I'm having an issue with Mine as well. It keeps telling me that the theme is missing assets for my device's screen size. I'm not sure why.....
HTC Evo
CM7.0.3.1
I was having similar issues, until I read on the site that clockwork recovery is the default. Try that recovery when flashing.

Did that fix it? I've been trying to change the battery indicator 5 different times now, and have had compiling errors. I've tried ClockworkMod and Ra. Ugh...

First I was wondering if I can flash bonsai right away or if I need the new clockwork 3.x with ext4?

Pretty sure Bonsai scans your phone and formats it for EXT4 if it isn't already. It backs up your data and restores it, too. Just do a complete backup then flash it. If it is a no go, just restore.

Anyone using Sprint Navigator? Please check how many satellites it finds under Share & More/Diagnostics. I have 2 epics, 1 on Bonsai and 1 with just stock and Genocide, and both report 1 satellite and 10% GPS. GPSTest reports 9 Satellites and Google Nav works fine (hate the voice and graphics).
Thanks.

I tried installing the removed apps, and when running from "Install from SD Card" it says it is aborted and not installed. Any secret I am missing out on?

Live Wallpaper
I installed the missing live wallpaper files to the system/app folder on the phone but I cant get them to show up. I read something about changing the permission of the files, but have no idea how to do it.
Help!
Love the Rom so far!

Finally found it. Used Ghost Commander to change the permissions. Live Wallpaper is back but some seem to be missing from the stock selection that came with the phone. No worries.
Okay I finally pulled everything off and now have bonsai4all on my phone but for some reason I can't connect to wifi any more? It does come up, and I did save the ip address, but now, for some odd reason, it won't connect to it... help?

Ok so I read in another forum that I could rename the HTC lock screen apk, not delete incase of problems glad I listened. Well it worked great I had the stock lock screen which is what I wanted. The problem came the next morning when my alarm went off. I was unable to turn it off. Does anyone have any suggestions because I like the stock lock screen but not being able to turn off the alarm is not an option.

You want to use that aosp clock app instead of the htc one. The htc alarm clock can only be used with the HTC lockscreen, as they are tied together somehow. Since you're using the aosp lockscreen now, you must also use the aosp clock/alarm app instead of the htc one. Otherwise you won't be able to shut your alarm off. Hope that helps clear it up a little bit.
Its the CM7 clock app the same thing as the aosp clock app. what does aosp stand for any way.

Yes, correct. CM7 is AOSP. AOSP= Android Open Source Project . (Not Sense based)

Glad you're all set. And yes, xda is a fantastic forum, that's for sure.
Quick question do I need to install that apk our just place it in a, if so which one? I also down loaded CM7 and I can not find any file name aosp_clock.apk. There is a DeskClock.apk that is comes in the CM7. Not that I don't trust "thebeast614" I do a lot of security work and am I a paranoid kinda person. No disrespect to thebeast614.

Ok after doing more reading and looking I have found that I should be able to take the DesktopClock.apk out of CM7 place it in the /system/apps location give it full permissions, "chmod 777" or with Root Explorer and then I can re-remove the HTCLockScreen.apk and HTCLockScreen.odex, just rename them in case I have to go back. Then after a reboot I would have the stock Android lock screen, which I have done before, but this time with the DesktopClock.apk I should be able to control the alarm better, ie turn it off. Now do I just place the DesktopClock.apk in the /system/apps or do I install it from say Root Explorer. My other question is currently in my stock Evo sense ui, under all apps there is a Desk Clock app, will that be replaced or will there be another app for the DesktopClock.apk that I installed.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App
Ok so this is what I ended up with and yes it worked thanks to the help of the people on this forum.
1st Have Root
2nd Root Explorer (I guess you could use adb but I find it sometimes easier to use root explorer for soemthing.)
3rd Rename HTCLockScreen.apk to HTCLockScreen.apk_bak and HTCLockScreen.odex to HTCLockScreen.odex_bak. I reason I renamed and not deleted is so I could easily go back if I want to. Deleting will work as well but may sure you have a back first.
4th I installed the DesktopClock.apk from CM6 the latest stable version. Just downloaded the zip file opened it took the DesktopClock.apk out and installed it from the sd card.
5th Restarted the phone and enjoyed the Android lock screen. You have to leave the HTC Clock on the phone or the phone will freak out. make sure to turn off all the HTC alarms off and re-enter the alarms in the new Android clock.

I think there are flashables in the themes development that you can flash to change them or just flash a theme? Make sure you wipe cache and dalvik before flashing and make a backup before doing so just in case bootloops do happen. And make sure its compatible to the software ur on EI22 EC05 etcetc

That is probably the reason why...all the 10 lock mods are very volatile and unstable on EI22 ROMs. If you flash either my green or blue circle mod and it boot loops I will edit the framework-res in that theme with whichever one you like.

Kenny, question regarding his bootloop problem. Can that be due to a voltage contol issue or even a possible slightly corrupt boot file? Remember when I mention about me having system errors?

Always possible to be a voltage problem. If he is getting it immediately after flashing a battery mod then it is an incompatibility between the 2 framework-res.apk files because that is where the battery icons are stored.
To the OP, there are a few more themes with lock mods available now. See if one has the battery icon you like and reflash your ROM (to remove current mod) then flash the new theme.
I noticed I could potentially change my icons and themes from RT, but attempting that on my DX caused bad results. Has anyone tried it with this S3 rom, or any others? GS3 SGH-T999 with Root66 4.1.1 T-Mobile rom with flashed boot animation enabler and CWM Touch 6.0.1.2 (I think)
Thanks!

For most part RT Pro works. Some Status Bar icons can be changed will others dont do anything. Ive noticed that some work like a battery icon change works visually but the percentage of the battery level was always off. I know boot animation can be used but on a CM10 based rom it does not store the boot ani in the right folder but I do believe it does store it correctly on a stock rom.
Never fails to try just do a Nandroid backup. I do it all the time.
Okay, I'll give it a go after my next backup. I got the boot animations to work after flashing an enabler I found on another post. It still does the T-Mobile chime, but that's fine.
Thanks for the feedback!
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
Tried RT Pro icons and it didn't do anything, other than bugger my accounts up. I just restored the backup from TouchWin to get it back. I'm curious if It's just where Samsung stored the icons, since some came up not found on system, or if Samsung has them blocked, and it requires an enabler, like the custom boot animations do. I'll have to finger walk a bit more and see if there's an enabler, or another app that can change icons. I looked into UOTKitchen, I think it was called, and It's got some neat icons I'd like to use, but I'm worried about using it to mod Root66, and totally screwing up the rom, or worse, fouling my phone up.
Any thoughts/suggestions?
