[Q] [REQ][APP] Crackle Movies & TV app - Epic 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I know for fact that it works on the Sprint Epic 4G, even though the Market says it doesn't, cause I just had it until Sprint and looks like Tmo and Verizon decided that we should have to pay for it. So if anyone know a way to get the .apk, it just seem F'upped that we have to pay for a free service!?

Wow I used to have this and didn't redownload it at some point i guess. You are right that it is off the market now though.

I downloaded and I keep get shows with sample durations and messed up audio. The audio was a one time thing.

Someone with a supported device needs to rip the apk for us. I would like to try it out.
I wonder if someone running CM7 can search the market and pull the apk, looks like if its a sprint branded they block it.

You should try a different forum, and post back with any findings.

Yes. Thanks
DOES ANYONE HAVE THE Samsung app store APK?
That's what I had a hard time understanding, my bad dude.
the one I mentioned is a Internal app that you need to keep or your phone would be difficult to use.
The Samsung app store is to,my knowledge more available on euro models but it was available on many vibrant roms.
Just download one and extract it from the zip.

I EXTRACTED ONE FROM THE THE LATS SIMPLY HONEY ROMS AND IT DID NOT WORK.
I INSTALLED THE SamsungApps.apk AND THE SamsungAppsUNA3.apk.
NO LUCK!
IF ANYONE KNOWS OF A WAY TO GET THIS WORK IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
i installed the app store also, wanting to get the need for speed for free, but no luck it says "no update" when i open.
There is a way to do it....you have to trick the market into thinking your able to dl from the Korean one...there was a way when I had my tab and converted it to make calls to....dang it...if someone wants to dig around in the galaxy tab section...the apk is there...as well as instructions

Well, the samsung app he's talking about is part of the Telus Hercules model, i had that one, so it's somewhat part of the Telus SGH-T989D base Telus rom, maybe it can be extracted from there.

[Q] Has anyone got the silk browser working from amazon?

I got it to install fine but it forcecloses on start up.
Here is original thread.

I read that it's not working on the Galaxy Nexus but that may be because it's Samsung or because it's ICS. I don't think anyone is really sure at this point but I'll try and let you know how it goes.
EDIT: Still working on it. Have to wait until I get home to download it. My job hates file hosting sites so they block them *sigh*
Works on CM7, I don't like it though, rather use stock CM browser.

I guess it does work for us. Check the theme section, somebody posted about it there.

OK I don't know what gives, but I couldn't find it on my phone (GB) either either. But here is the work around.
I found it in Android Market on my computer and purchased it there. It made me choose which phone I wanted it installed on, so maybe it makes you pay for each device you have and that is causing us not to find it. As soon as I went to market on my phone, it was installed before I had a chance to hit the search button.
Edit... Ok ... so I have it. Is there a tutorial? I am confused.
I am starting to get it slowly though. Maybe when I get back home and figure things out I will start a post... I am out of battery for now.
well i have v1.0 ... >.>
but they updated so its time to break out ma tools XD
I purchased this app as well, its good but its missing some features the video on youtube showed. I was running the ICS leaked roms and none of them would work/compatible according to the market. I tried the market website and still didnt work, i had to revert to GB from Caulkin to get it after all. My initial impressions are mixed due to it still being a premature relase and not having all the features. So far one update was relased already so it seems like a good thing.
I purchased it and installed it yesterday on CM9. Ended up having to wipe data, and upon going back to the Market to install it, I can't find it anywhere. Dubious indeed.
So I attempted editing the build.prop as many have done to fix issues with the Chrome Beta browser, and still no luck getting this to show up. I liked the launcher while I was using it yesterday, but I'm enjoying CM9 more, so hopefully someone (likely won't be me) can figure out a way to get this to show up.

yep, 17 bucks is wrong for a launcher....
You know, I don't care about the $17 bucks that much...... IF its something I like and want. I wish they would put out a free version that is only good for a few days, something like 3-7 days, so that we could try it out before dropping $17.
I have it but don't really like it getting rid of it

Any dev or non dev have the nous to make a tablet rom?
Maybe a AOKP rom that is tweaked so runs in tablet mode from first boot?

Reading is quite useful.
You aren't entitled to an answer, people help for no personal gain.
You have no right to ***** if you don't get an answer in 3 HOURS.
set screen density to 160 and next time use search before you start throwing a pissy fit.
Haha, exactly why people leave Xda, answers like the above.
I know how to Google to change density etc, just thought a tablet based rom would be good. So everything is working correctly from the start.

Exactly.
That is what is wrong with xda.
In the few years I have been using these forums people ask for more and are half as grateful.
Its sad that people aren't bothered to educate themselves and put in the effort to find out something.
I've actually been looking into doing this. I just got my first rom to compile without errors, so it might be a while... I probably won't have this finished in a timely enough manner for the op anyway

This type of conversation is not exclusive to XDA. It happens in most all forum communities including Rootzwiki. As long as people can hide behind a screen name and a keyboard they will become overly narcissistic. The anonymity allows us to be rude, impatient, and condescending without remorse.
If you are not embraced by the community to the degree you feel entitled, then perhaps you suffer from the above. So pause before you blame the community, or their gracious hosts, and consider that honey attracts more flies than vinegar.

You'd only be allowed to "bump" once a day to get your thread to the top, and hope someone notices it and responds.
Aaaah the good old days.
Sad thing is, if he went into the dev or themes section I believe he'd find what he's asking for. Not to mention there's one floating around in rootz as well

Ok maybe I was jumping the gun a bit with the quick post but i didn't think it would get answered until i posted again. So I apologise for that.
I know there are tweaks around but from what I've read there seems to be lots of incompatibility problems..
Just wondered if anyone had thought of creating a solely tablet based ROM - with everything working out of the box.

I think its more about people using this phone as their daily driver and I am not sure if tablet mode works for that.
I believe there is an easy flashible MOD for AOKP that does everything you need for tablet mode. It is just one extra flash so not horribly inconvenient.
I considered it for a moment but I asked myself what is the point really? Outside of a cool YouTube app other tablet apps could be more inconvenient due to actual screen size. Is there more to this than customizing for customazation's sake?

It would be cool if tablet mode could somehow be made toggable
Sent from my Verizon 4G LTE Galaxy Nexus.
This is actually pretty easy to do on your own.
1) Download AOKP BETA 28 and gapps.
2) Download AOKP BETA 28 (Tabletaokp.zip) from http://rootzwiki.com/topic/20451-mod-12-roms-tablet-mode/
3) Extract files (only system folder) from Tabletaokp.zip, open AOKP BETA 28 with winrar(or whatever zip program you use) and gapps. Put the files from Tabletaokp.zip into AOKP BETA 28 zip & gapps as listed below.
3a)In AOKP BETA 28 zip Put build.prop in system folder(overwriting), put system/apps/Phone.apk in system/app folder(overwriting).
3b) In gapps zip put /system/app/GoogleServicesFramework.apk & Phonesky.apk in system/app
4) Install new rom, gapps and have tablet mode from the start (this is actually how i do it)
Would you recommend it? Anything better or worse than phone mode? Such as tablet apps being difficult to read (like a news app), or accidentally taping the wrong icon due to the denser grid?

Just tried this:
http://rootzwiki.com/topic/21353-mod-tablet-mode/page__pid__575489#entry575489
Not really keen.. YouTube looks great bit its a bit too fiddly to be a daily driver for me. Back to milestone 4 I go!

[WIP] Google Wallet 4.2 Version For Galaxy Note

Heya all... I got wallet to at least run on my phone with a card loaded... All I did was use the 4.2 build of google wallet... Changed my build.prop to that of a google nexus... And I had already linked my card to my wallet on the website prior to installing the app... Worked like a charm... But... Haven't completely tested it yet (hence WIP)... I went to McDonalds and the machine recognized my phone... And my phone said that it had sent the info, but it never cleared... It said to ask cashier to check for further instructions... But... The guy behind the counter had NO clue, and there were others waiting, so I didn't test further... Just wanted to share my experience... Just to let you know I'm running stock rooted...
http://dgrillman.com/filez/wallet.apk - APK File for 4.2 Version...
build.prop
ro.product.model=Galaxy Nexus
ro.product.name=yakju
ro.product.device=maguro
Another thing... Don't know if this had ANYTHING to do with it at all... But for some reason it didn't work the first time I tried to install... But the second time it went through... The second time the only thing different was that I had the back off of my phone... Don't know if it had anything to do with the NFC antenna, or if it was just a strange coincidence...
Ok would I have to remove the current Google wallet? I wonder why no dev has looked into this

Unfortunately I took a few days to post because this community isn't quite as nice as it used to be to people who are trying to help and add their .10...

In reality I can add the card information but google does not allow me to add the card to my device. So that is why it does not work for me. I am just going to reinstall Jellybomb and wait until they make some progress with the Cyanogenmod 10. I had a feeling this would be a waste of time. So the the apk in the original flagged my device as lost and deactived google wallet from my device.
