Hello.
Does anyone know what is the largest (mAh vise) battery we can get that would fit Atrix 4G with default cover? 3000mAh seems to require a new cover.
Thank you.
I bought a "2200mah" standard size battery off of ebay for $10. You know, one of those direct from China deals? Well, it blows. Even with juice defender I was only getting about 15 hours out of it. Went back to stock battery where I can get about 24 hours with juice defender. I'm sure this is too much info but what I'm saying is just buyer beware.

Is anyone using the mugen 1800mah extended battery? If so I was wondering how much time you got with it vs the stock battery. So far it is the strongest battery I could find that still uses the stock battery cover.
I'm using a different 1800mah battery off ebay, and I can say I'm very pleased with them. I don't know if I get a full 20% more battery life, but I'm sure that they last longer than the stock battery. Plus the matching red is a nice touch.
This is what I have:
http://cgi.ebay.com/HTC-EVO-4G-SPRI...ccessories&hash=item335fa61cc1#ht_5259wt_1060
He's raised the price $10 since I bought them two months ago.
not a Mugen but i tested a comparable battery bought from best buy here:
http://forum.androidcentral.com/evo-accessories/29856-best-buy-1750-mah-tested.html
additionally, there is a link in there to someone that tested an 1800mah bought off ebay.
my advice: results may vary. buy it, test it, if it doesnt work out, send it back.
So it sounds like the Mugen or the Seidio is worth the extra money over the generic chinese brand as far as getting extra performance. I think the mugen is a little less than the seidio. I had originally thought about picking up one of the 3500mah batteries from seidio but eventhough they have an innocase for it, there are no holsters that will hold it. I need some kind of belt clip holster. So unless anybody knows of a holster/clip that will work with the 3500mah battery installed I will be stuck with a couple of the 1800 batteries. Do you think something like this would work with the 3500 since the very top and the very bottom are the only thing in the holster?

One last question about the Mugen 1800 battery. I found a site and the Mugen 1800 for the Hero is $11 less than the Mugen 1800 they are selling for the Evo. It is essentially the same battery isn't it?

I was about to say the same thing...I have swapped batteries and they are the same. Touch Pro 2 as well.
Good read about various batteries and performance. link
i was wondering what everybody's best extended battery is i have considered buying one just don't know which one yet what is the best one for the most reasonable price and what differentced do you notice cause i do wifi tethering all day and i get about 4 hours on a full charge on usage and that just is not enough. what about the sprint battery extender.
I absolutely love the Seido 3500mAh battery. When properly charged, I can go well over 24 hours of use and I'm a moderate to heavy user.
Where did you buy out howe much link ??

I got my 3500mah on Amazon. Works great. Paid 23 bucks. Might be the same price. Don't really know right now. But have been using it for a long while now.

I got 2 extended batteries with 2 backs and 1 battery charger on ebay for $19.00 and they work GREAT! I can go 24+ hours on a charge.
Using the Siedo 3500 extended as well and it is very nice. However, price wise it is on the top end (I got it free as a gift) and the back cover is flimsy compared to some others. It would never fit as good as the original back since getting it. Might of been just mine.
My co-worker got this one and loves it: http://www.amazon.com/4G-3500mAh-Extended-Battery-Cover/dp/B0042TY68C/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1312381770&sr=8-2
He has had it for probably 4-5 months with zero issues. Free shipping, good reviews, and seems to be popular cause is out of stock for a few more days.
Only advantage to the Siedo is if you want to get a Siedo case, such as the Convert, than you have to use the Siedo extended otherwise it won't fit. Just something to consider.
Can get day & 1/2 out of my phone with heavy use no problem.
I bought the OEM 2600 mAh battery from Sprint, and I can go two days on a single charge. That's with pretty moderate data use as well, since I'm texting a lot and answering emails all day for work. Just make sure you fully charge the battery before you use it to ensure optimal performance.
Yes Marty, I built a time machine out of a DeLorean.
I use ordered the Trident Electra case for my phone, kinda like the otterbox cases, but the electra series comes with a 2800mAH battery. Works great with correct conditioning. I am a moderate/heavy user with games and social media. Oh and I got my Trident case from Amazon, its like 12 bucks cheaper than the actual Trident website.
I always used this website for batteries and always they were great
this one is estimated to ship on Feb 21 just 2 days before my bday i might treat myself!
Code:
http://www.mugenbattery.com/mugen-power-extended-2000mah-battery-for-verizon-samsung-galaxy-nexus/
it says it's 2000mah how much more battery usage i can expect?
before i flashed franco kernel (which was about hour ago)
my battery would hold around 12 hours on 4.0.4 i always listen to music text and do some web browsing. Thanks guys
You get ~14% more capacity compared to the 1750 mAh battery. So don't expect too much.
Why wouldn't you get the OEM Extended battery? It's half the price and holds more charge. If you're worried about the case the difference is barely even noticeable, most cases fit with the extended battery.
I get about an hour more on average compared to stock battery, which makes a huge difference for me. It's also good having an extra battery anyway.
If you've got a Verizon version, just buy the extended battery straight from Verizon its 2100mAh and comes with a proper back cover for less $$.

Thank you, forgot to mention that...like I forgot to mention since it's OEM you don't have to worry about the build quality being too poor, like you do buying from some unknown company such as the one in the OP
i dont want it to get fatter to be honest thats why i wanted to try that battery
and i will be using mesh case its similar to bumper case since i dont like most of the other cases

The OEM extended barely makes it thicker, it keeps NFC, and it is cheaper with more capacity.
You're going to put a case on it anyways, so why do you care about thickness? lol.
if that mugen battery is not larger than stock one i can assure you that you are not getting more capacity. mugen batteries are decent as far as aftermarket ones goes but they over advertise their capacity and charge more than oem but dont take my word for it. check out this website that tested some mugen batteries actual capacity. mugens 1800mah is actually 1400 and thier 3600 extended is 2500. http://batteryboss.org/
I recently purchased the Qcell 3650 extended battery for my white Tm0bile sgh2, by far the best purchase I have made in a while. I can charge my phone use it as much as I want and i do not worry about running out of juice. I have removed all battery saving programs I do not need them anymore.
I do however worry about dropping the phone the back cover is a perfect match to the stock phone and it is slick seems to be the way it is with the white phone. Is anyone aware of any protective case that will work with this extended battery of of a case that one may be able to modify to work. I have looked all over and so far I haven't found anything I love this phone best one yet but the case options are slim.
You can find it on [email protected] under this description. It was 19.99

I have the same case and battery, and sadly at this point it looks like we either have better battery life, or a better protected phone. I have just resorted to getting a good quality holster for the phone. Let me know if you find an alternative!
Heres an ideal i was to happy with extended battery till no case drop phone crack money Stock phone ROM is bad for battery 1% by hrs ive just tried
ICS 4.0.4]:ARKSIDE.UCLE2::[BETA06

Someone found a protective case for extended battery?
Do you have pics? If you go to amazon and search t989 lazza cell extended battery case that is the only extended battery case that I know of. I just got the lazzacell extended battery it has NFC capabilites and is a great battery and I got the case for it as well it is great. And the best part is I used to use the seido case for my phone with the regular battery and it came with the clip holder and the phone fits the clip with this extended battery case perfectly!
Well I saw it here: http://www.seidioonline.com/samsung-galaxy-nexus-3500-extended-life-battery-p/bacy35ssgng-gy.htm but I want to see if anyone have a picture of it with the cover: http://www.seidioonline.com/samsung-galaxy-nexus-convert-extended-case-holster-p/bd4-hkr4ssgnlx2.htm since those pics are not the best ones. Also do you recommend it?
Thanks
No one? I really want to know before buying it.

I don't have a picture at the moment. I don't have that exact model, but the model I got from ebay is a 3800 mAh. I also got a case that fits around it.
With the case and the battery it is probably twice as thick as the phone with standard battery and no case. I don't mind, it fits in my pocket very easily and I feel much more comfortable with it.
took some pictures
I also have 3800mah battery, i took some pictures. rider.planet.ee/nexus
At first it felt little bit to big, but after few days its ok, fits in pocket.

Same questions to you... Have you been able to find any cover?
I just bought a cheapie ebay extended battery with cover, and it definitely improves battery life to nearly double the oem battery. I am pleased for the $8 I paid.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-3900mAh...3372&pid=100011&prg=1005&rk=2&#ht_1350wt_1111
Couple it with a bumper case (so the cover fits) and you have decent protection.
I bought an Onite 3500 mAh battery from Amazon several weeks ago for vacation days hiking. I was surprised how small it was. I didn't take it off until a week after I got back. In the city I get at least 2 days with juice to spare. It also supposedly has NFC, but haven't used it yet. It came with an extended back cover.
I bought an extended soft TPU case and pair that with a Seidio surface holster.
I paid about $13 for the battery, and combined with cases, no shipping.
I'm definitely happy with the battery.

I bought this battery for my GSM - ebay.co.uk/itm/251005399006?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_3041wt_1113
they send me 3800mAh instead of 3500mAh, or is it just a sticker on the battery that says its 3800mAh, definitely it lasts longer than OEM battery. Haven't bought case yet, but this one looks nice - amazon.com/Trexcell-Transparent-Thermoplastic-Universal-aftermarket/dp/B007XWP788/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1344185186&sr=8-1&keywords=extended+soft+TPU+case+nexus

I bought that case and it is fine. It is actually somewhat translucent and has a slight pattern on the back. It means I can't keep my mad money in my phone case, but otherwise it did the extended battery well.
The Onite batteries seem to be getting more expensive but they can still be found for about 25 dollars, which I still think is a good deal. My 13$ battery is a veritable steal.
