I remember doing this with CM3 and CM4 on my G1, unfortunately, the files don't exist to remove in 2.3.2.. I have a theme for evervolv gingerbread and would like to incorporate this into my theme. Any guidance would be appreciated.
Im thinking I may need to add some lines in keygaurd_rotary_unlock_port.xml, but am not positive.. or maybe remove some lines from another .xml?
Attached is an image of what id like this to look like.. Basically just the ability to view the homescreen with the keygaurd is up.

Recompiling an .apk
There are a couple of ROMs that I want to make it compatible with, and the framework is not interchangable, so this seems to be the easiest way to go about it.
Also, I did say any guidance would be appreciated. Oh gave some guidance-more than I got from anyone else. Haha

You may also have to edit policy.jar from the frameworks as it contains code for the lockscreen. Looking at the XML the color code is a transparent code. So it is the actual desktop picture showing, but how to get the widgets to show through idk.

Anyone mind helping me fix this.
Edit: When I say fix I meant by making the stock rosie go away after flashing the new rosie. I keep playing around with it and even made the phone keep force close htc sense. Then I would have to re flash or nandroid restore. I can't fix it for the life of me. Any help would be appreciated.

Insert generic nandroid/backup statement.

Lol i'm talking about so the original rosie would go away. I've tried making three separate rosie's since I lost all my files and each one I flashed they all turn out overlapped.

Did you clear out the images in the com.htc.resources.apk? What its doing is changing the images in the Rosie.apk, but the ones that are overlapping are from the framework. You have to get them out too. Theyre in the drawable-land-hdpi folder.

Hi Guys,
I once themed for Windows Mobile and have a lot of leftover image files, which are currently unused.
And since I am new to customizing Android I thought, why not share some of my stuff with you, so that you can use them in Themes or whatever you like.
For today I do have Taskbar icons, which I made all by myself in different variations.
This is a Preview:

All those different styles are in the PSD . The Icon Size is 128x128 so it should be big enough for whatever you want it to use for^^
I tried to make the PSD as organized as possible and of course you can variate them quite a lot, so plz dont think that what you see in the preview is all that is possible.
You can download the PSD here:
http://www.mediafire.com/?ceou7b9ijwdnph7
I hope you like it and if you do, plz press the "Thanks"-Button and if you use my stuff in Themes or in Roms you created, plz give some credit^^

I am not that experienced, too, but you would need to extract your the systemUI.apk from your current rom and replace the images with the ones from the PSD. Names and sizes need to be the same.
Then just push it on your phone and they should be changed, but again, I dont really know much about it^^

I was looking for this too, but didn't find anything even close.
So I made my own! (thanks to lunapic.com, it took all of 2 seconds)
I uploaded the original from the framework, then resized it from 480x800 to 960x800 (this may not be your size, I have an OG Evo...) - if not, try lunapic - it's pretty easy to edit images online, I used my phone & Opera (regular, not Mini)
Anyway, this is what I think you meant:
(NOTE!: Do _NOT_ just "Save As..." on the image below, download the attatched .zip file! The image below is just a thumbnail!)
If this is what you wanted, your welcome! - zmag
That's actually better than what I wanted. Originally I just wanted the "solid" grey. Thanks man.

Ahh hmm, all I can suggest is maybe taking a screenshot of anything that contains the grey color you want; then use any image editor that has a "color picker/dropper" feature (to copy the grey color); then make a new image of your screen size, and wallah! you're done!
If you can't manage that, post a screenshot with something containing the grey you want, and post your screen dinensions - I'll do the rest Oh, and glad you like the stock black/grey gradient I spit out (I thought that's what you were looking for originally; that's what _I_ was searching for at least ) - zmag
I know I can do that. I've been away from a pc though. I may do it when I finally go home today, but I think I might stick with the one you posted instead.

Divider images in framework-res.apk. Search "Divider" in the drawable-hdpi folder. You'll find light and dark pngs.
EDIT: Contacts pulls a lot of images from twframework-res.apk, so I'd also look there if it's not in framework-res.apk.

Im thinking that divider is not in contacts.apk. May be in phone.apk, mms.apk, framework.apk, or systemui.apk.
