My friend got an Evo flashed to metro pcs & have the MOTO Droid X Rom installed .
Everything works & all is good .
If he wants to flash a different Rom instead is there anything special he need to do ? How can I know what Rom to flash for him ?

I believe he would have to change some sms and mms settings, but I could be wrong.
not all roms work with metro, most have mms problems, Metro droid 2.2 works for me

Was wondering if it was possible to port the Incredible rom to the HTC evo?
I tried finding an Incredible rom to base it off of but i can not find one. If anyone knows of one i can base it off that would be nice.
*Note I'm not using this rom for sprint, it will be a rom for cricket.
What's the point of doing that? Why would want the Incredible Rom on Evo?
The problem with the Sprint EVO rom is that MMS will not work on cricket. I have been going through all the files, changing APNS, ETC. Something in the sprint rom prevents a successful picture message.

I want to update to the new rom that sprint released or any other good rom with sense that runs good & won't give me any problems & that everything will work . 4g , wifi ......
Is there any way to restore my apps with nand backup ?
This will be my first time flashing a rom .

I like Mike Froyo v4.2 Re-engineered... a very good stock base ROM ROM optimized for speed, but still Sense and a "stock" experience, with a few goodies... get it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=883026.
For backup, I'm a new fan of TI Backup, used by many on here, and long time user of My Backup Pro, which allows you to restore your home screens exactly as they were (Someone correct me, but Ti Back up is Great, but does not have a function to restore home screen layout...?)

I abosolutely love myns warm twopointtwo. at least check out his thread. there are over 2000 pages in there, and all of them filled with compliments. you will not be dissapointed. yes, the file size is a bit big, but the tweaks he puts in makes the rom look and feel like a superphone. you wont be sorry.
I recently had my Evo flashed to Metro,and I`ve tried all of Bloodykillers roms,which are great. His roms are optimized for Metro pcs i guess and all works well with them. What im wanting to know,is can I flash any custom Evo rom and not mess up my flash to Metro and still have all features working? i`m addicted to flashing and really miss being able to flash any rom i want. Any and all advive is greatly appreciated.

On my htc evo 4g, this is by default rom that cricket flashe to my phone,
I am wondering if this is a good rom,
I have noticed my mms doesnt work, it acts like it is sending but it never actually sends the mms to the other person nor can i seem to recieve mms
I am wanting a different rom / newer one
that would increase my battery time,
I only get about from 6am to 3pm before its about dead.
Also id like to fix the mms,
And want to know what the latest PRL is for my phone for cricket.
Also on this rom the front camera doesnt work but when i flashed cm7 with i dont like it works.
I dont want a rom that has a theme i prefer the stock theme / look just midified or with these things i requested.
and everything else such as internet gps text phone working for cricket that i already had.
Please recommend me things things / rom i should use, and links to these latest things.

You can pretty much flash any rom made for the EVO 4G as long as you're rooted, however, I'm not sure if you're able to use those roms with Cricket. I don't why you shouldn't be able to, but I'm not a Cricket customer. Try this. Before flashing a different rom, go into your recovery and make a nandroid backup of your current setup to fall back to in case you're dissatisfied with the new rom or is unable to use it with Cricket. If you want recommendations on a Sense-based rom, I recommend Myn's Warm TwoPointTwo RLS 5. You can view screenshots and download it from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=793471

I'm pretty sure you have to have the cricket rom for your phone to work. If you go to another to it probably won't work.
