anyone reading this that wants to set this manually
go into dialer
press ##DATA# (##3282#)
choose EDIT
enter your 6 Digit MSL (master subsidy lock)
if you dont know your MSL grab MSL Reader in the market free (requires root)
choose OTHERS (bottom of list that comes up)
choose MULTIMEDIA
Delete all stored settings there
Use the back button to back out of all the menus to the dialer app
DONE

You should be able to in the app but I'm not sure cuz I don't have it but other emulators have that option.

You can remap keys by editing the file /system/usr/keylayout/s3c-keypad.kl with a standard text editor. Just make a backup of the file, edit, then reboot.
I mapped my emoticon key to a tab key so I could auto-complete commands while in a Bash shell.

I changed SMILY to TAB and I tried with Connectbot and it didnt auto-complete. It just put a literal tab space. Any thoughts? You use a different terminal app?

It's pretty simple. Change key 42 in the file to look like this:
Key 42 TAB WAKE_DROPPED
Now you have a tab key. You can use the sed command if your version of busybox has it:
sed '/s/SMILY/TAB/g' /system/usr/keylayout/s3c-keypad.kl -i

Switch to an ash shell instead:
su -c ash
It's the shell that does auto-complete. If that doesn't work download terminal emulator from the market. It's free and works well.

I just tried su -c ash with Connectbot and it doesn't work properly so just use terminal emulator which IMHO is better for terminal commands and it has more options.

Can someone who did not do this hack yet please dial ##778# and go edit mode password 000000 and then go to M.I.P Default Profile and tell us under NAI. and. DUN NAI. If they both have [email protected] in it or just one that has dun. In address if o.ly one such one.please. some of us forgot such ones we changed so we can undo the hack since we have root now. Thank you

Some tether hack. I tried it and hated it.
As for the OP, I'd help you but I have cyanogen on and it doesn't work.
Just follow the steps you provided in the other thread, but backwards? That's all I did.

Does any one have a way to set the hostname at boot? For example, if I do "getprop net.hostname" in terminal. It will say android-xxxxxxxxx.
I also tried putting "setprop net.hostname Galaxy-Nexus" in a init.d script, but it errors.

Hi I was just wondering if anyone knows how to fix the connection settings in my messaging app I'm running digitalkarmas jackpot Rom and the connection settings in the messaging app are blocked meaning I can't select one to change the settings how can I unblock them I am on the cricket network so I need to change the settings to get my mms to work... Hello fellow xda members! Quick question. I have an epic touch flashed to page plus. With The YouTube app and even on my browser I can't watch/stream videos. I even used tubemate to download them and it still doesn't work. Does any know a fix for this? I'm rooted and running wicked sensations 1.6 also if this is in the wrong section I apologize.

My fix to this was two options but you can use them both together if needed. If you know your msl code go to ##3282# click edit, enter msl code, chose others and choose multimedia and doibg the following
0.0.0.0
0
0.0.0.0
0
And you should be good sometimes it could be the modem you may just need to pick a different one.
