What can we expect for the microsoft app store?

I really hope developers who design apps for the iphone and android will also make stuff for our app store. I've seen many great things from the android market( while many are in my opinion useless ). For example, the emualtor they have for android and iphone run very smooth with sound and all. especially the android ones! Yes we have morphgear and a bunch of others that run smooth...as long as you keep the sound off. Most of the emulators out for winmo havent been updated in who knows how many years! Whats the point if you're playing an rpg game like chrono trigger for example if you have no sound. What apps are you guys hoping to see on the microsoft app store?
Actually similar to what you're saying...
Multimedia, games...
I downloaded a couple of demos today from Microsofts Windows Mobile page...Wow they looked like 8bit Master System graphics...
Not cool...
Honestly thats all we PPC users lack IMO.

A Crazy Idea - Steering Wheel For PC?

HAving played a few tilt sensitive games on my Desire I had an idea - By any chance is there an App of some sorts that allows it to be used as a steering wheel on the pc ?
Personally would be an awesome idea \o/
There is one somewhere but I have no idea what it's called or weather it ever made production/out of beta.
With vibration as some kind of primitive force feedback too!

[REQ] The Best app for COMICS ???

Best Android apps for personal comics...format CBR CBZ ecc.
thanks......
p.s. galaxy tab 10.1 is a perfect reader...
I use perfect viewer. works really well with cbr and cbz. fully customisable touch screen functions and a full bookshelf view of your comics.
I use ACV(Droid Comic Viewer) by Robot Comics. It's a lot more simplistic than other viewers, but works perfectly for me.

Click to collapse
Same here.
You want the best FREE comics app or the best PAID?
If you don't mind coughing up some dough, Comic Reader Mobi is awesome. The interface is a bit quirky but it has a really nice page flip effect and loads comics fast without any issues these days.
If you're cheapstake, try Comica Lite. It has a pretty nice interface too and loads comics fairly quickly, but page transitions don't look as nice as Comic Reader Mobi and pages don't seem to load quite as fast.
jjComics Viewer is also a quite nice free viewer too. Less polished than Comica Lite imo though.
I have all 3 on my Galaxy Tab.
Comixology in the market is good for viewing comics. Although it doesn't allow you to read your own comics, it does have a big selection of FREE comics
I've tried ACV, Comica Lite, Comixology and jjComics. I recommend Perfect Viewer over all of them - I deleted the rest.
Comic Reader Mobi looks good too, I will check it out when I get an Android tablet.
Have extensively tested all the comic readers, but my preference goes to the one that really stands out for style, speed and control has to be comica, not the free version as you get annoying ads coming up at the bottom, but for the price cheaper then pint of Ruddles Best bitter you cant go wrong...
For a phone Mobi is da best. The zoom lens makes reading on phones quite an enjoyable experience(regardless of the SGS2's amazing screen), though it has a small problem focusing on dark bubbles, works, but just zooms the whole square. On a tablet however I think any reader will do, as the bubble zoomer(or whatever it's called) is not necessary.
Even though I have a couple shelves full of books(my wife's...) I just started reading em now that I can get em on my phone.Sandman series is highly recommended.

[Q] Emulation front ends

So I love the simplicity of the Emulation Station front end on my rasp pi.
Kind of surprised no one has worked up anything similar for android.
Are the best options still just rom collection browser in XBMC and just retro arch?
I find both to be rather clunky in comparison.
Are there other projects out there to try?
Try out the Gamesome Frontend which is on the Play Store.
I would dig a HyperSpin style app for FireTV. That would be AMAZING.

Ideas for Air Gestures?

Hi Guys! Dev here, got some ideas for air gestures to integrate with different Apps, was just wondering if community has got some really cool compelling idea to implement.
I was thinking that it could be used for AR APPS as a panning tool, I study anatomy and I'm hoping apps like 3D4Medical will take advantage of the gyro sensors found in the S pen of Note 10
Great question. What's the current usage scenarios?
Tennis game
Mouse pointer in Dex Mode.
a music app where moving it up changes the pitch, then we can all have unique sounds for our signatures!
Zoom in out or in browser (like in camera app)
Might be hard but an overlay that emulates touches on apps like chrome or instagram etc.
When I was talking to my daughter about air gestures she geeked out that it could be like using a wand in Harry Potter. She said you could use the gestures in the game Harry Potter: Wizards Unite for the various functions? The ones she used as examples were "Lumos" which would turn on the flashlight, "Avada Kedavra" to turn off the phone or "Alohomora" to unlock it. Anyway, she was incredibly excited about the possibility of something like these working with the S-Pen. I have to imagine others would go nuts for it as well. As to what gestures to associate with them I don't know but this may help https://www.ign.com/wikis/harry-potter-wizards-unite/Spell_List
Other than that, think of common tasks that are in a variety of apps (copy, paste, open, close, play, pause, skip) and create gestures for those to start with. They will by far be the most used and useful.
Using air gestures on Instagram might be a cool feature to have.
Air Gesture was invented for Tinder.
air gestures has been there for a long time. gear vr controller is one of them.
