Dropped my incredible today and Im not spending $90 for a replacement again. I just did that 3 months ago. I might as well take this opportunity to upgrade to a better phone.
Where do I get one fairly cheap and should it be a thunderbolt or Inc 2?
Unless you qualify for an upgrade through your carrier, craigslist or ebay are your best bets I would think.

Damn, I don't want to see you go but between those I'd have to recommend the thunderbolt cause at least it can be rooted. I'd agree that eBay or Craigslist are your best bet.

That sucks dude
Did you just crack the screen or actually kill it? I've dropped my phone without a case on pavement, and it didn't do anything. I was so lucky. Then I got a case and dropped it on tile. lol.

I'm wondering how much you sold it for and how long it took to sell. I see a buttload of them on craigslist in my area. I don't want to mark it rediculously low but I certainly don't want to make it too high to move.
I was going to list my Droid Charge, but Sprint offered me $185 trade in, so I took it. Saved me the hassle of selling it, and almost paid for my wife's E4GT.

Maybe that's because it doesn't look like an actual picture and condition of your phone. Try posting a more ordinary pic. People get scared by that extravagance attempted stuff. They think it's a scam. Oh and leave all the rooted and custom kernel talk out of it. Most people have no idea about that stuff.

For that price you basically robbed yourself LOL
just fyi for some people that sell on craigslist. Make sure your ad goes "live", meaning your ad actually shows up in search results.
Craigslist has this anti spam filter that says your ad is posted but never shows up in search results therefore no one can see it unless you give them the ad link. Had a problem with this when I tried to sell my evo 4g. Posted like 3 times and finally the last ad went live.
http://reviews411.wordpress.com/2008/05/12/craigslist-ad-not-showing-up-its-called-ad-ghosting/
I first posted it for $350. No bites. Then $325, still not bites. $300, nothing. $275, about 5 people interested and sold it the next day.
I currently have both my OG Epic and my EVO 3d and still no bites. I so want this phone.
Put it up for $250 and I sold it the next day. There were a lot up for 300 so I went for the big undercut to move it before Friday.

So a little more than two weeks after I bought my Galaxy Nexus (Sprint), it had a rather unpleasant meeting with concrete. The screen is so cracked, Charlie Sheen is impressed.
Right now they're on back-order with Asurion, so it could be up to two weeks before they ship my replacement. Not sure about the VZW Gnex.
Just wanted to share in case anyone else is as unlucky as I am.
Peace!

How is it a rip-off? For $100 they're sending me a replacement. It would have easily cost a lot more than that to get the screen replaced, and the retail price of the phone is $550.

Actually, that's rather fortuitous for you. Asurion typically does not keep new phones on hand and stocks up on refurbs. What your current situation means is that you'll likely receive a new replacement. "up to two weeks" is their standard disclaimer, but you'll probably be without for just a few days while they acquire a new handset from Sprint and then shop it to you after they receive it. Same thing happened to me in January with the VZW GN.

I have an upgrade next month and I want my wife and I to both upgrade to the nexus. But my wife does not want to spend over $200 for both. Amazon has it for $150. I was wondering of people are still willing to spend $100 on the epic. It's in pretty good condition with some minor cosmetic damage in the bottom of the phone.

As much as someone is willing to pay for it but honestly Sprint in Good Condition will only give you about probably 45 to 60$. And its going for 99.99$ w/ 2 Yr Contract as well.
But as a phone i'd check craigslist around you and see because i have seen people sell it for 150+ and some below that so see whats around you and how much and try their and if nothing works try to sell it here.
Off contract from sprint its around 150 or so... i think. You could put it up for around 100-125.

You gotta put this in Q&A.
Since I'm already here.
I got my gnex a month ago on eBay for 182.00$.
If was posted as rooted and a couple people bid on it so I had to wait it out two hours and last second bid.
I have it and its mint. No scratches. Super clean!!!.
At the moment people are going to be cheap. They are going to jack up the price so they get a N4 for free.
Try to wait a couple months or Craigslist and eBay it. But just some advice , the cheap ones will be in horrible used condition.

Wife and I might be leaving Sprint due to having bad service at home and work, but not in between. How annoying is that if we're roaming and can't use our data? I got a call from Sprint offering a free out on both lines with no ETF due to data roaming that's occuring while I work. We have an Airave here that we got for free (and have no problem sending back to Sprint).
Anyway, onto the question. What price should we be looking at to sell our phones? Both are in great condition -- hers is white, and mine is black. Hers has an Otterbox Defender on it and mine has a Commuter.
I was thinking about $250 a piece for a total of $500 to help pay for our new phones on another carrier.
Thoughts and comments are appreciated! Thanks
I think your price is too high. $200 if you are lucky but $150-175 per phone is more realistic. This phone has been out over a year and used cases have very little value.

150-160 if you want to sell it real quick. 170-185 is where I personally would look for if I'm looking for a used GS2. $200 and above is really stretching it.
I sold mine for $300 on dec 1 with 2 batteries and 3 cases. I put an ad on craigslist nov 31 and by 9am dec 1 I had 3 ppl message me 2 offered 250 and one offered the asking price. It was gone by 10am and I was at sprint picking up my note2

I would've said $250 each at the minimum. Especially if they are in almost new condition since you've had cases on them.
Jist because this phone is a little over a year old it is still a great phone. If they are being sold now at $99 with a 2 year contract, $250 off contract for a like new with accessories is a great deal.
