[Solved] Htc wildfire s battery problem - HTC Wildfire S

Using as much as less widget or using launcher pro will stop your battery drainage.
Find the post useful Click thanks.

I think the dialer is the battery killer. Uses 97% or something stupid.

Dialer is using 97% because no other thing is using the battery. As if you open wifi, gallary then this percentage will be less.so nothing to do with dialer because its the only app that runs inside the phone whole day.So using my described trick will stop your standby battery drainage because launcher pro uses only 10 mb of ram and stock htc launcher uses 50-60 mb of ram because it contains lots os widget + 7 home screens.Decreasing home screens with decreasing widgets will stop your battery drain.
If you dont believe just try it.I am also owning a wildfire s and because of this trick it lass for 2 and half day.

I use Launcherpro and have 1 weather widget and my battery lasts about 1 day. I do listen to music and text people throughout the day so that could be why.

Hi where can I find launch pro
Sent from my HTC Wildfire S A510e using XDA App

You can find it in market. There are 2 version a free one and a payed one. the difference are few (some proprietary widget and the ability to resize any widget)

Text people throughout that day. I think you had enabled the sound and haptic feedback . These both are one of the battery drainers of touchscreen mobiles. Try disabling it. It can help you

Don't have the sound on. Dont think people would appreciate my phone making sounds in college haha. Will try disabling haptic feedback, should help

Hi,
today I recharged the battery for 3 hours, while it was off. After 6 hours 1 call for 2 min, and 3 txt I have 60%
i am using ADW Launcher v1.2.2
@shreyasharusia
is ADW so different like the Launcher Pro?

[Q] Transparent status/notification bar in leaked GB?

Hi there,
I'm using CM7.1 with Meizu theme now, but I'm looking for another ROM with less battery drain and 720p recording. I decided to go for the latest leaked GB, but I'd really love to have transparent status bar like the one I have now (you can take a look in how this theme look like here) - Launcher isn't a problem, I'm going for XPeria Arc's one.
So, my question is: without the theme chooser app from CM7, is there any way I can get a transparent status bar without having to mess around with framework-res.apk myself? In other words: is there a transparent statusbar there already made for Defy?
I know there is a simple way to apply themes by flashing them via Recovery, 'cause Barebones has various themes available this way here (since this ROM uses CM7 instead of GB, CM7 themes work on it - the themes on this thread are only for the Froyo version).
Thanks in advance!
P.S.: I know it would be better for me to post this in the themes & apps section, but, honestly, almost nobody uses that section for this kind of thing
Wow, that actually looks pretty good.
I'd like to get it too
You can try MS2Ginger fulfills all aforementioned and the best battery backup I've experienced out of any 2.3 rom.

No transparent statusbar (only default GB MotoBLUR bar), but seems ok: has good battery life and 720p rec. What are the differences between blurred and deblurred versions (besides MotuBLUR, of course)? Blurred seems to be more updated, any advantage in getting it (since I won't use any BLUR apps)?
My bad, mistook the Notification bar for the Notification pane.
The De-blurred version lacks not just the services but even the Motoblur interface ( ADW included) , not any significant improvement on the battery though. So I dumped it after 2 days of playing around been on on blur ever since and dont worry even the blurred version lacks services like FB etc as the Creator couldnt get it to work and you can always remove unwanted apps.

Tried it for a few days, now I'm going back to CM7. My phone is horribly slow since I flashed the ROM (even before I restCored my apps w/ Titanium Backup), with CPU Load Timeline reporting 100% CPU use most of the time. Too much CPU use = crappy battery life: it can barely stand 6 hours. Just as an example, I tried to get it off charge (was 100% charged) while sleeping. When I woke up, 8 hours later, it had less than 60% left - that means 5% per hour, without even USING the phone: mobile data was set to EDGE, WiFi was off, no background apps running... That was enough for me. I'll stick with CM7, even with its faults, it's still the best ROM available, I think.

Hmm weird , the battery only drops 3% max for me overnight (10 hrs). The Rom is overclocked to 1100 mhz by default , Did you make sure to underclock and rest assured undervolt it?! I also removed a lot of system apps and services that i dont use. My usage can be classified as average with 2-3 hours of wifi , 1-2 hours of gaming and I am on a 3G network but the data delivery is usually set to off and it lasts me 2 days.

Go launcher drain battery

hi guys
i'm using go launcher from months... BUT i wasn't happy with my battery life so i moved to zeam launcher
results:
1% of battery in 3h 45m this morning
with go launcher i got 2% per hour in standby
i'm loving zeam launcher! ;-)
Jesus..I am using Go for a month now, it doesn't drain any extra battery than TW!

i know... but try zeam launcher... it seems to be very light... more than tw and go launcher... i'm impressed... i'm still at 1% after about 4h

Zeam is a good launcher but as with most things you have to compromise. Slightly higher battery drain is a price well worth paying for all the features go delivers. That being said I see go and my battery doesn't drain at 2% per hour in standby.

Will have to charge at the end of the day anyway. Which ever Launcher I use. So I'd rather have a fully-functional and better looking Launcher than a stripped down one

Does the battery usage show up in battery stats? Or are you just making a general statement. For me golauncher does not appear in battery stats.
I also experience battery drain with Go Launcher and much prefer Zeam or even Launcher Pro Plus or the much maligned Touchwiz (sometimes). Don't have the numbers to compare with OP, but it's something I always notice when I used Go Launcher in the past. I always like my phone to have much juice as possible even if I can charge it at night.
is the 2% per hour drain with WIFI or with 3G on?
I get a 1% drain with WIFI only after leaving the phone in standby over night (about 5 hours)

I have been using go launcher for many weeks on different ROMs. (Litening, LeoMar, Checkrom) and I loose around .5%-1% battery per hour in idle mode.

I've used many launchers, and i dont recall any of them ever showing up in battery usage, regardless of high or low usage.
But I have to admit that Go drains much faster on my GS2 than LPP ever did, but i love the cylindrical transition effect too much to uninstall.
Edit: When I refer to drain, I dont mean idle mode (almost nothing drains for me in idle mode: 0.5-2%/h is negligible). Swiping thru screens is when Go drains the most (about .75%/m, vs. LPP, which does not drain as bad even with 3d fx while swiping. It must be zimply better coded)
why u people r debating so much?? i hav used almost all da launchers available in market.
To see whether ur launcher drains battery or not, just go to settings-app-running service.....here u will find SPB shell 3D and GO launcher always runs in background and occupies almost 50 mb.whereas others like tw ,tw4.5,zeam,regina,i,adw,launcher pro plus do not occupy even a single bit
now its ur turn to decide which launcher drains battery the most

[APP] Deep Sleep Battery Saver

Hello folks,
I came across this app which basically forces your phone into deep sleep mode when not in use( screen off). It turns data, wifi off etc. And wakes phone on in every half hour or other intervals you choose to check email etc. It does not do much when you are using the phone but saves a lot of battery when the phone is not being used.
I am using CM10 alpha 6 and it works great for the time being. I highly recommend it for people having battery issues.
If you want to try go to google play and search for "deep sleep battery saver".
My first impressions are really good.Just wanted to share...
Edit: Here is the link for play store
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rootuninstaller.batrsaver
Here is the link for the xda-version thread where you can get .apk

as your recommended, we would appreciate if you include a playstore-link of the application
so we can download the right apps directed form your link easier,
and most users here use their mobile or tapatalk to access the xda forums
thank you
Link is added on the first post.
Apparently there is also free xda version of the app which includes paid options. There is a thread created by the developer on xda but since I am on my phone right now, I cant find the link. But a google search will lead you there.
EDIT: Link for xda version is also added for your convenience.

That is the point. It just wakes every once in a while (30, 45, 60 minutes etc. you define) and get all sorts of notifications etc. There will be delays for notifications. It is a price to pay for a dramatic increase in battery life. If you want to be notified immediately for a facebook, twitter etc., then this is not for you.
Now I can get around 30 hours of battery life easily. Before my battery used to die in about 17 hours or so. So the choice is up to you..

3 days with Zl... is this normal?

Hi everybody
I had bought a Xperia Zl 3 days ago and I love it (I used a Xperia P before) now I have 3 point that I don't like of it
1. Sony UI (is not ugly as hell but it can be better)
2. Battery (it goes very fast for me)
3. Sony update service (they are so slow releasing upgrades)
So, the problem is the second one, is normal this phone eats so much battery?.. But there's something else, the download is not normal for me, the phone when is full charged and I disconnect it begins to down the battery in pair numbers I could say, from 100-98 from 96-94 but really fast, just making calls?
Then, when 60 percent of battery arrives the download begin to slow the speed I mean the battery is during more....?
Is this normal? What do you think? Sorry for my bad English and long text...
Cheers

Welcome.
1. Sony UI:
You can install the launcher / theme of your choice. Many people go (in Google Play) to:
Nova Launcher,
ADW Launcher,
Apex Launcher,
Holo Launcher,
GO Launcher EX,
MiHome,
Regina Launcher,
Smart Launcher,
SPB Launcher,
Next Launcher,
etc,
only to return, months latter, to the original Sony launcher (this is my case).
2. Battery:
Please remember the power management options (stamina, low battery mode), and also turn off GPS, bluetooth and data transfer unless you really need it (Wifi usually consume less power than 3G). If you want more, there are some really good threads in XDA about how your battery could last longer.
3. Update service:
Our system (10.3.1.A.2.67) is now way better than it was when Sony launched it at first. The users that don't have changed anything in the System folder have received updates in an optimal frequency: I bought this mobile less than one year ago and have already received a dozen updates (including some patches in apps).
Congratulations, you have a good mobile.

Root, Greenify and TiBu the bloat - that's the biggest killer of any smartphone, regardless of manufacturer. Granted, Sony is better than most for not including a lot of crap, (I'm looking at you Samsung!), but if you're never going to use the program, why bother having it installed, cached and possibly in memory?
Root your device and TiBu uninstall the apps you don't want. I reduced my usage from 1GB of RAM at idle down to around 400mb mark.
I greenified almost all apps, and now I get roughly 10% drain over night with all features on, WiFi, NFC, Bluetooth and 4G, no Stamina Mode!
thanks to all of you for your answer but i'm using the leaked rom without root? =/... i'm thinking in use cyanogenmod how good or bad run this rom???

Improving battery longevity

I've had Lollipop since the intro and and at first it was fine then it started to be buggy. I decided to hard reset and the phone works better but what I miss was the stellar battery longevity. From an unplug at 7 am I'd have 45-50% by 7 pm, now that's gone. I have 13% by &pm. Keep in in mind that I have a retail version and turned off any app possible that I don't want to work ,plus used Debloater. Lastly I use Greenify .
Looking at the battery specs I see that the Exchange services are at the top . Plus I see that Nova launcher is high on therunning list. This is a new version and i wonder if it's a power eater?
Here's what's in the running list-
settings- 210mb
nova- 71mb
weather app- 24mb
ipec - 8.3mb
securitymanagerservice- 5.4mb
passpoint settings- 4.4mb
android- 5.4mb
Bluetooth- 9.7 mb, Bluetooth is off and used only when i need it but still shows in this list
google play- 52mb
contacts- 15mb
context service- 17mb
email- 43mb
exchange- 20mb
greenify- 8.8mb
samsung keyboard- 45mb, why does the keyboard have to show and it's not being used

Well, I'm not sure why you're using the data you've provided to try to explain battery usage. The data you've provided looks like the amount of RAM the app/file occupies. The amount of RAM an app or process uses is not indicative of the amount of battery that will be consumed when that app/process is running. A much better indication of what's going on with battery consumption is data that indicates what and how much battery is being used by an app or process...like screen on time or cpu time used by an app.
If I understand you rightI think you're talking about the settings /battery area-
if so
Exchange services are at 4%
Android system- 1%
Android OS- 1%
Email- 1%

Yeah, that area gives you a better idea of what is using the battery. If you really want to analyze what is using the battery resources in your phone you need to download and run an app that is designed to monitor your system and report what is using battery resources, how much and when. There are a number of apps in the Play Store that will do that. Many of them are free, but the better ones will cost you a dollar or two. But, if you're really interested in finding out what is "eating" your battery resources it may be well worth a dollar or two.
Here's list of the most common battery hogs: Facebook, live wallpaper, apps that sync data or other information every minute or two, screen on time-how often are you looking at the display and for how long, streaming video and music, gps, wifi, nfc and bluetooth turned on but not needed or in use, widgets open and running but not needed or used.

Facebook, I use a browser link not the app
no Live wallpaper
apps that sync data or other information every minute or two- sounds like the emails. There doesn't seem to be a tweak anywhere for that
no streaming or music
GPS is on but didn't seem to bother before the reset
Wifi - used on demand
NFC- don't use
Bluetooth-also used on demand but is still listed as running when off
The only widget i use is my weather app- I do like it though- Weather XL
Thanks
