You could just freeze it... because it really doesn't do any harm anyway. It is just a widget really. Unless you are using it, it basically isn't even there.
I just saw this app using titanium backup. It can remove it.

Despite using AntTek app to freeze Samsung Media Hub it still shows up in my app drawer and occasionally runs. How can I get rid of it completely? Everything else froze properly.

Have you tried sdx app remover. I know there are other ways, but to me this is the easiest, and you can restore very easy.

Doesn't seem to make any difference. There's still a service running, sometimes automatically and if I tap a leftover shortcut the thing runs like it's still installed. Media Hub, you useless bastich.

Ouch, I wasn't aware that the T-Mobile Galaxy S2 had CarrierIQ, the battery-draining performance-sapping privacy-invader.
I came from the Sprint Galaxy S2, and there was a fairly involved mod to remove it.

Hopefully one of our ROM devs here can work the same magic.
Did you flash a Rom? Because I believe its only in the stock Rom. juggernaunt Rom doesn't have this process.

If your root i suggest making a nandroid backup. Then use titanium back up to remove the process.
I know its just don't know if its going to boot loop. Because this **** steals everything from us.

I told you make a nandroid back up and remove the process with titanium backup. If its boot loops. Remove the battery and restore your back up from clockwork recovery.

I froze it with titanium with no negative effects so far. When I had an evo3D I had a kernel that blocked it completely from communicating with the network and even if installed again it would be unable to connect to anything. Any developers know of a way to get this done with our phones?
For all of those unaware of carrierIQ its a logging program for usage stats run by a company hired to get user stats for carriers. Its methods are extremely intrusive it can read KEYPRESS logs as well as has access to just about every scrap of data on your phone. Do a Google search. Big brother stuff.

it isn't in the juggernaunt rom i believe the developers already removed the process. the evo 3d has a locked boot loader. Samsung does not like i said try removing it with Titanium back up if it fails well nandroid. I'm actually looking in titanium back up myself. You can actually download the roms and open with 7zip or winrar go to system and see if its there.

If you're rooted you can use Titanium Backup to delete pretty much any apk on your phone. I personally recommend the Pro version because you have the ability to freeze apps too. That way you can freeze an app for a day or so to make sure your device runs okay without it and then uninstall it after that with no worries of bricking your phone. As for live wallpapers, those you can delete regardless, as far as I know, none of them are tied to anything important on your phone, i remove them pretty much with the install of every new rom.
Thanks.......

You can just uninstall the live-wallpapers, I meant that using the freeze function on TiBackup was good for when you are wanting to delete an actual app but aren't sure if it's gonna mess up your phone, that way you can freeze it to make sure your phone still works fine and then delete it later. Just make sure it's a live wallpaper you are deleting.
I have the t-mobile galaxy S ii and I wanted to know if there was a way to delete some of the stock apps and if there is could someone tell me how or link me to a tutorial how to? Thanks

You need to be rooted. Then download titanium backup, free version will do, and use that to delete bloat. Be careful what you delete though..

THX 4 DAT LIST !!!!!!
I was searching for something like that!
greetz revnu
I'm going to be rooting mine and my girlfriends phone in the next few days. I wanted to see about removing the Bloatware on the phones once they are rooted. Is there anything special I need to download to be able to remove them? I have most of them disabled but would like to totally get rid if them. I searched all over for an answer but was unable to find one.
Thanks in advance.

Titanium backup. Just download it from the play store and that will do the trick. Search the forum to see which apps are safe to remove tho.
Sent from my SGH-T999
Titanium backup. It allows you to uninstall anything. If you are not sure about a program, you can freeze it, which will not allow the program to run, then if no problems occur it can be uninstalled. if you search, you can find an ongoing list of programs safe to delete
Thank you guys, I ended up getting the pro version and will search for that list of apps you talkrd about and go from there.

You can't do that with TB. Find these bloatware-free ROMs in the android dev forum.
