Anyone here have much success rate with speaking your destination? Seems to work well on youtube videos when people are demonstrating it. Whenever I try it, and I do speak slowly and clearly, it comes up with all manner of gobbeldygook.
Tonight I tried it again and I said to it " 52 long lane". No word of a lie, it came back with " 52 lol lame". Seriously it did. So is there some trick to getting more accurate speak recognition? And is it necessary to start each command with " navigate to.."?
Waste of time....stick with typing!

I`ve added voice to text to my desire and also the language translate app as i`m learning spanish.
One of the first things I tried was to say "can I have a beer please". The voice to text thinks i`m saying "can I have big titties please". LOL
It results in this every time apart from one time when it replaced titties with penis!!
Apart from being funny to show people do you think someone is having an internal joke with this. can someone else try and see what they get?

lol on mine it came up "do i have a beer freeze"
I gave 2 tries (in my Pak/Indian accent), this is what came up...
1- Can I have your keys...
(2nd one made me laugh)
2- Can I have your KNEES.....LOL
I'm using the voice recognition that started working after I installed Better Keyboard and it gets my words right every time. It's amazing!!
this is great! apparently I want herpes and on the second try I apparently asked for deer penis!

Can i have a beer please -> genital herpes
LOL
This is the worse (or better, depends on who you ask) case of "Blind idiot" I guess.
Thanks for the laugh!
And I so gonna test this when I get my claws upon my own desire
i found this over at the nexus one apps and themes section. It is in chinese but you can change the language to english.
-steps to turn into english-
first open the game and you will get a little popup with 2 choices click the left one. after that you should get a load up screen that says "team Top3"
after that it will take you to the log in screen and press the middle button.
It will take you to the registration screen, fill in the following:
Username:
Password:
Repeat Password:
then hit the button to register.
Enter your credentials in the log in screen and press the right button this time.
once you log in keep on pressing the most right green button until you get to another loading screen that has plants popping up from the floor. once that finishes loading press the button underneath the loading bar and you'll finally be at the homescreen with a tomb stone.
Once logged into the tombstone screen click the second pot from the left at the bottom of the screen and you should see "EN" with a check box.
can you link to where you found it? Kind of skeptical
sure i found it here forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=934017

haha from what I've read, this is a just a clone, but a really well made one
pretty sweet if you ask me, it should hold a lot of people over until the official is released
has anyone checked to see if this thing is pulling any personal data in the background? There are wall papers on the MARKET with some malicious code.. it'd be pretty easy to sneak some into a game as popular like this and sheer the sheep.
I've heard that the internet access permissions are for a chinese gaming score system or something that probably doesn't apply to most of you here but there's a bunch of people using the app with no problem or compromised data...but use at your own risk I guess

damn closes with no error after developer splash screen, epic 4g
thank you
this worked out great after figuring out that you need at leat 4 letters and 3 numbers in ur password and i put a number in my name just to make sure. Thanks again.
I have tried all formats for name/pw as well and nogo, can't someone just take the apk apart and make it english by default so we can at least know what error we are getting?

Took me a couple times to get it right. Ultimately, just kept following his directions n it worked.

Actually its quite awful. Very poorly made, low resolution, and not that fun. There is an APK floating around that doesn't require the login, but I'm not going to bother digging it up again, since its probably warez.
Better off to play the copy cat "Leave Devil Alone" or wait until the real PVZ comes out from Popcap.
I actually think it got good res in my opinion. It looks like the real thing.

This forum requires that you wait 20 seconds between searches. Please try again in 20 seconds and do not refresh the page or the timer will reset. (This is to prevent robotic abuse)

If a search returns 0 results, 20 seconds can be a really long time. Often enough, you'll just remove a word from the query, or make a small change, then you'll want to search again. But you can't - you have to wait 20 seconds; and even worse, the timer resets when you hit Search too early.
This is obviously a feature of the forum script. I can see why it has been activated - it does make sense to combat abusive bots and other attempts of the like. I also realize that this may not be easy to change without disabling the feature outright.
I'm not suggesting to disable this feature completely. Why not remove the limit for logged-in users with more than 10 or so posts? Or 25, or whatever? I don't know if this is vbulletin, or if it's possible to make such a setting without coding up a function for it, but I'm hoping that you'll consider it, and maybe even look into it.
Thanks.
I understand your frustrations and believe me, we have tried more lenient policies. However, we had a robotic attack on our Search functionality where someone used bots that were logged in (yeah!), in an attempt to bring down our web site by repeatedly using the Search. Even though some searches return no results, they still have a resource impact on the servers. That brought down the entire Search system and we had to make the difficult decision to have the 20 second timer.
We are working to dramatically improve the Search, however I don't have an ETA on the roll out just yet. Keep an eye on the announcements, it is being worked on
thanks for the reply svetius, that's great news! I fully understand the issue and it's great to hear that you guys are working on it.
thanks!

Hi.
S-voice seems to work more accurately for my "accent" than google's program so I've had a decent success rate with it for daily use this last week.
That said, I cannot tell whether this feature is available: when I ask it to send a text or email and give it the content, it asks me for a visual confirmation that it got the words right. is there a way to get it to speak back what I asked it to type up? I've spent last three days searching without luck, which suggests this doesn't exist yet so I'm just paying to obtain confirmation and closure.
Thank you for your time.
I found it strange it did not do this. Its almost all hands free up until this point if your using Bluetooth you have to look at your phone. Almost makes it pointless. I have not found away around it yet but I do agree it should read the text back to you.

Thanks for confirming. The one time I got google now to write a text message for me, it, too, did not repeat it outloud. Well, I just won't use that feature then, it's already gotten me in trouble with incorrect word.
I found a an application called "assistant" which sort of does it well, but it's just so.. rough. Always a compromise, isn't it?
Bummer.
Edit: the correct links are down a couple posts.
I posted this over in the AT&T forum and thought I'd give back a little cause its pretty cool.
I recently posted a question in Q&A about any TV remote apps that can be voice controlled. No luck. I stumbled upon this tasker plugin by Ozkaya that is awesome. http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...php?p=45572797. It allows you to program your IR remote with Pronto hex codes(many found here http://www.remotecentral.com/ as posted in the Dev's thread).
I combo'd this with Utter! and like magic, I was able to program voice controllable macro's, functions, anything really as long as the hex codes were available. And there is alot of them. I have Verizon Fios and the motorola codes worked for my box even though they weren't the same model. To me, this is an awesome show off tool (and slightly practical if I am eating chicken wings and need to switch between football games!). I literally say "phone" to wake up utter and "channel back" or "ESPN". as a command.
I did nothing here but stumble upon a combo of apps that work great together. If you like the idea please check out the thread and thank the Dev's and support their work. I feel this is one of those gems that slipped back a few pages and got lost. Hope you like it too.
If someone really wants to get tweaky, here is another plugin for Tasker that will initiate the voice recognition in Utter! when the phone is on charge and the stop it when is taken off charge. Its towards the bottom of the thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...php?p=34339449.
Congrats using tasker! I hate it! I prefer just writing out a full android app xD

Thanks for the ideas. I mainly do this to really show the kids what can be done with this tech, but this is actually practical as my 85 pound "lap dog" likes to curl up on me and makes getting to the remote a little hard at times.
God, it took me hours to figure out how to get Tasker to send a text at a set time and for that have hated Tasker and never delete that profile, but going to try this out. Thanks for posting man

Thanks bro. Its definetly more of a cool show off tool but I searched hard for an app that did it and ccouldn't find one. Tasker is a little tough but this is all premade commands so its a little easier. Still took me a few minutes to set up though. Regardless, I imagine only a few people can this with a phone which makes it cool to me. Hope you like it too.
No problem.
I had a moment of being a complete ass.
Go into a local place that has the TV just way too loud.
Have the phone programmed to send the universal TV off codes and just say "Phone, shut that **** off" and see what happens.
