Anyone having issues with Optimized Gingersense Beta 3 and Google Apps? I wiped my dinc prior to installing the B2 or B3. It installed and booted but no apps such as mail, gmail or market.
Beta 2 had a few apps missing...its a large file maybe re-download and see if that fixes...make sure you are on CWM3.0.x
Beta3 is the latest but people are having problems with gps.
thanks
will try that
No Luck
No Mail, Gmail nor Market apps.
Wiped, reinstalled, redownloaded, reinstalled...
Still no luck.
It's all good now. Found out the issue was me wiping the phone after the flashing.
Network data
I am having trouble with google maps not working. Is there a solution yet? Also, my mobile network will stop working. When I check the status it says "turning on". I cant perform any data functions until I re-boot. Any ideas?

I couple of days ago I installed the official RRU for Gingerbread but found it had too many issues with Wifi so I temp rooted it and downgraded it back to stock 2.2.
However I have been having serious issues with downloading apps off the Market since then. Whenever I try to do this I just get a 'Download was unsuccessful. Please try again' error message. I have tried to wipe the market, market updater and download manager cache but this does not fix the issue. I've also tried factory resets and that hasn't solved the issue either. The issue occurs on both Wifi and 3G. Strangely I can still install apps using the Market website (http://market.android.com).
I thought it may be an issue with the phone but after a factory reset I signed up to a new Google Account and I can download apps fine with that. However, I need to use my main Google Account as it has all of my contacts and app purchases on there.
Any help with sorting this out would be greatfully appreciated as it's becoming really frustrating for me.
I am having this exact same issue. I cannot download any apps from the market.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have a problem on my DHD that started out of nowhere yesterday. I have Virtous Unity ROM installed.
Problem is, I cannot open Market (No connection, retry) or Google Maps (just showing grey area and not loading map). I even need to manually adjust my clock because it wont update through web. Doesn+t matter if I am on wifi or 3G.
I tried reinstalling google apps, restarting phone few times but nothing.
Also, tried searching forum but with no success.
Anyone have same problem or know how to fix it?
Thx!
Apparently, I cannot connect to any app on my phone that requires internet. Just tried Twitter and Facebook and getting errors.
You could try reflashing the rom

Tried without wipe but it didn't help. Is there any other way or I would need to wipe all and then reflash everything.
Id just wipe it and reflash it all.
But do a backup of all your apps/data first with titanium.
OK i have a strange issue with market 3.4.4 for which i can't localize the cause.
The effect is that "market stops working" when clicking an application to open the details page...searching for apps works ok.
If i uninstall updates (settings - apps), it reverts to 3.3.12 which works fine. Eventually it updates itself back to 3.4.4 and same issues occur.
I have this effect on both AOKP b21 and ARHD 2.1.4, as soon as i install ANY kind of themed apps (nitroz's or TP's rootzwiki individual mods).
I have a fresh install (wipe, superwipe, manual wipe, the hell with it, clear dalvik, cache, everything) of ARHD 2.1.4...installed hoolm's circle battery mod and ****ed up the market eventually. I previously tried Nitroz's v3.6 on both ARHD and AOKP and the same problem occurs.
What the hell is going on?
What's the chance that 3 different devs make the same mistake and mess up framework or something?!
Have you tried deleting Market 3.4.4 cache and data after the update?
Have you deleted any system apps? I noticed that if I remove NFC, Market crashes.
I've been having a problem with 3.4.4 also. The market works but my video tab in the main page disappears. Plus a couple of apps also say that they're not compatible with my phone. Like hexsyn, Facebook, friencaster...I've reverted back to older versions and cleared data and cache. Nothing works

i actually wanted to install ROMManager to backup my stuff damn....guess CWM is the way but no need to backup now since market is f0cked ...

did all possible permutations, believe me
i'm not usually posting at the first sign of issues....problem is now i want to install aLogCat to check the logs but i can't get it from the market, damn
Damn!!! NFC is the root of all problems...
i manually copied it over from the ROM package to /system/app, rebooted and now market works fine....
THanks @jhericurls!
Hello,
I've been using Flinnys CM 10.1 builds for some time now, but decided to go back to gingerbread for battery life and overall bugless experience.
But as soon as i flashed i noticed some errors related to Google Play Services. Google+ and Hangouts display an error saying, that Google Play Services is needed, YouTube just shows an error, and Cerberus suggest to install google play services for better tracking. Google Play Services is not shown in Google Play but can be installed trough web page (it shows "Application is Compatible with your HTC Desire Z"). After installing all of mentioned errors persist, apps still can't detect google play services. I tried clearing applications and Play Services settings, superwiping and reflashing, installing varius verions of Services and Store via .apk, but nothing helped.
Those problems reproduce on both MIUI 2.3.23 and CM 7.2 (latest nightly).
Has anyone else experienced similar problems, have you managed to solved them?
Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.
Sounds like you didn't wipe all before flashing your new ROM, or restored from jellybean to gingerbread. Either way you need to do a full wipe and not restore

Thanks, for your replay.
I wiped all partitions including sd-card, installed clear miui.us, and this time it worked.
But the only things I previosuly restored from JeallyBean were sms/mms and call log, can that break anything or is it something on sdcard?
Without being there I couldn't tell you for sure, restoring messages and call logs is safe, there must have been some residue left over from jelly bean previously

I started to suspect MIUI Polish patch (haven't mentioned it, didn't I?), so I did a full wipe, formatted sd card, backing up only pics, music, sms, etc., and installed clear miui. Installed G+, installed play services, updated everything etc. After that I installed the patch. Everything seems to work for now. But still I have no idea, what broke CM7.
Anyway, thanks again for Your help.
I tried almost everything. Cleared Google Playstore cache, data and Google services framework Data, cache and download manager cache ..hard reset my phone. But still same issue. Tried adding my Google account again and removing. Switched on vpn and tried without VPN but nothing works.
I'm able to download apps on mobile network but with wifi running I get this error 489.
Using everything stock and its an international version.

anyone ?
You're not supposed to clear the data for Google services framework. I would recommend a factory reset at this point.
I'm getting the same issue on mine. I've done everything you've done except for the reset. It's sort of random, on mine, which apps will download and which ones won't. I can still download/update some apps, but not others.
