You need to wipe.
Try wiping system, cache & dalvik cache. Then reflash the ROM. It it still fails you need to do a full wipe.

H'okay. So. I had Myn's 2.2 and I wanted to try out something different so I decided on CM7 RC2.
I do a nandroid backup (ofcourse) and then proceed to wipe my cache/factory reset. I then flash CM7 and then do a partial restore of my data for my apps/contacts.
I then proceed to the boot screen and it just loops, over and over again. Without loading my data, CM7 boots just fine... so what in my data is preventing me from being able to boot into CM7?
Thanks in advance!
Boot into recovery, wipe dalvik cache, reboot system.
Try not restoring the data part of the applications. I've heard sometimes issues can arise from that.

What am I supposed to restore to get apps/contacts back then? :3
What you should do is backup your apps with titanium, backup your rom, then wipe factory/data, cache, dalvik cache, flash the rom. on the first boot, it may take an extra couple of minutes. After you sign in, blah blah, open titanium backup, then restore apps with data, NOT system settings.
What you have to do is flash Calkulin's Format All zip. This will delete everything except for the SD card. While still in recovery reflash CM7 and then while STILL in recovery flash the proper Gaaps. You follow these tlstwps I guarantee it will work without a problem. FYI, in terms of restoring your apps with data more than likely it wont work. I have always had trouble restoring AP data when going from Sense to AOSP (CM) Hope this helped.
I tried out a rom and really didnt like it. I made a nandroid backup before hand so would I just go into recovery and restore or do I need to wipe anything first like delvic cache or factory data wipe?
wipe dalvik cache the other cache and wipe data factory reset. then restore. or you could flash calkulins format all.
Well I actually already did it and I just did the restore without wiping anything. Everything seems to work fine I will wipe cache and delvic but do you think I could get away without the factory restore?
A Nandroid restore completely overwrites everything with the backed up files. No need to wipe anything it is done automatically.
Awesome, thank you very much!

Hello quick question...
I recently backed up rom i used, via recovery to SD card. After that i wiped everything and flashed another rom.
So, now if i want to restore my previous rom i should do, data/factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik and restore my previous rom right?
No need to do any wipes, it has to wipe to restore the partition anyway.
Can someone tell me the best order to do the wipe cache and the other stuff before restoring stock rom backup via cwm?
First of all, flash the right kernel for stock via fastboot... I suggest titanium kiss then:-
Recovery>wipe data/factory reset>restore backup which u want to do...
no need to wipe cache and dalvik?
Wipe data/factory reset will do all...
Well i wiped dalvik cache and cache only and now stuck on sasmung logo?? How much time davlik need for rebuilding or I need to restore all backup (waited 15min and nothing)? The all backup restore didnt work too...So factory reset is next right?
The factory reset worked but when restoreing backup its the same thing. Pls help where could be the problem in backup (system,boot,data...)
Stock rom CWM persus kernel

Really no idea, maybe some file corrupted.
You can use odin pc to install stock rom. After successfully reboot then root it and do restore again.
Good luck.

What do you want to restore? Did you already have Perseus kernel when you did the nandroid backup?
How did you made backup?

Yes the persus kernel was instaled when i did nandroid, I used cwm backup to external card, tried to restore one by one but when restoring data i get stuck. I whant to restore everything, thats way I did backup before wipeing dalvik. So only left is flash stock root and try again?
Which error message do you have? Did you move or rename your backup?
Try to go to advanced settings and restore data only.
No error just stuck at boot logo, I tried every combination with system, boot, data restore but nothing, then I restored eariler backup without persus kernel in it and it worked (reverted back to stock kernel) then instaled persus again and its all fine now :good: Do you think there is some problem with backuping when persus kernel is installed?
I didnt now that factory reset with cwm doesnt erase sd internal so I have everthing back in place. Tnx everyone
Nice :good:
I know that we can have some issues when we try to restore a nandroid created from another kernel but nothing special but the Perseus kernel.
But AFAIK there is less problems with TWRP than CWM so it's possible that your problem is a recovery one and your custom kernel doesn't matter. Just try TWRP and let me know
EDIT
Factory reset only erases /data and /cache folders
I tried with TWRP and no problem with backup or restore :good: tnx
