So about an hour ago, I pulled my phone out of my pocket and the screen said "car dock mode enabled press --------------"
And I got about that far before it went off. Now I assume it said press so and so button to exit, but I've been screwing around for an hour now and can't get it out.
My phone is now locked into landscape and runs like ****.
Super slow and laggy and has had a few fcs.
Any one know how to turn it off?

Not sure on that app but a quick fix is just to pull the battery and reboot.

Do you have the car dock app installed?
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA Premium App
Nope, no car dock app is installed.
Not sure what happened, but it took 3 battery pulls to get back right. Felt like I was using a blackberry again.
I was reading and apparently car dock mode can be activated by crossing two pins on a charge cable with a 619k resistor.
I've been having problems with my charge port lately and wonder if that's part of the problem.

Launch the car mode app and hit exit car mode. Its one of the big buttons. It should not be starting itself automatically... what rom are you using?
I know but i deleted that apk and it still showing off on status bar and when i click on it i get to home screen because of missing apk. But i got it, settings/locations and untick first option....i think that was a problem.

Check your USB port. It could just be dirt shorting the contacts.

What does that have to do with anything?

The usb port is very sensitive to voltage change. And a piece of dirt can trigger the car mode because it thinks the car charger is plugged in.

Okay so I left my phone over night and I didn't touch it with a 75% charge. I wake up an it's 74% which I find normal. But what I found weird is whenever I connect it to the charger or USB, this screen come up for no reason. And the LED light stays on. Do anynof you know how to solve this issue?
Picture taken on stock EL29.
Edit: LED Still stays on after I remove it from the wall outlet.

That's the dock screen. Do you have it plugged up to a dock?

Maybe your charging port is a bit dirty. When its dirty it sometimes tricks the phone into showing the dock screen when you plug in a charger. Maybe you just have to clean it.

Any tips on how to? Without having the chance to ruin the charging port?

I just use a keyboard cleaner just to blow out any dust that's in the port. That's about it.

same thing happened to me, use a q tip to clean out the inside of the headphone jack, if that doesnt work wait a few days and it should go back to normal, thats what it did for me

Check where the usb cable plugs in. Mine was doing the same thing and I realized the middle portion of the usb connector on my phone was touching the bottom. It thought it was charging/over voltage when it really wasn't plugged in. I just used a little screwdriver to bend in back to the middle.

Do you have another charger to try ? My friend fixed his "high voltage" issue replacing charger.
I waited until the battery died to plug it with another charger and I think the USB connection was almost or maybe it was touching the low part(the hole where the cable is plugged).Lets see what happen next! Thanks for you advice!

I've started noticing when I'm plugged into an outlet and using my fingers, the touchscreen gets really nasty with me. Pressing buttons I haven't touched, no response except from s pen in landscape mode... Anyone else noticed this issue? It only ever happens when it's plugged in. My Atrix used to do this too.
Edit: noticed it started doing this vertical not plugged in. What's going on?

I'm gonna try and do that tomorrow. It's just under the 15 day thing at Best Buy.
