2600mah battery with door! Excellent battery! - Captivate Accessories

Hey guys, i know alot of people have been looking for a good battery and i think ive found it.
2600mah battery that comes with a plastic door for the captivate.
http://cgi.ebay.com/Extended-Batter...Accessories&hash=item2563d966b8#ht_1074wt_923
ive had it for a week and the battery life is pretty solid.
just last night i was on my phone for 16 hours and still had 37% left.
battery door fits perfectly, it has not given me any problems.
however i do suggest that you charge up the battery to 100%, delete the battery stat, then let the phone die completely and charge it with the phone off to give you the best battery possible. (this is what i found was best to do when getting a new battery)
so let me know what you guys think. and good luck!

This is probably no different than the 3500mah battery. I wonder if this is TRUELY 2600 or is it 2200 like the 3500 battery is.
Let us know what type of battery life you are usually getting, like real stats to compare with.

Any new reports on this one?

Yes.I actually have this very one.its pretty damn awesome so far. Had it about a month. Solid no problems. Constant 14-18 hrs heavy use. But I have gotten 2-3 days on lite use. I never have to charge this thing really. Until I go to bed. Iwould recommend it.

Thanks. Just ordered. Going to give it a try. Will post back after a while on how it goes.

I know it has to do alot with how each individual uses their phone but with cognition 4.5 i get 15-35 hours from every charge. My wifi is on almost 100%of the day as well. Make sure you are letting your battery drain completely or as much as possible between charges.

I never turn GPS off, and leave WIFI on at home all the time. Also Blue Tooth. I get 24 hours often, but, if I do heavy use, ie GPS mapping, display on a lot, or games, I can't get 8 hours out of it.
I"m interested in a larger battery for when I go on vacation and want to have the GPS on a lot while walking around. That's why I interest in the larger battery.
I do have extra batteries, but as noted by many, not being the OEMs, they are less than 1500, and show it on how much time they provide.
Will be interesting to see how this one does.

I've read the tread on the 3200.
I decided on this 2600. Received it yesterday. I'll post back how it goes. Need to do a couple cycles and get the battery calibrated.

Purchased one...Battery life is much much better. thanks for the suggestion.

will this fit with a rubber/silicon cover? by otter box

There is a post somewhere of the Otterbox with cutout for the battery. I don't think it will work without cutting out the back.
I have one ordered and plan to do that.
FYI...my first run on the battery: it went 36 hours, and had 9% left when I plugged it in to charge. Usage included browsing, 3-4 short phone calls, 15 min of GPS usage. Wifi, GPS, Bluetooth on 100% of time, email, Pulse reader; and the last hour was used playing music through a blue tooth headset.
[EDIT]
This is the post about cutting the Otterbox, with a picture.

Better battery, what about case

That is my question. It's great to have a better battery, but what about something that will still fit the phone and protect it?
Are there any cases that wil fit with this bigger battery on it?

Look at the post above, he added a link to someone who cut out the back of their case. So the answer is floating between yes and no. There don't seem to be any that are designed to fit around a phone with a larger battery, but if you don't mind your phone looking pretty ghetto, you can cut out the the back of your current case. lol

Just bought one. I don't use a case, so no worries there. We'll see how the battery life is.

It looks like the auction in the op sold out, so I got another 2600 mah battery on ebay. item# 290570071497 (n00b = no linky). Received it yesterday. There's a sticker on the box that says it needs 3 full cycles to reach, "maximum performance." It's been 19 hours since I unplugged it, played 4 hours of youtube videos and 3 hours of other heavy use, at 37% currently. Running Mosaic VI and didn't reset the stats.

Does anyone know of a battery that is the same size as the original, but with a higher capacity? I want more battery life with out the added bulk. Even just a little more capacity would be nice.

I'm assuming that this won't fit well inside the Body Glove case?

[MINI Review] OEM Moto Extended Battery 1930mAh

Well I decided to go pick up a Original 1930 mAh DROID X Motorola Extended battery. I USE my phones to the hilt, I sync everything, use everything, and take full advantage of all the features like you should when you have a device like these. All in all I am not a battery scrimper, I have a charger at home, one in the car, and a USB hanging out of my laptop everywhere. LOL. I have always hated the Tumor that sticks off the phone when you are using a EB's, but since you can barely Moto's EB is even in the phone I thought I would give it a shot.
Now to make this to the point..... When I put the battery in new it was at 30% I ran it down to the 5% warning and red blinking light. After a full charge from the Wall charger (Which only took 2 Hours BTW) I pulled it off and ran it "business as usual"... Calls (About 2 hour 20 mins worth), Browsing, Chat, Pics, Texts, Apps, Wifi on, Downloads, Played Rock band for awhile, Full sync to all 5 Gmail accounts, FaceBook every hour and Twitter the same. Plus a 1300mHz OC (Low Voltage) with out Screen off or battery low profiles (I thought that would be unfair). Here are the findings....
Total Time Unplugged: 14 Hours 34 Minutes
My setup is in my Sig but... basicly it is Rooted, I stripped ALL Bloat from the Stock ROM, and like I said before Droid OC to 1300 (Low Voltage), Also... GoTo Lockscreen
So now.... I can leave my chargers at home and plug in once overnight. I have to say, this is the best $50 to spend on the phone.
NOTE: This was only after the FIRST charge, after 3 complete charges I can only assume it will be better.
EDIT>>> For a comparison... Running the stock battery I would be at 20-30% by 12:00 (Noon) Easily

I'm with you on that. The fact that it adds barely anymore thickness to the actual phone and the amount of power you gain from it made it an easy purchase for me.

One thing that is concerning to me is why does the first screen show your battery at 33oC? Were you charging at that time, though the icon doesn't seem to show that. I hardly get 28oC at 1.3ghz stress test while charging.

I did notice my temp did go up after installing the EB... The screens where taken at the 5% warning.
As I said, that was the first run of the battery. Now after the second full charge I have been steady at 29c. Maybe a conditioning or burn of the battery?? Can't really say.

I have this battery too, and I use the standard battery door with it. It is a little snug, but it does fit. This avoids any excess bulk. I have used it this way for a few months now. I am running apex and overclocked to 1.3 and my battery life is great.
I've had this battery for quite a while now and I've found my battery dying A LOT faster than it used to haha. When I first got the battery, it was amazing, now.... not so much haha. Been doing charge cycles and clearing battery stats but it still remains bad haha. Still much better than the stock battery though haha.
ive always been tempted to get the extended battery and today i finally purchased it. Your review definitely helped get me to do the obvious and purchase one

Verizon and Motorola should give you a commission!
Due to your review, I went back to the Verizon store and bought the battery. Heck, the salesperson never told me that they even had this available, or I would have bought it with the phone!
I'm running it in an Otterbox Defender case, with the battery cover that came with the battery. So far no issues, but I'm getting much better battery life.
Thanks!
I'm going to the VZW store today to get this battery, thanks for your great review!

Hey, I have an Otterbox Defender and I have been holding off on picking up one of these batteries. I really want the extended battery but I don't know how it would work with the case.
So the battery does come with an extra back plate for it? Have you tried the battery on it's own without a back plate and just using the Otterbox case and if so, how does it fair?
me too! just got it today!
The battery comes with its own battery cover. It didn't feel thinner, but a bit heavier. I'm guessing it's a heatsink.
I put the battery in, put the cover on, and put the Otterbox case on. It was a tighter fit, I had to be a little careful in ensuring that the two halves of the otterbox case locked together. But it's together and I didn't have to modify anything. I've been using it ever since, and haven't had any problems. And I *love* the extra battery life! I routinely have 40% left at the end of the day, and I'm a pretty avid user. I have an Exchange account on push, gmail on push, and use google voice constantly.

Seidio 3200Mah Battery and Convert Case Review

I just purchased the 3200mah battery and the Extended Convert Rugged Case for my TB and figured id write up a quick review as fast as possible.. I have few words to say about the experience other than that battery is ****in awesome! I got at least 20 hours of easy battery life and 3G has been on all day watching youtube and everything i can throw at it! From 7am till about 11:50pm is when it died. Thats is a very long time! Oh and forgot to mention it was its first full charge Battery package said it would take 5-6 charges before it becomes fully stabilized. I worked in a town that had hardly any service for part of the day.. anyways here is the chart. it shows your just how long it took to fully charge and to fully drain. The case feels very nice and strong. Was dissapointed it was just a basic screen scratch protector IT will have to do. This combo costed me 119 and some change.. So get your wallet ready if you want this bad boy.
Pictures below should be everything you want to see
After first day of using. Think she did pretty good

Overall a very happy camper, Yes it comes with the clip but its out in the car so... yea.. its just your basic seidio clip with the flap on top like for the droid 1.
So got any updates on this? Has the life gotten better?
Yes the battery life still gets about 22hours on the chart. U can go to work at 7am play on it all day and spend the rest of the night trying to kill it. I always have like 40-60% left when i finally get home about 6-7pm. And i use it alot. Im very happy with it. And almost forgot i never turn off 3g anymore lol. Im at 45% right now and it says i still have around 9 hours before total discharge. Its damn good

Hahaha....
Well I have had this battery for about 5 days now and I have to say it's worth the purchase. I downloaded 200 MB and was at 50% percent. Also on a normal work day streaming music Bluetooth, chatting in text plus, sent over 50 txt, sync email every 30 minutes, and watching netflix for about 20 minutes on lunch, GPS on and have it on 3g. With all that I get down to the 40%

BUMP - battery clips on back of battery door?
VZW customer service has stated battery doors without the metal clips for the antenna will impact the phone's reception. Can anyone please validate whether the battery cover for the 3200 mAh battery has metal clips for the antenna on back? THANKS!
I purchased a 3500 mah battery which lasts forever. The only thing is that the metal connections on the battery door are not the same. This causes me to never go into 4g and I drop calls a lot.

This is consistant with what I have heard. I was also told not to buy the cheap no name extended battery on Ebay, because the battery door does not have the metal clips and will not get reception.
I have this battery.. pretty sweet. cycled it maybe 4-5 times so far. I keep doing the charge all the way with power on, turn it on, 99% it will read. turn if off, and let it charge till it turns green again. how many times should I do this before I just say screw it? Im seeing over 2 days of use. and I text constantly. the screen on auto brightness is my main drain. BAMF 1.8 stripped here, Immoygen kernel, 1.4 ghz O/C all day long. I used to get maybe 12 hours if i was lucky on the stock battery, I use my phone all day long, bluetooth, talk, usually no gps but always 4g service. Anyways if anyone else has this battery please post up results, I can show my juice saver battery stats.
I get 4g no problem. my case has metal clips. not sure what the problem is.
Just let it charge.. if its 99% deal with it. It stops charging at 100% to keep from overcharging the battery. Just use it and plug up bfore bed. Calibrate it monthly or every weekend like me. Just let it die which it hardly ever will
Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA App
what is your correct method of calibrating the battery? I'm working on it, think I have enough discharges now to start using it normally. do u turn it off at night to charge or leave it on?
anyone have a calibrating method they would like to share?
I reecently purchased the Seidio 3200 mAh battery and Convert extended case aswell and I can't wait to try it out. I'm not currently rooted so we'll see how it goes.
I also purchased a Hyperion 3500mAh battery so ill hopefully have battery life for days without being a slave to the 120vdc wall socket

I use the BatteryCalibrator in the market seems to work well with my sedio 3200 Mah battery

[BATTERY][unboxing/review] Anker 1900Mah

Hey, My first unboxing/review so tell me if I have missed something, The batteries are here For 2 of them, along with a wall charger with a USB port on, for £16 (Used to be £12) And on it's own for £8 here, There will be hopefully alot of pictures and info through out, and currently I don't know how well they perform as I have only had 'em a couple hours, or if that they are actually 1900Mah, I'll take of the whit bit later and find out, however, 2 batteries for £16 with a wall charger and a year warranty, I'm not going to complain
All the pics were taken with my SGSII and I have re-sized them, Hopefully they are not to small but I didn't want them to be huge, Also sory for any blur, I don't have the steadiest hand in the world
First the box, Starting right from the beginning here if anyone cares, Very simplistic, cardboard and says Made in China on the top, nothing too special.

Inside the box, Packed neatly.
What's in the box, the 2 batteries, charger and UK adapter (You'll see why later)
The charging unit, Which has (I think, Never been, there) a USA Plug built in, which...
Flips out to look like this.
The UK plug on it, (It slides right on)
Anddd,, Where the battery goes.
The battery (Both sides) With all the info on, Looks and feels high quality.
With the battery in.
Some of the instruction booklet (If you can read it)
It whilst charging, The light is actually nicer in person and more pink (Also fit's the original battery.. Obviously )
It fully charged/not charging, Blue/Purple light (again looks brighter and nicer in person)
Some comparison photo's between the Stock and Anker battery.
And that's all, I'll post how well it performs asap, But to be fair im going to give it the 3 recharge cycles as stated in the manual, Then compare it to the original.
Thanks for reading
great looking forward to the test results
wondering though how come some anker can put 1900mah in a battery the same sized as samsung and samsung cant do such thing as a default? hmm

Just turned everything on and clocked it up now to drain the battery , Should be done by tomorrow ,
I guess it's to save money on Samsung's half, But I'm not too sure either.

I'm curious too. My cheap Chinese battery's say their 1800mAh and is more like 1300-1400mAh which was no surprise at the time because its easy to print whatever on the sticker without proper testing. See here for proper testing http://translate.googleusercontent....h.html&usg=ALkJrhje4iAnKMYySrm1MUK2mZPX9GLr8Q and a few more batteries http://translate.google.com/transla...e/samsung-galaxy-s-ii-2-3500-mah-2430mah.html

If you can't tell I'm a little sceptical about the 1900mAh claim but you never know. So I have also clicked subscribe
As soon as you tell me how it works, I'm buying it in the states. This one looks very promising. Is it the same size as the original? Thanks.
same size as the original, however as far as I can tell its ever so slightly thicker and heavier but not noticeable, also it seems promosing : D I've been trying to drain and I'm still at 16 percent, where as my stock would have easily died by now

You think I should cancel my order that I just placed?
i have had this for 2 weeks. Pretty good. Does the job. no overheating issues.
After the first 5 charge cycles the batteries take about 6 hours to charge in the dock, which is fine because trickle charging is good. And having 2 spare batteries, you can leave one on charge and have 1 spare with you.
Battery life increase....nothing spectacular , someone that knows how to test it should comment. I am interested to know the findings
Sorry but that battery didnt work. Already tested and the stock battery is more better. Just let the battery drain to 5% and you will see.
If these are in fact the same as the 1800mAh (1300-1400mAh) then they are actually expensive compared to them The charger is definitely inflated in price for just a different sticker.
so is this brand a good brand??
Damn well thanks for the info guys, 1400mah it is then,
I haven't done any lab tests but its feels the same as stock battery to me on day to day usage.
I bought from the brand because they have excellent reviews on htc sensation, people report 20% extra battery. check amazon reviews

Trexcell 3800 w nfc

I recently purchased this battery w the tpu case as a package for $29 shipped. It is fantastic. The fit is top notch. The tpu looks great. Anyone looking to get more life from there nexus this is a great alternative. I enjoy the slim nexus, and yes, she is fatter now, but damn the life is well worth it. My wife was killing it on the stock battery in about 2 hours screen on time on 3g in an OK area . We have more than doubled that now and makes the nexus that much more desirable to her. All that screen needs to be fed. I will post screen shots tomorrow for anyone interested in moderate use stats.
Once 4.0.4 drops hopefully these numbers will only increase.
Disclaimer: this is my wife's nexus and I have rooted and heavily modded each and every phone she had had. I am really wanting to see what a stock nexus is all about so these will be from a stock Verizon nexus w any apps I see fit to be disabled that get in her way.
I will try to keep this updated. Maybe people will find this informative.
Update. 2nd full charge. It is getting better every charge.

I will. We just didn't get any good ones today. I have a maxx and hopefully this battery gets somewhere close to it. I has been good so far but for $30 if she can get a solid 4 hrs on 3g I would be happy. Tomorrow evening I will have a good ss since I know exactly how long she gets in the stocker.
It is fat. But feels better. A lil heavy but that's what you have to expect.
No way. After seeing that, I'd rather carry around extra 2000mah batteries with me like i did with my Nexus One. That is WAY too ugly! You can rationalize it all you want, that is fugly!
Lol to each their own...no battery swaps here. Use all day either way I will update the thread. I'm sure the purist will disapprove
Ugly, yes it is. I just ordered my extended battery. Usually I will rock my phone in it's natural state but when I know I will be out of my office and not have access to a charger I switch to the extended. It's a great feeling to know that I can do whatever I want on my phone and not have to worry about it dying.
Cool. No link?
Yeah, I have that same battery, getting about 5 to 5 1/2 hours of screen on time. It's worth it. Was only getting 2. It just took several days to condition it.

I have the Hyperion extended battery and the same case. I'm not crazy about the case and the circles make it look like a woman's purse. Did you find any other cases?

Looking forward to them screenshots. And to the poster with 5 hours on screen time was you on 3g or 4g?

I am still settling the battery. The trexcell I bought for her gs2 took almost a week to settle in. I will post them once it gets consistent. First day got 3 1/2 which is better but I am sure it will settle in for the 4-5 hour range
She made it all day thru work though. She hadn't done that for the last 4 days haha

Today has been a mix of wifi and 4g and a little 3g but left lte radio on regardless. At 1h30m screen on she was at 74%. That is a dramatic increase over stock and on day 2 of charge cycle. Gonna run it down and post some screen shots tomorrow. Its looking very very promising and for >$30 it will solve her poor battery life issue. Once 4.0.4 officially drops I am hoping it can get near the life my maxx gets but that big ass screen sucks some juice

I think the official 4.0.4 is rolling out, isn't it? The build imm76k is the official build I believe.

Updated w 2day full charge. Its getting better. No tricks have been connector increase battery life other than setting background processes to 3.
Full sync. Auto brightness. Left wifi on even when not connected. Stayed on 4g all day etc. Should be getting better and better after a few full days of charges. May update again on Wednesday
I gave been using this battery for about three weeks, now. Battery Monitor Widget estimates the mAh rating on it to be 4235mAh +/- about 40% (wide range, I know, but at least it gives a point of comparison). My guess is that it is somewhere near, but below the middle of this range (3025-5929).
I did not have the stock batteries in use, to compare to on this, but I assume that their 1850 mAh rating is close to what is advertised, as many have reported. At the price, even if these are at the rock bottom of the range that the program reports, they are still over 50% more power than the stock battery, and therefore a significant improvement, at the price.
As for the look? It isn't bad, it feels good, in my hand, and my phone is reasonably well protected. The circles on the case are barely visible, in most light. The way I see it, if someone is fixated on how "ugly" my phone is, they aren't looking ME in the eye, anyhow, and I don't have time for people who are too cool to make eye contact with me. I shamelessly wear Crocs, too--they feel good on my feet, and if you are looking at my feet, then you aren't looking me in the eye--same concept, and it filters judgmental people out of my life, in the process.
Edited to add: I have the Sprint version. On eBay and Amazon, this battery is advertised as Verizon only and that it WILL NOT fit any other version. I can assure you that it works on Sprint, with only minor mods to the replacement back, since Verizon has the tabs that hold the back in place, positioned differently. A sharp knife or a nail file, and a few minutes, is all it took to make it work.

Seidio must be trolling its competition on Amazon

Seidio Innocell 5,000 mah [Extended Battery Review]

I've had my galaxy note gt-n7000 for almost a year & everything about it is stock straight from the factory including the battery.I follow the same routine every day using my phone from 8am until the battery would die by 2-3pm with constant usage of wifi (YouTube & Pandora) while at work.
I've lost my patience with the stock battery having to constantly worry about battery levels at all times. Keep in mind that I've searched xda for any tips or hacks that would give me more usage time.
There is no magic tricks or hack that can significantly boost your battery time to the point where you can use it non-stop for a full day.
Phone Settings / Tweaks to improve battery life
I've optimized my phone to death ... take a look at the list below;
- Underclocked from 1.4ghz to 1.2 ghz
- Set the governor to conservative
- Lowered Brightness to absolute lowest
- Turned off 3g radio to 2g radio
- Turned off haptic feedback
- Turned off automatic light sensor polling
- Frozen useless bloatware from the ram using titanium backup
- Turned off autosync via settings
- Tried both juicedefender Ultimate and the stock phone settings
- Tried wiping my battery stats as well as taking out the battery to recalibrate
So I took the plunge on extended batteries and was lucky enough to receive a unit from the gracious folks over at Seidio to review.

Please keep in mind that the stock battery and the Seidio extended battery were used for a minimum of seven days with normal usage for comparisons.
Covers & Battery Size Comparisons
The backcover & battery does add a bit of thickness to the back of the phone but it makes the phone feel more sturdier. The extended backcover is a great improvement on the OEM's cheap plastic feel. I also noticed after initially holding the phone in my hand that the cover improved my grip.

Covers & Battery Weight Comparisons
STOCK OEM SEIDIO Extended Battery
Seidio's extended battery is a clear winner against the stock battery
Summary
I'm ecstatic at the endurance of the new battery. I can run any program for a whole workday even up until I go I go to bed around 12:30am at night. It's the best feeling in the world not worrying about charging your phone every single second of the day.
The only con I could find which is not any fault to Seidio is that the OEM charger is not powerful enough to charge the battery in a timely manner even if the phone is turned off. This can easily be remedied by grabbing a more powerful usb charger from Amazon.
The great folks at Seidio were able to pull it off, I highly recommend every Samsung Galaxy Note owner go out and purchase this battery. It is the real deal and better than any alternative battery being sold on the market today.

When I get more time I will post a video review of each batery in operation , while having wifi , bluetooth , gps , max brightness etc until the phone dies to show constant run-time.
Nice, I was thinking about getting the mugen power battery but if the difference in battery life between the two isn't that much, I'd much rather get this one for about half price. How much screen on time are you getting with it?

The figure you see the table above has screen time averaged in because YouTube requires the screen to be on to work. I had mine usually on low brightness. Around 8-11 hours if you don't go crazy and do 3d gaming. It's all about phone optimization combined with an extended battery will make you unstoppable.
I feel the mugen back cover looks cheap and the metallic stand ruins the look overall phone style.

I agree with you, this battery cover has a cleaner look. That screen time sounds about the same as the mugen battery so I'm definitely getting the seidio battery. I only hate the fact that the phone is going to look bigger than it already is, but I'd rather have awesome battery life than worry about that.
I had my friend bragging about his s3 to me but stopped short when it came to run time being four hours.
What's the point in owning a Ferrari if you can only drive five miles?

He he true. Amazon raised the price of the battery so it's a good thing I bought it before the price went up, though it's still cheaper than the mugen battery.
Well, I spoke too soon. The price of the Seidio battery went up to about $71 on Amazon. At that price, I would rather pay a little extra for the Mugen battery and get 400 mAh more. Good thing I bought the battery before the price went up.
