Live disc = bootable cd / pen drive with linux on it, that could run virtually anywhere.
Hemidall = http://www.glassechidna.com.au/products/heimdall/

Check out Ubuntu's download page, or any similar linux distro. There should be a Live CD/Flash Drive section, and it should provide info/steps to walk you through use on a Mac.
There are also windows livediscs.. but linux + heimdall > windows + heimdall or odin

Ill try that guys thanks.

Yes. I just rooted my S3 (i747M) using CF-Autoroot (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1963790) and ODIN from VMWare Fusion 5.0.2 running a VM with XP-SP2.

EDIT: you can't download from a phone, has to be via PC....

I have torolplus.
Do you even have a Linux partition. Do you even know what Linux is? Do you know how to decompile a boot.img? Do you know what a boot.img is? You're way over your head here bud. Suck it up and stop asking or buy a GS3 like you should have from the beginning.

Have Windows Media rip the disk to mp3 (or similar). Put the mp3 files on your sd card.
If you own the disks you have the right to fair use of the contents as long as you don't distribute the files.
Hastily spouted for your befuddlement

I tried motochopper method and it fails and have been trying the heimdall method but am having problems installing libusb. Macs are easily accessible to me but since my pc crapped out on me I don't have easy access to a pc that I can download stuff on, anyone with Mac experience rooting able to help? I've already read the threads on it and can't figure it out and they are old and doesn't seem like support is there anymore. Thanks

If you use an XP disc, it shouldn't be very big. Create a dynamic virtual disk and then delete it when you're done.
