Use astro file manager.
Sent from my evil evo!!
Astro is no go
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
why not? navigate through the sdcard to the removed apps folder, pick the .apk you want to install and tap (don't long press) it. it should then give you the option to install. make sure you have checked the unknown sources checkbox in applications so it will let you install apks from the sdcard.
Click to install...gives me all the access warnings...finishes installing and displays an error message that says it failed ?

Do you have unknown source check?
Sent from my evil evo!!
Yes...i tried to be poetry thorough before I posted...checked forum and did google search...just not working...i don't injure if its because its a sprint app or what ?

Try this.use amo-ra, and do a wipe of cach and dalvic, not data, and see if that helps. Than try again.
Sent from my evil evo!!
Than go into applications, manage, all, astro file manager and forced stop, clear data.than try again.
Sent from my evil evo!!
Forgive me..amo ra?
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
Amo_ra?...is that an app?... Done a lot of rooting...but not familiar with that?
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
Download rom manager from market.open, flash clock work mod, than go down and flash alternative recovery, witch is amo ra.than reboot into recovery, and do a clean of cache, dalvic.don't do data.
Sent from my evil evo!!
Gotcha...thank you..before I try I noticed something... In astro under details of sprint navigation it shows that the file size is 0...maybe the app is missing? I don't understand why it goes through the whole install if thats the case?
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
Well that could be the problem.okay.go into google and search fire sprint stock apps on xda.this should bring a topic with the apks.

Tried to send file via gmail...same 2 errors...app not installed, and invalid parcell

You can't just click on the app to install on mikfroyo. You have to push the app to the system apps folder.

it worked fine for me = THANKFULLY !
Did you also make sure there wasn't another vending.apk in /system/apps? Nothing should be going wrong if you're following the directions posted above unless it's some bad download. Try the new market that is out. It's awesome and works flawlessly on my Epic. Make sure you rename it vending.apk once you put in on your sd card. Use root explorer to copy/paste it to /system/apps.
Try installing the app I gave you regularly or try the new market app that should be in the first page of general

What causes force closes on stock roms? How could one cause that to happen?
Thanks,

it could be corrupt data. try clearing the cache for the app that force closes via settings > manage applications.
I'm more so asking how to cause the issue the issue not how to fix it I guess. Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App

Reinstall a sense 3.0 rom over cm7 without wiping, then restore system data, pretty sure that would do it.
If ive helped you, please hit the damn thanks button!

Guys I'm running decks evo-gingerbread-deck-1.2.1 coupled with the tiamat 4.0.6 I'm having trouble downloading anything that isn't from the market itself. Everytime I try to download it shows up with an error message saying unsuccessful. Also every app on my phone is force closing at random. Rom manager, youtube, gallery, facebook, etc. Any ideas?
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App
reflash the rom, and try a different kernal this time
I've tried this multiple times. Same result
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App
you have tried a different kernal?
I've tried the stock kernel for the rom, synergy, and tiamat including sbc.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App
Make sure you wipe everything besides the sdcard. Once the ROM installed wipe dalvik cache before installing the kernel. I have found this to help fix the FC.
Thanks guys the force close issue is fixed but it still will not allow me to DL outside xda or the market

Clear the market data/cache.
Also, delete the "android.secure" folder on your sdcard.
You should also run fix permissions to correct force close issues.
I can't figure out how to fix permissions with amon-ra recovery

In recovery, select other, then fix uid mismatches. That's it. Also, if you have rom manager you can fix permissions from there as well.

First delete or rename "root//data/data/com.android.provider.contacts/databases/contacts2.db". Now copy provided "ContactsProvider.apk" to "root//system/app" folder, change permission to rw-r--r-- and restart the device wait some time for data to sync. Hit the thanks button please

Sorry for being a noob on the subject but how do I go about making these changes or is there a flashable update I can download?
tried this out on PAC ROM, and after rebooting, I get the "process android.process.acore has stopped" error message. going to put it back the way it was.
Thanks for all the fixes

How does the fix work?
Edit: quick Google search gave me this
http://android.stackexchange.com/qu...twitter-facebook-accounts-in-jelly-bean-4-1-1
I'm guessing the provided apk is modded as suggested by that link, and the db file is auto generated on reboot with the required columns (or reinstalling the fb app does it).
