I'm pretty sure that you need "voice" for your market to work properly...other than that, that list seemed fine

Fb and gmail not working in LPP widgets

Help
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA Premium App
Gmail stopped working a while ago due to change made in Gmail v2.3.5. I always kept a backup of an older version but now they've blocked that from sending/receiving mail so you have to update and lose the functionality.
Facebook still works for me though. Try clearing the cache and re-authenticating through the launcher pro settings. There's a special forum for LauncherPro, you;re better off asking there rather than the SGS apps forum.
I've been using Android Pro Widgets instead lately, give that a try!
Thanks danny. I followed your advice.

there's a workaround for gmail, it is not very easy to do though.
http://koxx3.wordpress.com/create-y...-allowing-content-sharing-with-external-apps/
uninstall lpp, unistall gmail, install modded apk, reinstall lpp and you're done.
Cool - there must be a pre-modded Gmail apk somewhere out there, no way I'm gonna go through all those steps...
EDIT: Found one here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1199518
EDIT AGAIN: Turns out the modded apk will allow other apps to read your emails, safer way is to sign both the Gmail app and LauncherPro APKs with APK Manager and reinstall them both - works fine for me!

Download the yahoo app. Also go into settings>applications>manage applications>all scroll down to gmail, click it and hit clear data. Hopefully that will clear out anything bad in the data and restart the app.
I wentin there and it read a lot of 0's and the only option it would let me pick was uninstall last update so I tried that so we will c lol
I'm using a blacked out version (older) of Gmail and have had no problems to date- used with many Roms, 3 different modems. If you still have issues, be rid of whatever version you have and start skimming the app forum...good luck!

If you know which you can delete that are not needed by the system or other apps that you use then go ahead and delete. Otherwise, freeze them until you know you do not need them.

What I did which was recommended on this site was purchase absolute system. With that program I back up my apps before deleting them. Il give ya a list but I plan to delete more, just want to run with what ive deleted so far for a few days to make sure theres no issues. So far I have zero issues and love my phone even more now. So far what ive deleted is....

New Google Hangouts app and GS4

I can't get the new hangouts app installed in my galaxy s4. It says it is already installed, but when I press open, it opens the old talk app. Any thoughts?
We need the new Google play services for it to work.

If u already have google music installed on your phone just go to play market and update the app. The new hangout apk is above with all the other apks if needed!!
I had to install hangouts from my pc

The new hangout sucks!!! Big time!
I need to know the online status of my friend before I send them a message, I do not want to message ppl while they are in the middle of something.
Also, after install Hangout, Google Play Services seem to be a HUGE battery drain!!!

There is a green under their photo that tells you they are online. Also their photos are bolder than people who are offline.

No, there isn't. Not in the Android app at least. The green underline is visible only in the browser version.
To me Hangout is a HUGE step back compared from Talk.
I can't get no notifications at all...

Hey
As someone else mentioned, which is the method i used as well, use your Desktop and go to the google play store, find hangouts and it will let you install, choose your S4 from the devices list, and bam, force-update over Gtalk. You're welcome.
P.S. I suggest you install from the Play Store. Also, notifications work entirely fine for me.
Does anybody know how to delete pictures stored on the gallery from when u send a pic in hangouts it automatically saves them, kinda of annoying. Thanks
Sent from my SGH-M919 using xda app-developers app
The method I used is if you're rooted just uninstall Google Talk w/ Titanium Backup, go into the Play Store and download/install Hangouts.
Just an alternative method from what's been stated.

Some are installable without root, play around and see which, they get installed as an update.
But for the messaging app, you do not need root

It works like any messaging apk. You can set it as your default, but it does not delete or override anything without your permission
Google just pushed Google play music on the play store

If they dont install normally then yes . the system/priv-app folder requires root to write to it

Yes these apps all work and they are awesome . There is already a thread here with this stuff in it though gmail 5.0 is the title. I guess we can have 2 threads LOL
Don't like the wasted space. Samsungs is much nicer plus the swipe and motion functions. The archive option is great though.
How do you feel about the random colors assigned to each thread? Lol nice touch, but it would be nice to assign a color to a contact. We shall see!
