So I have a pioneer sound system in my car. Bonzai and stock both would connect to the phone and the music portion of the stereo allowing me to use it as a headset and stream music. Now since i put on srf 1.1.1 it will not pair. Any suggestions?

You can try deleting your bluetooth data and rediscovering it. Doesn't always work. Or you can try another kernel on top to see if that makes it connect.
To delete all bluetooth data with root explorer go to data\misc\bluetoothhd and delete the mac address file there. Reboot. Now go to bluetooth and change the name of your device to anything you want. Then reboot again. Now rediscover your device and re-pair. Hope it works. Most BTs work great with Genocide.
I will try that. Thanks for the info and the thorough guide to doing so.

I'm trying to find an app or a way to browse the music that is stored on my phone and then stream it to my htpc (Windows 7) and then play it on my surround.
I have figure out how to browse the music the htpc has on the phone with xbmc remote and gmote but that's not what i want. Bluetooth or Wifi should both be fine.
Also if i would like to stream pictures and videos too, it would be a bonus but not really important right now.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
You should be able to pair your phone with the htpc via Bluetooth at which point it should be available as an audio input device. This shouldn't require any third party drivers or anything, have you tried this yet?

hmmm ok, this is not what i'm looking for.
So here is the lay out:
1. Music on the phone
2. Phone connects to PC, preferably with WiFi but i will take BT if need be
3. PC is connected to Sound System
4. Phone streams music on the pc, sound comes out on the sound system connected on the PC
5. Selection of songs happens on the phone, next, forward, pause etc
6. Monitor on the pc is off the whole time
I also have a PS3 ... so instead of PC it could be that.
That's what's going on with my set up, all it does is play everything your phone speaker would through your computer speakers... right?
Sent from my Incredible using XDA App
My way, it automatically connects to my phone without asking.
I play whatever music I want on my phone and my computer plays the sound
You can try and find third part software but for WiFi they only function as remotes

I had no problems bluetooth pairing with my Audi A4 car kit.
Just searched for car bluetooth device from my HTC Desire, then connected. Was asked for PIN Number, just entered 0000, same with my car. Finished!
Have a more stable connection than with an earlier LeeDroid Version.
In MX Player I also selected software driver (fast).
While trying to use hardware acceleration. had only black screen.
try to install the decoder package aswell. on market too

Has anyone figured out a way to get their Samsung galaxy s3 working with a car stereos' USB? ( I have a jvc)
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda premium
With your USB connection, it doesn't automatically connect? Does your stereo have Bluetooth? I use Bluetooth with my car and it works great. Give that a try if you have that capability. But with USB it should work, not sure why yours wouldn't. Rom/kernel? Maybe some more info on your phone specs...

maybe you have tried this
Have you tried settings--accessory? Make sure all of those settings are correct if you already haven't.
I've tried this before and it generally isn't something that works.
The receiver cannot determine what is music and what is not. So it ends up playing everything from music to ringtones to navigational directions. Basically any compatible format file on your external storage.
Receivers and phones are not set up to work together like this.

What about using a third party media player such as MX player? Just brainstorming...
I'm sorry if this is somewhere else but I can't find it.
My S4 used to autofeed Bluetooth meta data to my car audio unit. I think it came with an Android update to 4.4.3.
My G3 came with 4.4.2 and the meta data isn't getting passed.
I can't post the link because I'm a noob, but the app called AutoAudio does it by reading the Now Playing notifications and passing them through to the car audio, but it is cumbersome and must be left running or manually switched on each time music is played.
I could run Tasker or do something NFC tags but I just want it to work and I know it does with a later version of Android.
I would love to know what file allows for this and the edit to make to the file to just make it work.
Thanks in advance for your help.

I have the same problem but it's only with Spotify. In doing some research Spotify does not have a good track record with this and considering all other music apps I have used do push the metadata I have to believe it's Spotify.
Slacker doesn't work either. Neither does my audiobook app. These work on my s3 though... Granted that's running 4.4.4
Sent from my LG-D850 using Tapatalk 2
It's definitely a Spotify issue as that's the only music app I use. On my S4 this was fixed with a firmware upgrade. Is the T&T S4 on 4.4.4 or 4.4.3? Whatever it is, the G3 is on 4.4.2 and the data doesn't pass through as it did on my S4.
Again, the autoaudio app DOES work for this, but it's a pain to have to manually start it on a reboot. I would love to just edit the appropriate files and generate a permanent fix if someone could point me in the right direction.
I ended up using Tasker to automate connecting my G3 to my car stereo via BT, start the Spotify app, start autoaudio app. Seemed to work this morning. Not as clean as I wanted, but as the saying goes, it meets the requirement.
Meta data works on a 2013 Accord but throws in some random numbers before song titles.
I have this problem too. Metadata is pushed from the stock music app as well as other .mp3 apps. However Slacker does not push the metadata. Any other ideas out there? I have a 2014 Volvo S60.
Seriously, anybody?
I prefer watching things with headphones rather than using tv speakers so I can watch what I want when I want without disturbing anyone and I'd rather not have to get one of those rf headphones just for this. ..can't anyway my LG tv doesn't have headhone jack ..I was able to set up bluetooth on Aftv box ..has 4.0 useing the settings apk..
Do we need a settings.apk thats 3.0 BT compatible?..When I tried with settings.apk on fire tv stick I could manually connect but thats all ,no sound to headphones.

I tried it awhile back with aftv and couldn't connect with my BT speaker or headphone. Not sure why it's an issue because it supports some 3rd part BT game pads. Hopefully you find a solution or maybe it's already been answered??? I kind of moved on but this is a nice feature and aftv should support it. You could try Amazon tech support.
Just wondering if there are any new success story for listening to FireTV Stick audio on their Bluetooth headphones.

This topic comes up often and the consensus is you can get it to work, but it's more trouble than it's worth because the audio is out of sync with the video. Even if you add a delay (for example, via Kodi's options) and get things synced, they eventually go out of sync again because the amount they're out of sync is not constant.
I haven't tried this myself. This is just information that I've read from other people's experience.
I got my BT speakers working with the settings.apk but alas it was out of sync.

I believe this is the case with the aftv. I believe with the aftv stick you are unable to even get that much (no audio at all). At least that had been my experience.

Was this with FireOS 5?
Does FireOS 5 offer an option to pair bluetooth headphones, as FireOS 4 does not, and people have to use "hacks".
The firmware version on my AFS is 54.123
I paired the headphones using the setting hack and from the main settings menu. Both times, I got a message saying that audio should be working and that might headphones are connected. however, no audio gets played.
Problem might be my bluetooth headphones-the brand is Maze Exclusive. it might be sending "phone audio" but not "music" audio. i get a message like that on my cell phone when pairing this headphone to it on occasion and can;t hear audio from music.
