First and formost my phone is on stock eb13 with genocide kernel, rfs, and rooted with oneclickroot v2.5.5 and am still really new to all of this so please help me out.
First I was wondering if I can flash bonsai right away or if I need the new clockwork 3.x with ext4?
Second I was wondering if anyone on this rom is having any of the same battery charging problems as those caused by the new syndicaterom with twilight kernel on ext4?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

(Make sure u put the bonsai rom in ur sd card first) then afther that flash the rom and ur good. I have no issues with battery or anything on this rom this is the best rom I ever used lol.

Pretty sure Bonsai scans your phone and formats it for EXT4 if it isn't already. It backs up your data and restores it, too. Just do a complete backup then flash it. If it is a no go, just restore.

Mine charges fine while off.
Anyone using Sprint Navigator? Please check how many satellites it finds under Share & More/Diagnostics. I have 2 epics, 1 on Bonsai and 1 with just stock and Genocide, and both report 1 satellite and 10% GPS. GPSTest reports 9 Satellites and Google Nav works fine (hate the voice and graphics).
Thanks.

I tried installing the removed apps, and when running from "Install from SD Card" it says it is aborted and not installed. Any secret I am missing out on?

Live Wallpaper
I installed the missing live wallpaper files to the system/app folder on the phone but I cant get them to show up. I read something about changing the permission of the files, but have no idea how to do it.
Help!
Love the Rom so far!

Finally found it. Used Ghost Commander to change the permissions. Live Wallpaper is back but some seem to be missing from the stock selection that came with the phone. No worries.
Okay I finally pulled everything off and now have bonsai4all on my phone but for some reason I can't connect to wifi any more? It does come up, and I did save the ip address, but now, for some odd reason, it won't connect to it... help?

1) Was it working before you rooted?
2) Are you referring to the native hdmi capabilities, or hdmi mirroring (HDMwIn from teamwin)? Or both?
3) Are you positive that you're cable is good, and that the port on your Evo is clean and dust free? (i'd hope it is, since you just got it)
If you're using one of the full hdmi apps, are you on the modified kernel? Did you try changing resolutions?
What ROM are you using anyways? Are you sure hdmi is supported with the ROM you're using?
I am running kings unleashed rl2. Yes it was working before root.cable is fine tried on friends evo worked perfect

Hmm, I'm really not sure. I've never had that happen, my hdmi has always worked on any sense ROM. I suppose that if I was having that problem, I would try wiping cache, davlik cache, and flashing a different kernel. If that still failed, I would try a complete wipe and reflash of the rom. I'm just guessing with those things, just basic stuff to try first, if you haven't already. I've never noticed (or don't remember) anyone having this issue before, so I don't know what else to suggest, other than wiping, trying a different kernel, reflashing of the rom, or a different rom. I was r2 a week ago or so, and hdmi was working fine for me, but I don't recall which kernel I was on.
Did u reboot try reflashing the stock rooted rom and test

Its either a Voodoo issue or something in the kernel. Rodderik is aware of the issue and looking into it. A simple reboot will fix it sometimes otherwise, ehat Shoulon said

All the info you need "should" be in the OP for the ROM. For instance SRF 1.2 requires you to also flash a kernel of your choice. Most ROMs are EXT4 these days but there are a few RFS ROMs out there. And almost all include a kernel. So if you want to try someone's recommended ROM for battery life, just remember to run several backups first, a nand and something like Titanium Backup.

I liked simply aosp, it was a good ROM. I ran the revolted kernel with it and got good battery life and performance. if u did triple wipes in cwm like u were supposed to, then it would be like starting a new ROM with nothing on it. Are u sure u flashed it right?

When modding someone else's phone that it the kind of ROM you want. The one that makes some new graphics and keeps everything else the same. What launcher is on her phone? If it is still Touchwiz, get her to start using another launcher since a lot of ROMs remove twlauncher as bloat. I got ADW for my GF and I use Zeam. It will save you a homescreen nightmare.

well, as long as it works, then you're good to go. i always found that flashing without wiping data or restoring data from a previous flash has a tendency to cause issues with the rom later on. if u do have any problems, u may have to go back into cwm and wipe data as well as the cache and dalvik (3x/ea) then reflash your rom. but again, if it ain't broke... also, kenny said something about the touchwiz launcher... that launcher is included in the simply aosp rom under the "simply settings" app, as are the gingerbread launcher and the froyo launcher. i like touchwiz ok, i prefer the gingerbread launcher over that tho.

Are you interested in trouble shooting or are you to the point that you're set to jump back to ICS?
If you are interested in trying to figure out your issues; we'd need to know which FK23 you used to start. You said you were stock/unrooted so I'd assume you used the .tar file with Odin, but I don't want to assume.
Like third son, I use Fk23 as my dd and have, so far, had a great experience to my delight. I used the intial .tar with pc Odin.
I would start from scratch. Sounds like you got a flacky install.
I guess I can try again... I followed the youtube video from qbking77 so whatever the video used is what I used lol
I mean I like this update but to buggy for me

OP - Try this link. (I'm am not saying it's better than _dan's, Mattix's, garwynns / nor am I saying unrooted is better than rooted. I'm saying this is the build that's my DD and has been great for me.)
Be advised to backup everything important from your phone prior. Read everything and take your time. I know you were busy but don't rush.
If you have any questions, I'm sure there are a ton of people willing to answer.

LED flashes blue for me when I get notifications
mms works instantly
gps is a near instant lock (unless I am in a known dead zone)
I got 16hr of battery yesterday with over 3h of screen time and still had 32% left in my battery before I plugged it in.
I had some problems using AGATs recovery. I did an initial install of the TAR (which erased my internal SD) then I flashed the one click and AGAT ( when they were first posted.and had some screen brightness issues) I tried a nandroid with the recovery and it nuked all my apps. I went back to the TAR (with ODIN) and have rooted stock now with no problems. Used Titanium backup to rid myself of the Sprintware. No, you don't have to reflash ICS. When you get home and if you have questions before hand, just ask.

If you have the modem flashed already, don't worry about that one. Look on "about phone" to find out. The rooted one click will give you both kernel and rom. Are you familiar with how to do that? Not being a wise guy....just asking....
