[Q] Wireless tether question...

ok...
so im rooted and running myn's warm 2.2 rls5, with netarchy's 4.2.1 kernel currently, but i switch between a few kernels, mostly using netarchy's 4.1.9.1...
and i use my wireless tethering quite often (i have 4g coverage, and have had up to 10mb connection speeds, with downloads up to 1300kBps)
by the way im using wireless tether 2.0.6
so heres the deal... the other day i somehow managed to switch the upstream/downstream monitor to display kBps/mBps instead of the standard kbps/mbps... and for the life of me i cannot figure out how i did this. im fairly technical savvy, but i am at whits end trying to figure this out! in fact, this evening i earlier had it displaying kBps (@ my current upstream/downstream rate), then i wanted to see what my current connection speed was registering at, given my current downloading i was doing, so i wanted to switch it back to kbps, and somehow i did...without figuring out how i did it. so now im at a stalemate with this app. more now than ever, this is simply a quest to not let an app get the best of me! i downloaded 2.0.5 pre-14, that came on myn's rom, and installed that version; just to check in case i had a different version that i had done that with, then tried 2.0.6, and so on. only to come out fruitless.
so basically if anyone has figured out this magic trick please help me by spilling the beans... hell, get to figuring it out of you are bored. its really not a highly complicated app, and im far to lazy to read the code on it and figure it out...
any insight? anyone?

ScummVM?

So I've read on some forums that a few lucky people have been able to get ScummVM to work on their Epics. I was wondering if anyone knew how to set it up to get it to run? Apparently Curse of Monkey Island works fine, but others have trouble. I'm running 2.2 and Bonsai, any ideas?

[Q] CM7 Bootloop Curse

So i`ve been reading all these threads about people having bootloops while running CM7,and its pretty darn scary to think your EVO can turn into a paper weight out of the blue. So heres my question, i am running Bloodykillers CM7 for Metropcs and im really worried about it doing the bootloop even though i`ve been using it for two weeks with no problem. Is there any othe roms besides Bloodys that work with Metro? Any advice as always is greatly appreciated.

I don't know if there's any other rom that works for Metro but here's what I would do because I'm on Boost and this has work for me. I would go to the market, download APNBackup or something like that.....back up your APNs.....boot into recovery, back up your ROM completely and flash a rom that doesn't update your PRL, Radio or anything crazy like that. If it boots up the new rom then just go into the market, download the APNBackup app again and restore your APNs. Once you do that, do a reboot and check your things out like MMS, SMS and talk.
Now keep in mind that I did this with Boost so I don't know if it would be successful with metro so do this at your own risk!
GOOD LUCK dude!
Oh and I'm on CM7 RC2 and I haven't got any random bootloop or anything crazy at all soooo...I don't know what you were talking about dude!

[Q] Gamepad?

Hi i was wondering if any1 knows anything about a good gamepad for the mytouch 4g. Now i dont want just any gamepad i need one that attaches to the phone itself. Also i dont like the BGP100 because it does not have any joy sticks.
Right now im looking into the iControlPad but im wondering if it will work on my phone and if the clamps will work with the mytouch4g.
Also im on a rooted mytouch 4g running cyanogen mod (one of the nightlys)
Any1 got any suggestions?
Bump from hell also an update:
Managed to get a wiimote working on my mytouch but i cant
seem to get it working for n64oid. The wiimote clearly works
since when i push buttons on the wiimote letters would be typed
BUT when configuring the controlls in n64oid for the wiimote
the app seems to recognize the keypresses from the wiimote
but does not recognize them in-game. Any1 else know a workaround?
does it work on sense?
Not sure but I'm going to try it out today since I switched to a sense rom last night but people say it don't work so...well see
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
Results of your testing? does it work okay?

[Q] I cant get it updated from 4.0.2.

I am sure you guys have heard this one before.
BTW thanks again for all the help on rooting my GNex. I did it only for experience and being able to tether my N7 to my phone and it works pretty good. The Gnex crashes sometimes while tethering.
So being on 4.0.2 and rooted stock and on Verizon I noticed several months ago my OTA updates were not being verified and thus not being installed. I was hoping the problem would go away but it has not and now my Gnex is crashing, almost daily, re booting and bugging the heck out of me with that nagging window telling me there is an update available.
Please keep in mind that I really love the tethering on my unlimited data plan and would like to keep a way to do that.
So should I try to side load the update to get to 4.04 or go back to stock? and start over.
Thanks for all the help
JamrD
Bump
Can anyone point me to a fix for this problem?
