been looking into it. Now it always says:
"This rom will be installed by recovery mode, your device need Clock work mode recovery before installing."
And looking into how to download that i have to download rom manager and install CWM through rom manager right? Well I cant download rom manager as its "Not available in my country" i have tried variousways to get around this. Modded play store and that app that fakes your sim country (cant remember what its called)
Now my main question is how can i get around this do you NEED to have CWM or is there something else i can use or is it just not going to be possible to put any custom roms on my phone.
I live in Macau btw
Cheers

cant go Recovery mod on HOX after installing RENOVATE

Hi,
got this issue after installing RENOVATE final 1 ROM.
cant go now to Recovery mod, when i try it just makes the recovery screen like its loading and after few seconds it goes to ROM INSTALLATION, like im trying to install again the Renovate rom, which im not. (have the same options of choosing red or blue theme).
also, i get notification from the Rom updater - OTA to download new update (Final 3) and install - it gives me the same issue when i try to update.
now, im afraid to try and install a new rom, that it might and will lead to a brick phone?
what do i do?
Does the rom boot up to the OS ? If so....delete the files (ota, full rom) from the sdcard with a file explorer app !
Then try to enter the recovery again.
Yes the rom boots up and i use the phone daily with no problems...
so i just need to delete all those files??

Yes delete all ota files. They are probably in the download folder. You need to stop the autoinstall that happends inside the recovery. If it can't find those files it will hold off the updates ......
