I know its irrelevant, but my score with 2.2 was 1780 and now with HTC update 2.3.3 1400..
something stinks... your score ?
I just tried Quadrant for the first time since the OTA and was shocked to see that I scored 1460. Before the OTA I would normally score 1800-1900. However I don't notice that my phone is slower.

I am running Genocide 0.3 with setCPU set to 1.2 Ghz and performance. I am getting scores lower than a 1.0 Ghz stock Epic with 2.2. I am getting 1113 and 2435 at 1.2 Ghz. That is definitely an improvement over stock EB13 where I was gettin 300-400 less on each. What could be slowing my Epic down?
Thanks.

Those scores aren't really all that bad. Not great, but not bad!
If it helps any (and might make you feel better ) run Smartbench again and note the scores of the next 2 or 3 phones below your score. Run Smartbench again and see what the scores are listed at for those same phones again and you will see that they have changed.
I'm sure that Smartbench is one of the best benchmark programs out because of they way it tests, but the "comparison" output it gives leaves a lot to be desired.
In any case, scores also vary based on what things are running in the background when the test is performed. (IE: As soon as the phone is booted up, immediately after killing apps/tasks, etc.)
Edit: The way a Rom is optmized has a lot to do with it as well. What Rom are you running with the Genocide kernel?

It made a big difference on Smartbench? Want to switch but keep my stock apps and TouchWiz. I had some FCs last time I tried to just convert so want to make sure to pick a ROM with as little bugs as possible.

Well I jumped in to EXT 4 and Bonsai and bricked my phone, which only confirms my phone was flaky from the start. So I Odin'd the EB13 Deodexed with EXT4 and then Bonsai on top of that, restored with Titanium and VOILA, superfast! I finally beat the stock Epic and just about tie with that LG on top! Thank you all for the advice.
trying to run quadrant, phone hangs up on cpu step 10/12 every time. I know it's doing video decoding, but I feel like it shouldn't sit there for 5+ minutes...
running syndicate rom on eb13 ext4
Which SmartBench are you running? 2010 or 2011? If you're running 2011, the scores are going to be lower because he changed the baseline.
My scores on 1.2Ghz, Syndicate ROM are 949 and 2264 but significantly lower than the 2010 version which was (going from memory) around 1300 and 2900.
The way I use these benches are firstly against my own phone. The first numbers are my base and then I only compare against myself.
Secondly, you'll have to go to the website to filter the score results, but you'll compare your phone ONLY with those of the same phone.
Thirdly, once it's been established that all units are being run against the same tool, you can compare your marks against others.
Not saying my way's the only way of looking at things or that it's better; just that I do it this way.
What's your highest quadrant scores? I posted a video of mine on youtube search Thebates060 with HTC Desire

Mine is 2550 With Overclocked CPU 1190MHz on latest Starburst Rom 1.3.3.4 Data2ext

Have you seen my video I get a little more than that with the insertcoin Rom HD PORT
2659!

Before the overclock i get a score of 2149 @ 998mhz
Real score is around 1850 with the ROM in my signature (A2SD+ version). With OC, I manage to get near 2000, but not really tested it I'm fine with it.
why are you people so concerned on the Quadrant score? it is impactless in real life usage

Agreed....
Depends on what you use your phone for? Maybe it doesn't matter for texting, calling, alarms and small apps, but its more advanced programs such as PhotoShop or wireless hacking or programs that demand more speed. I want people to post different speeds of different ROMs for trying out and playing with and so people can discuss which speeds can be achieved by different roms and therefore compare easily

Well, then don't rely on those D2Ext fake scores then
devNULL standard 1100 no idea about CPU etc
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
Mine was 2497 with starburst ROM with 1190 of and class 4 4GB Micro SD card
What causes lighter ROM's such as DevNull to have lower scores than ROM's running Sense? Seems like Sense should be slower since it has more to process.

Does make sense but I remember trying it on Oxygen RC7 with OC to 1100MHz or whatever was setCPU's max and all I could get out of it was around 1400...no idea how people get over 2000.
I am getting average of late 1700's with Insertcoin 2.0.0 APP2SD version on standard 998 clocks with smartass gov
About the same,~1100, I'm using leedroid 2.3d

To be honest I'm not too fussed. DevNULL is faster than any other rom I've tried and far faster than a sense rom. Not sure why the quadrant score doesn't reflect that.

Bad quadrant score 860
How is that bad, it's as fast as the galaxy s according to the scores.

With improvements to CM7, a custom kernel and overclocking to 750 mhz, this device will be even faster.

I have cm9 android 4.0.3 and I do an antutu benchmark . I got 1973 point ,but I saw a Romanian boy(like me) with android 4.0.3 and he got 3957 . How it can be possible?
Overclocking, less apps in baclhround, different benchmark app etc..

CM9 was very slow on my gio, switched to CM7 and it almost doubled CPU performance. Anyway I have runned the AnTuTu Benchmark (2.7.3, default test) and I got 2330. Overclocked my gio tho, now I do wonder why he has such a high score.
These are just numbers guys, practicle it could be different

I dont think it's true all the time...for me it isn't.
CM7 would give me about 2150, and CM9 gives be about 2050. A bit les, not to bad. Only overclocked to 825 for stability reasons now, CM7 was done at 844
Hi there,
It seems like everyone has 6000 in Quadrant on his One X , using Android Revolution HD, wich is stock.
I don't seem to get higher then 5350 in Quadrant, same thing happens for Antutu benchmark where I get around 12500,
and else get like 13000. I did a quick comparison and the cpu scores somehow looks lower then others.
I have a variant 1, stock boot.img android revolution HD 9. Anyone got an explanation / fix for this?
Thanks
Well, i heard that people say that Quadrant is not stable and chaining score all the time. I tested it and it's true Quadrant is not the best benchmark app. I can recommend you AnTuTu it's much more accurate and better!
It seems that my I/O score is half the score of someone else, I get around 5k instead of 10k

Not only that but scores are higher in the paid than free version, antutu is a better test as said, you should score between 10 and 12 k.

Antutu should 'always' be higher than 12k since the 4.0.4 update.
It will only ever be less if battery is running low.
