Hello,
since last night my Hermes has the battery always at 100%...
I have tried to browse the net for some time thru wireless, listening to music, use the gps functions, but the battery show up always at full charge.
Tried a soft reset many times but did not help... and I don't wanna hard reset it because I've installed black 2.5 since it came out and I have installed all my applications and data.. I don't wanna spend anymore hours to import everything.
By the way.. the only thing new i have installed last night is the jasjamming "buzzing" cab patch.
Anyone had the same problem before?
Thanks
i want your battery, it must be "buzzing"....
seriously though, not sure what has happened here or why it is happening.
haha.. yea right, my battery felt that buzzing effect for sure!
Maybe it will last forever... who knows
The obvious problem is that I just can't know how much battery I have left now... Since none of the solutions I've tried seemed to work (including "buzzing" uninstallation) I think i'm gonna wait till my device goes off by itself, then recharge completely the battery from the AC adapter (I never use it) and see what happens...
I think a HR would solve it for sure cause till yesterday it worked fine... I recharged it as always thru USB
something must have changed in the registry as its not polling the battery level anymore.
what 3rd party apps do u have installed, and
have u made any reg changes yourself?
Hi mates..
First- Jas... thanks for black.. testing since yesterday and I feel almost ecstatic. my rom of choice...
Second- gotta same problem.. batt always 100%. first I though it is caused by this option in htweakc to increase batt life, but I've switched it off... no luck.
I dunno, but when I was testing htweakc on wm5 it didn't let me chose wma ringtones, so maybe this app is a damn bugger??
oh yeah.. one more thing- reporting, that softick card export II is not working properly aswell.. cannot connect as a drive.
sorry for off top and thanks 4 help Jas. keep it up mate.
Hi bronx,
may I know which Hermes you have? Mine is a O2 XDA Trion HTC100.
Last night I did the Hard Reset I was NOT planning to do and guess what, after reboot battery was recognized at 80 percent (so all fine again, I tought) but now its not going down anymore stays stuck at 80 percent.
All this is so strange, 2 days ago it was running all fine... and now even after a HR ... without installing apps, well, I really don't know.
Do you remember what you've done before having this problem?
If you can, try a HR too, and let me know.
Thanks.
well... guess what?? today while I was working my batt went down 10%. heh
I guess it's coming back to normal.. I dunno what causes this weird thing with battery, but I was playing with HTweakC options abit and I switched increase batt life (on) and show batt indicator (on).
seems to be ok since then.
maybe with black 2.5 we get wonderbatt... one week on one charging.. well... that would be great
THANK'S ANYWAY JAS! will donate soon...
btw - I use mda vario II
I love my desire, but have to problems. the first is the battery live. This is my own fault because I can't stop playing with it.
The second problem is that I always charge my phone over night and that when I wake up I don;t have any sound. So I need to reboot. I find this really annoying.
Is there a solution to this problem, because I can't find it anywhere.
As of last night my phone has started chiming on the Half Hour, and on the Hour.
cant seem to find where to turn off.
Running cm6.1 RC1
Did you download the Android Windows7 launcher? If so, that's what's doing it. I deleted it, it was causing waaay too many problems on my phone.
lol, yah ok thanks do you know if it a setting or just part of the launcher?
I would imagine it being a setting but I wouldn't be able to tell you where to look. I played with it for all of 15 minutes before I got bored of it.
Hey everyone, last weekend I unrooted and wiped my phone, went back to factory settings, rerooted and installed CM6.1 RC2. I've been enjoying it so far (because I hate Sense UI) but I've got a couple of questions that need answered. Hopefully you all can help me.
CM6
1. Is there a setting to turn off always-on mobile data? I cannot find it.
2. For some odd reason, I cannot turn on bluetooth. I've not had a problem with turning on bluetooth with any other rom. In fact, I remember testing bluetooth the night I installed CM6. Is this an issue with the phone or the rom?
3. No matter how much I turn off Auto-Sync, it turns back on. What is doing this?
Battery Life
1. On average, I get around 10-14 hours battery life a day, maybe a little more if I barely use my phone all day. I've heard a lot of people say that an ideal battery drain with the screen off should be 1-2%/hour, but mine will drain from 6% to even 10% in 40-50 minutes (EDIT: Currently 75% battery left, unplugged for 2hrs 30min, done nothing but use the browser for 5 minutes, download something, and install it)! I use systempanel and spareparts to monitor which apps could possibly be doing this, but none look like they're eating up too much of the battery. I check Facebook 4-5 times a day, use the browser, and check Gmail. I don't use Google Talk. My screen brightness is around 30-40% and I have underclocked when the screen is off with setcpu. What is draining my battery so fast? It's a shame that there are so many cool things to do with this phone but I can't do them in fear of my battery dying before the end of the day
Sorry, that last question was long, but I did not want 2 separate posts. Thanks guys, I hope you can help!

1. no. you could however turn data roaming off or use a program to accomplish this such as "tasker"
2. what do you mean you cant turn it on? what does it do when you enable it? use the widget in your notification drop down.
3. turn off background data as well and that should fix your problem.
and as for you other question. 10-14hrs is perfectly normal for battery life on cm6.1. and fyi: its RC1. there is no RC2 for 6.1 as of yet

Ah thanks for correcting my mistake, and answering my questions. My battery life isn't terrible per se, but I guess I was asking more on how I could make it better (and if I had a rogue app/other battery eater), especially because I see people claiming anywhere from 20-40 hours with a few tweaks.
And regarding the bluetooth issue, it just won't turn on. The option grays out for a few seconds like it usually does when it's initializing, and then it doesn't turn on. The notification widget method does not work either.
Also, there's no other way to turn off auto-sync? I just think it would be a hassle having to turn background data back on everytime I want to use the market. I use JuiceDefender, too, could there possibly be a conflict between the app and my phone's settings?
Man i'm with you here, I use CM6.1 too and love it but the first 30 minutes i unplug the phone from charging i'm already at like 90% battery =/

I had the same problem with my Bluetooth recently. When I try to search for devices the phone locks up and I have to pull the battery. Wonder if this is a kernel issue. I am on snap
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App

Yep, I'm on Snap too; must be it.
Another thing; I've got a friend on Stock 2.2 Sense (battery sucking widgets filling the home screen, etc) with 100% brightness and mobile data constantly on and he gets better battery life than me (20+ hours!) What is going on!?!?!

I couldn't believe it either, he had 3G on all day and everything and we barely get any signal at all in class. On for almost 8hrs with more than 70% left. I was at about 53%
i did some search, but i guess im not so good in that, im sorry if this one was covered already, but i have "problem" i just flashed leedroid 3.0.8.2 on my desire, and now every time then battery charged i getting loud notification witch says something like " battery full charged" or something like that, mainly i charge battery at night, so im getting this notification two or more time at night, i try ed to put in vibrate mode, but still getting this notification, anyway i need to keep my sounds on (for personal reason), but i need to kill this "you're battery is full" sound
thanx in advance (taskers and similar app its not an optinion, i need to kill this sound)
