[Q] some questions about official gingerbread

hi i installed official gingerbread(modded by Alex with data2ext) rom yesterday... haven't had much time using it yet to see all the changes... t first sight, nothing really spectacular, i am a bit deceived tbh.. waiting for so long for this... first thing i checked was camcorder; results 720p still sucks: it lags and i have a class 10 kingston card... then tried 480p... lags also (audio and video out of sync....).... so camcorder was not fixed.. anyway, here are some questions about the official gingerbread:
- is bluetooth fixed? (can i use a wiimote e.g.?)
- is the call delay issue found in all gingerbread roms patched by htc?
- 7 digits call id fixed? (does not seem so at first sight)
i am getting a bit bored with htc sense tbh, thought they would put latest sense on it... guess i will soon go back to custom sense 2.1/3.0 roms

do u know how can root the official gengerbread i also upgrad to the 2.3.3 and want to root it to instal recovery and use my backup

Please people, READ and use SEARCH.
There are million threads already, that the official 2.3 upgrade
CAN NOT be rooted yet after you installed on your phone due to HBOOT change.

Maybe he used snq- kernel, try different ROM which is using htc kernel.

i didn't not used official gingerbread update.. i installed a custom one instead (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=745919)

Actually there are people saying it is possible, but majority says it is not.
You'll get a version newer/older error.

Yeah, it's better to wait some days, until Alphev/Unrevoked teams upgrade their tools...

[Q]Anyway for use Cyanogen Setting into stock rom or custom rom stock base?

Hellow.
You see, I love Cyanogenmod roms because of it special settings, and I want use it setting into a stock rom or into a custom rom with stock base.
Reason for not ussing Cyanogenmod? Because I´ve got problems with it once I install many programs using S2E for sd-ext (and I can´t use A2sd or link 2 Sd in official CyanogenMod Rom, also, I don´t like the mods of it, I preffer ussing stock roms untill there´s the final version of Official Cyanogenmod rom).
If possible I want to know if I can use the option remove one at one notifications in stock roms.

I mean the things that can only be use with the Cyanogenmod roms.

There is a reason that they can only be used in Cyanogen, because they've been made by Cyanogen for Cyanogen. So, unless you're using Cyanogen, no Cyanogen settings for you.

[Q] Blackberry 10 Lockscreen ?

Hi guys, I've seen that there is a Blackberry 10 lockscreen mod for JB, but I'm not sure if it can run on HTC Desire and on which ROM ..
I'm using PARANOIDANDROID v3.00+ now, is it possible to use this mod on this rom ? on another HTC Desire ROM ?

Where did you see it? If it's for another phone, then it probably has to be ported, not just simply flashed.

Accelerometer and Gyro Problem

Hi there,,,
Seems no matter what I do I can not get the gyro or acceleromter to respond on my phone, I have been through settings, and also calibiration and yes, I have made sure it is switched on,,,,
Does anyone have any suggestions ???

I have encountered your issue last march and a simple reboot done the job.. or try to shutdown your phone and wait for 10 seconds before you boot your phone.

No i think it will be allright after the new update becuase this sensor have some driver issue or sometimes hang.
I think it will be okay.

Thanks for the reply,, I have flashed a new rom tonight and still the same problem, do you know if the drivers are available seperate to install ???

I dont think so .
If u find the drivers u cant do anything becuase all 4.1.x roma have this issue.
Just u ahould w8 for the 4.3 update.

[Q] touch problems !

guys something is weird is happening to my phone
some places of the screen just wont touch :\
the area of " e,s,x " on a keyboard just wont respond..even the left shortcut on AOSP lock screen
im on taktiK 4.4.2 R1

is that the same problem while you try other rom or not..?
if nothing problem with other rom..then it can be sure..that's the problem come from the tiktaK rom it self..maybe you can try ask on the rom thread it self..

im not sure what's causing this
but i resotred an old Sense5 rom and with the same problem
but in recovery everything is perfect
could it be a kernel related ?

yes..i think it could be the kernel related..because all the drivers including touch and display driver is under the kernel it self..
if that problem is come from your hw..then you will find the same problem in recovery too..but you say is under recovery is fine..nothing problem like that..
so..i'm sure that's problem come from the rom or the kernel from the rom itself..and not your phone hw related..

yah now im more convinced that's not a HW problem..when i change the Rotation the position of the dead area changes too
now im gonna try SVHD with T16.1 kernel
hoping for a fix

flash stock rom and check if everything works as it should. if it does, its is software. if it doesnt, its hardware.
i have pretty much the same problem as you. i just flashed a ruu and the wierd behaviour is still there, in my case, a strip about 1,3 cm wide doesnt work. im figuring out what to do next

any other similar app would do, also something you can draw with will do the same
if anyone has an idea how to tackle this at home, you are most welcome, since my warranty is 2 months passed :/
i think it may be a problem with contacts only, because the screen is not damaged and the rest works fine. but i really dont know enough to be certain

Same problem here, But when I reboot the problem goes away.

I think its a bug in the Rom/Kernel.

Amtel Touchscreen Drivers Are missing ...i had the same problem after i flashed The Imaginable R2 but it was fixed after flashing the additional zip that was linked in the thread of that rom ...

did you try ViperDHD[Although its discontinued]? or Miui 3.11? or try something that is not android [like firefox OS just to test if touch screen works after rom has booted].....if its software fault then it can be fixed for sure ... you just have to wait .

Sense 5 ROMs, taktiK, and the kernel you mentioned are all ION kernel. Maybe flash SVHD or ViperDHD without the addition of the ION kernel and see if you still have the same problem. I haven't experienced this but I have an Inspire4G which uses different touch screen drivers than your DHD.

im on SVHD 1.7.5
no changes are made by me..still the same
i tried the keyboard in Turbo Boost in recovery..the same

so maybe 90% it can be from hw problem..just guess it..maybe it come from the digitizer of the screen that's already broken..
hope you will find away to fixed that soon...
