This ROM is an outstanding stock style ROM that is blazing fast.
Can one of the talented themers get a black style (onyx) theme going for this ROM?
Or, if you are currently running BB and using a theme, what theme are you using?
Many thanks!

I've been looking for this too.
It's the most stable ROM that I've found for the nexus and nobody is theming for it
Will be keeping an eye out.
Until there is a stable version there likely won't be any themes for it.

There are themes for AOKP, which is updated much more frequently than BB
I'd also like a theme to get rid of the stock grey fade in menus and such.

AOKP is also 100x more popular.
yeah a theme for bugless beast would be great
+ 1 for black theme.

Good to know there are some theme-hungry BB users out there

I know there is one thread labeled it is the only official ICS thread, but I have a slightly different question...
My vibrant broke, and there was literally a ton of ICS roms for Vibrant... now with the Galaxy S2 I see plenty of ICS roms, but they all seem to have some kind of touchwiz basis... I hate touchwiz with a passion. I love the way google sets the phone up like on the Nexus...
Are there any roms that are just lightweight pure and simple ICS roms for the SII?
I'd love any responces and i'm not trying to troll i've searched a bit with no results.
Thank you anyone.
Also i know about the APEX launcher I was just wondering if there is something more direct.
CM9 and AOKP will both give you a pretty stock or more than stock experience.
Miui is a whole different ball game but not touchwiz

The cm or aokp roms, but they aren't fully functional.

Slightly off topic but why get SII when you can get the nexus? Sounds like you would love that phone more... and cheaper too.
Anyways, AKOP/CM9 is probably your best bet when dev gets really rolling on it with an official source release.
Because 4g.
Waiting for source.

This. Ppl that have had the s2 since long before you are also sick of touchwiz but there is nothing the devs can do to remove it completely till we get source
Questions go in the Q&A section
Coming from the Vibrant I had a pure google ICS rom and it was fully functional...
CM9/AOKP which would you guys pick. CM9 still in the alpha stages and really buggy? I would just like something stable..
hi all
just wondering , what's your favourite android skin beside stock ?
TW
sense
Motorola UI
xperia ui
LG ui
etc ?
for me i love xperia the most since it feels fluid and is very elegant , sense is a close second but it i prefer elegance over eye candy
IMO TW is the ugliest , huge icon , too much colour and yuck it just don't appeal to me ...
so whats your favourite ui?
Stock 100%
I am switching from Gnex -> SGS3 this weekend. The hardware is a clear upgrade but I will greatly miss the software on the Gnex. Bug free and always the latest. Cant ask for more.
Aside from stock, I've used Blur, Sense, and Touchwiz. Touchwiz is hideous, I really like the look and functionality of sense. IMO, I used to love the look of sense back in its early days, of course it was extremely bloated back then though.
Just from appearance, since I've never fully used any of the skins except for Sense for a bit, I guess I would lean to Motorola's UI? Just because from what I've seen it looks closest to stock (remember I've only seen it, never really used). The widgets in Sense are nice, that's the only thing nice about Sense for me though..
If you're talking OEM skins/ui then the Sony Ui is the only one that looks good enough to keep it

Out of OEM skins I would say sense looks the best and is the most functional, I also prefer stock over anything else.

Completely agree. I used to like Sense UI but it looks a bit childish now.

If I had to choose a skin, it would be Sense. Its the most polished one in my opinion. However, the skins arent really moving forward quick enough with the Android base and thus feel very outdated extremely quickly. My overall favourite UI would be the stock UI. Its the most clean, polished and refined UI.
If I must compromise the stock UI....
Definitely Sense 4.0+
They really improved in it on the One series. In fact, I'd like to see a HTC Nexus phone again.

I hate Samsung's TW... I played a bit with my friend's GS3 and the menus look like Froyo menus.

Sony's is the worst by far...
timescape is useless and pinch out to widgets is dumb.
newer sense or touchwiz at least adds meaningful functionality into the mix
i can´t answer you because i am super-satisfied with the android stock skin.
i don´t want to try another one although i have the minco custom rom which is very smooth.
Kind of funny but I can't stand the Sense UI. I think it looks childish and takes away the best of Android. I also very much dislike Touchwiz as well as it also looks rather childish. The only UI I could use (But still be somewhat annoyed with) is the latest version of Motoblur as it does keep most of the stock Android look but adds some nice touches.
I prefer sense over all, but have stock for updates. I love sense's widgets and look.

Ur right about adding more functionality but, looks alone the sony one looks best.
Sense looks kind of boring and touchwiz is a little on the ugly side
Thats why u see so many galaxy/htc users running a rom based on stock

I haven't met a worthwhile Android skin.

I tend to agree. Whenever I use any other skin other than stock, I tilt my head, say "aww that's cute", and then immediately go back to stock.

stock android
used a bit sense years ago,now it's more functional and good to see,but i prefer the stok over all UIs.dislike all the rest,TW first.personally i couldn't stay with a tw phone anymore
Yea touchwiz has to be the most horrible UI ..I was stuck with a captivate few years ago (great phone) but the tw was crap...
I like sense and I've seen xperia but haven't been able to mess around with it..

Good:
- Sense is the best out of all.
- Touchwizz Nature UX is great It just works, has eye-candy but not too much. Theme could've been better though (when looking at settings menu)
- Motoblur is awesome but it does not give that much extra. I think Motoblur should be the way stock android looks
- Stock Android. Just the way Android looks and runs the way Google intended it to run.
Bad:
- I hate sony's UI. Not well optimized, looks dull and sluggish on capable hardware (Xperia Ray 1Ghz, Adreno 205, 854x480 on 3.3") But I think it's more Sony to blame
for not optimizing the darn phone (it's on stock 4.0.4)
- LG UI. It looks like it's more meant for low-end smartphones. Not something a high-end smartphone should have. Makes the device feel cheap just by looking at the UI.
- MIUI. Looks are fine. But oh-my! What is it resource intensive! Not recommended to run on an Galaxy Nexus. Slows everything considerably down.
I think that if I had to leave stock, it'd be the LG UI. Its the least irritating.

So I posted this a couple of days ago here and got some useful advice. But looking around I've now seen some ROM's that are TouchWiz based, so still maintain all of the AWESOME S-Pen and Mutli-View features amongst all the other cool stuff TouchWiz brings on the Galaxy Note II, but I was wondering;
IS THERE A GALAXY NOTE II ROM THAT HAS ALL OF THE FEATURES OF TOUCHWIZ (OR IS BUILT ON TOUCHWIZ) BUT IS SKINNED OR THEMED, ETC, TO LOOK AND FEEL LIKE STOCK JELLY BEAN 4.1/4.2?
All help is greatly appreciated guys, I'm a n00b here
Stick with stock rom.
And use npva launcher.
Get a sexy wallpaper and you have a 4.2 theme.

I love TouchWiz, but for some reason the AOSP look looks more appealing to me, my question is does anybody know a working theme for the T889V Galaxy Note 2, I have it deodexed and rooted?
Thank you to ANYONE who replies
Check out motomoto00 theme, its in the international section. My favorite for tw roms.
