Warning
Whatever you do, don't download rom manager to install clockworkmod. Use the recoveries here on XDA or else your device will never boot again. I learned it the hard way

Can anyone help me out how i can install this rom ? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1797316 to get it fully working on my phone with all things
First of all.
Is your phone rooted, and do you have CWM recovery installed on your phone?
At the moment it isn't rooted and CWM.
root, install CWM, install rom

Hi guys.. My handphone is galaxy w.. I try to root it via recovery, superoneclick, doomlord, and unlock root. Those apps say that my galaxy w is already rooted, but when I installed the root checker it says my galaxy w isn't rooted.
Btw, when I update the superuser in gaining root access, it says fail.. Always fail.
I'm getting frustrate with this condition.
Please help me
Thank you in advance
Have u found the answer? If not, just follow this link, should be solved your problem..

I already use that method.. Buat my handphone still not rooted.. I can't get root access in superuser.. What should I do?
I said follow that thread, it means read it one by one the post in there, not just read the OP though...
Ok, just download the update.zip from the 5th post on that thread, and put that zip on your phone internal sdcard. Then install the zip file from the recovery, thats all.

if u have stock recovery then just use the update.zip at the main root thread in our forums
if u have CWM recovery then use this link (i actually prefer it) [ROOT/UNROOT][Using CWM][For All ROMs]
press thanks if i help you
Please help, the guide I posted didn't work.
I booted into fastboot and erased everything.
Now it doesn't even turn on.
Ps. plz move this to the right section
Use flashtools and reflash a stock rom.
If you can delete every thing from fastboot, I guess you used CWM. To make it boot again:
1. If you already backup rom before, just restore it from CWM. If not, follows next step.
2. Download rom (stock, cm...).
3. Reboot into cwm and flash it.

If u can go to cwm
U can just download any stock rom or modded rom and reflash them
or u can download flashtool and flash original ftf from there
Flashing original .ftf will be good...
Fixed it thanx

Can anyone direct me into the thread that shows step by step how to add a custom recovery , root and install a custom rom on the stock Android 4.4.2 rom..I haven't installed roms on xda in a while ...so im kinda out of the loop and confused on what I need to do ..thanks
Odin your preferred recovery, reboot to recovery, wipe, and flash your custom ROM.. That's it.. And you can make a nandroid before if you choose to as well.. Your thread says rooting but you talk about installing a custom ROM, for rooting I was gonna suggest cf-auto root or saferoot, but its not needed

after rooting, what is a good recovery to install and good rom that gives good battery life to install? Thanks.
I'm using clockworkmod for a custom recovery, and Insane Kitkat as my rom. Battery life is very good.
