Tried to test the first custom kernel from here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1102523
But I accidentally flashes it to SYSTEM and now I can't get into fastboot anymore to fix it, can anyone or am i just screwed.
edit 1 : tried my other fully charged battery and now it is going into fastboot and flashmode, I'm trying to repair it now
edit 2 : it works guys, no idea why, but the important thing is it worked !!!
Thanks in advance
THATS WHY U SHOULD ALWAYS CHARGE UR PHONE BATTERY TO 100% BEFORE CARRYING OUT ANY SUCH SYSTEM MODIFICATIONS!!!!
also
be sure that u are flashing to correct partition when using FASTBOOT..
any wrong thing and ur device WILL BE BRICKED
Yep know I know, I'm just glad I learned it like this and not the hard way.
My phone was around 30% when it was OK again and from what I can find it really should not be any lower than that.
And indeed from now only try thing like this with a fully charged phone and do more readind before I try anything
@DooMLoRD
I made a stupid mistake while updating my Xperia ARC S to ICS Beta. I flashed system.img to boot partition (arrgh, for the first time that has happened) and obviously the phone is not booting up now (hard bricked?). Any way of reviving it or it is gone?
Any help is greatly appreciated!!
If u can turn into fastboot mode u can flash everythong again. If no try like depulle87 with full charged battery and than try flash

So I am totally lost. Have exhausted all my knowledge on these issues, but i will take u guys through my process step by step.
Right now my problem is that i am unable to charge my one x in any way. it will only respond to being connected through my pc and obviously that wont charge very well. My phone will boot to the home screen but will go from being 35% charged to 0% and just reboot. what lead up to this was my installing android revolution 1.2.2 along with the interim clockwork mod. Upon reboot is where all the problems began. I accidently forgot to wipe before installing and now this is where im at. Cant boot into recovery. cant load default recovery because battery is too low. nothing except this impossible battery screw up is all i get. and now oncve i unplug my phone from pc, its shuts down after a few moments with no charge. Im at my wits end guys. anyone know what i can do?

I assume you were on 1.19 software? This happened to a friend yesterday. He ended up fastboot erase cache. Fast boot reboot bootloader. Get into recovery and plug up to ac power. The light comes on for a min. Or so then goes off. When it goes off unplugg it then plug it back in. Keep this up till you have some juice. Then fastboot flash the stock recovery relock bootloader, then get ruu 1.26.707. Run that ruu and it should boot. After that you can flash all the roms you want.

Thanks so much, I will try and let u guys know what is going on. FYI i dont see a fastboot erase cache on my screen so how would i go about doing that?
So i locked my oem back before i could boot stock revocery and stock ruu. anyone know how i would ebable to unlock my oem. ADB doesnt appear to re open it with the unlock command. i get a command error message. And yes the bin file from htc is in the fastboot folder. smh
I cant get a charge and the fastboot wont let me unlock oem or load a new recovery.... what now?
cmon guys, i spent 10 hours trying to fix this yesterday, im close to just chucking this thing into the garbage and going back to my nexus. someone please give a little help. i cant charge the phone so i cant load any stock RUU. fastboot is pretty much useless right now. nothing seems to do anything other than show a list of commands when i try to unlock oem again. im desperate so someone please help

I don't know what to tell you bro. If you locked the bootloader before putting stock recovery back on the phone. An ruu won't work anyway. Have you tried fastbooting a system.IMG and a boot.IMG. to see if it might boot? If you have your bin file from when you first unlocked. Try sending that again to unlock. Hopefully someone will pop in and give you a hand.

what commands should i use to try to get it back to normal? everything is saying my battery is too low, which really thats what is keeping me from doing anything to help the situation. I need to charge but none of the threads i have read with steps for charging have worked

Did you do a backup after brick?
I have a copy of the main files... (data.img, system.img and boot.img).
i Use this commands:
Examples
Manual Nandroid restore
Make a Nandroid backup, and copy the folder off your SD card to your desktop.
cd ~/Desktop/path/to/backup/
fastboot flash userdata data.img
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot reboot
MORE INFO HERE.
For the battery... try a charger with little more volts or amperes... you can buy some usb chargers on any electronic store.
thanks i will get on it and let u know what happens. Much appreciated! I did not do a backup after brick but before brick i did. I am using the transformer prime charger its a quad core tablet and it reads as having higher volts/amp than all my others.
your one x stills bricked?
No solution?
Hi
Dunno what went wrong, but my phone ran out of battery last night, and when I charged it, and turned it on, it resulted in a bootloop.
I then wiped and reflashed the ROM, but still boot looping, and now I can't get into recovery anymore.
I can get in to bootloader, and I have tried to start the RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_HTC_Europe_1.29.401.11_Radio_1.1204.105.14_release_260491_signed.exe in fastboot og HBOOT compability, but no luck (Check that your cable is connected).
Can't I get another ROM on, stock preferred, anyway?
my HBOOT version is 0.94.0000
I had installed AOKP ICS 4.0.4 custom ROM on the phone.
I'm no noob, but my knowledge isn't sufficient in this case
Thanks in advance
Lars

no, could that help? will try
I was just trying to flsah the new CWM beforehand, but it says batterylevel to low <30% , so I guess i wont get any luck out of flashing with fastboot right now
i'm booted into bootloader now, and charging, but I need to keep the screen alive, otherwise it will stop charging, guess it is going to be a long day.
will try flashing afterwards
EDIT: Bad news, it is not charging in bootloader, its only getting power to stay alive, not charging.
yes it cut

found this link in another thread... why didn't I look there in the 1st place
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1609190
fastboot erase cache did the job... tried all the other things at 1st of course, as i couldn't see how erasing my cache would solve a charging issue, but now you know. You can boot and charge after that. was almost on my way to buy a new phone :victory:
Guys, I tried to flash back to normal kernel and rom from cm10 with my xperia ion lt28h
I flashed the kernel with adb mode, but now I have a serious problem.
I am stuck on the sony screen and it doesn't go further than that..
I can't seem to enter fastboot mode.
Did I brick it?
What do I do now?
Help would be appreciated !

Doesn't work cause the screen is just black and it doesn't respond.
I guess I need to let battery die and then recharge and try flash kernel again ?
mah man...posting a question...which u labeled as a question manually (the [Q])... in da dev section.
brillant thinking
cuz you posted it here because u knew you may get an answer quicker....but sadly,
nobody was there to yell at u...like the other members that post questions in the dev section xD
anyway, there is a unbrick thread in the general section...very detailed at that

I'm sorry mate. I'm new here so didn't really know where to post it..
I found that thread. So normally it should work out when I follow those steps?
Just let my battery die, then charge it and flash kernel? Then let it die again, and charge it and flash the tft file ?
Is that correct ?
AW: [Q] Tried flashing back to stock rom and kernel. stuck on "sony" screen
If u want to go back to stock, just flash stock rom with flashtool. U dont need to flash Kernel and rom seperatly... Now its too late. Try to get in flashmode, maybe now or let the battery die first. Then flash stock 3.7 or 2.68 ftf.

Ok guys...
I charged the phone until it was orange. I then tried to flash it with the flashtool like it should be done.
However when i pressed vol down + plug in usb, my screen just turned on and showed the sony sign... So that didn't work
I then wanted to shut it down, but I waited to long and I accidentaly let it vibrate 3 times.
Now the phone is completely dead and it doesn't give any light when charging and I can't start it up...
What happened here?
UPDATE !
I could charge it until it was orange. I then tried several times to go into flashmode with flashtool.
I just kept on pressing voldown and it seems to have worked !
Phone is back to normal !

I did lots of stupid things one of them was flashing a custom rom made for ics since i still got gb it got my phone boot loop. Then i searched about this, a guy said that he could reach to his recovery mode by spamming the back key while the phone loops. When i tried amazingly it worked then i immedieatly wiped dalvik cache and battery stats(or smth). Then i head in to the place where you can mount and unmount things i formatted /data and the other things with /. Now i have found the ultimate solution: flash the stock rom. But i cannot reach to my recovery mode. I have installed CWM to my device (and also rooted) before everything happened i remember i activated usb debugging mode(won't be a problem).
NOW I KNOW YOU ARE KNOWING SOMETHING ABOUT THAT PHONE BUT I DON'T PLEASE CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT TO DO?
any help will be appreciated and btw sorry for bad english i hope you can understand what i am trying to say .

Actually I don't know what u mean
But if u want to use custom rom base on ics, u should power off ur phone(or pull the battery out and put it back) and flash stock ics firmware
And u will need to root ur phone again with a software called eroot
And install cwm again if u have a locked bootloader

GUYS I USED FLASHTOOL AND IT WORKED AND THANK ALL SO MUCH FOR REPLYING THIS THREAD xD:good:
Hi,
I have my xperia zl c6502, I just bought and when I connected to the internet it show that I have a new system update, I push to make the update, was for the new version 4.4. After I made a restart my phone was dead. Now when I press the power button it only vibrate once and nothing else. I saw that this is mean it's a soft brick. I tryed to flash another ftf file, but no result. Same with PCC, it work , say that it's ok but nothing happend after restart. I can connect in fastboot mode or flash mode. I think the BL is locked. I gues that the check for usb debbuging mode was not made in settings before the brick (I don't know if is matter or not this). The charging is not work. I opened the back cover and I measured the voltage on battery and is low now. I try to charge it with an external power source. What can I do to restore the phone. I see not sign on screen from than, like the display is dead, only the LED is get in red or blue (fastboot mode). Other interested thing is that I try to connect in flash mode the LED is get green for 1 sec after that is off but flash tool say that the device is connected in flash mode Not interested for data, was nothing inside because was new. It have not warranty.
Can somebody to help me?
Thanks.
I see nobody can help me.
OK.
I discover other thing. Each time when I want to flash a new ftf say all are ok until the end, but when I want to flash again and say the status for the ftf from device I see always is the same ftf version, not what I tryd to flash last time. To undestand better can have a look at a log file what I saved. I think that there is no flashing, I have the first ftf when the problem appeared. I unlocked the BL too but no change, only in the status I can see that the BL is unlocked (say ROOTED).
Realy nobody can have an ideea what to do next?
Hi, i have E X A C T L Y the same problem, i dont know what to do. Ive been searching similiar problems in XDA and i think i found something, maybe the TA (Trim Area) is damaged and it causes the phone doesnt boot. For more information visit this post:
