Files or better to say graphics you are looking for are in:
framework-res.apk\res\drawable-hdpi
Caled texfield...pressed...default...search...bla...bla...bla.9.png files.
And those are compiled .png files so they are .9.png.
So google for editing .9.png, you'll be surprised how complicated is that

HTC Home screen 1.11 Help

HI,
I like the default home screen that comes with the Cavalier (sorry). However, I changed the background image and the fonts do not show very well. I would like to change the font color and the highlight font color. I need the font color in white and the highlighted font in blue (not dark blue).
I'm not familiar with the .xml programming; however, if anyone can help me to change these two parameters on the HTC.Home.xml, I would be really happy.
Is it possible to do these changes? Will I need a special Editor for changing the code? or could it be done with a common application?
Regards,
REY

[Q] Changing Latitude Font Color

How would I go about changing the colors of the text in Latitude? I'm guessing that I would have to edit the XML, but I wasn't really too sure what was going on when I opened it up in a Hex Edtior.

Change all Font Colors

Is there a way to change all the font colors on my Inc.
Now they are all white against my black background. Would like to have them sort of a gold color. Thanks
I believe you would have to edit the .ttf files in /system/fonts in order to change their color. I believe adobe photoshop can edit ttf's.
Yes I was still researching this, hoping for a quick fix but I think you are right. Thanks.

For this you have to decompile the launcher apk, than go to res\values and open styles.xml.
In the xml file search for
Code:
<style name="BaseHomeIcon">
(should be on top)
and change the value for the color in red
Code:
<item name="android:textColor">#[COLOR="Red"]ffffffff[/COLOR]</item>
Recompile it, copy the AndroidManifest.xml and META-INF folder from the originale apk to the new compiled apk and push it to the right place.
