Hi,
I was wondering if others have this same problem as me.
Since I've had the Android 2.3 update, I cannot upload full size pictures anymore.
It uploads to twitpic and yfrog in a very low resolution, and not the original anymore.
In the settings I have selected Good quality, but doesn't seem to make any sense.
Anyone got this problem too? or does anyhome has a solution for this?
Thanks in advance!
Same problem here. No solution yet..
I'll let you know if I find it.

I have a Qtek 9090, which I love to bits, but am having problems with the camera, and do not know if it is something that I am doing wrong.
When I am lining up a picture I want to take, the screen is fantastically clear, brilliant quality, so sharp, and colourful. Once I press, to take the picture, the saved image is of a greatly reduced quality; fuzzy, a little blurred, faded colours. This also happens if I am photographing still objects, so it is not due to the movement of the subject.
Anyone have any ideas? Do I have a certain setting 'off balance' or is this just the way it is?

I have a similar issue with My XDA IIs. The image i see in what i can describe as the view finder is really crisp, but once i take a pic the image is no where near the same quality. I find that taking video is much better. Im sure this is not a hardware issue, but something to do with how the app compresses the image. Look out for other updates for the camera software in this forum. I have tried a couple of patches to no avail. Maybe it will be in another ROM update .i.e. windows update. I will keep my eye out for you and let you know if i find anything. Let me know likewise.
PM me if you like
I think you need to:
Upgrade your carmera software - search this forum for latest version of extended rom (the carmera program version should be 2.21).
Secondly, do not save photo in SD card - try in storage (I guess should be faster to record the pics you have taken)
I am having the same problem...and guess what: I have version 2.21 ( build 17084 ).
Maybe it is because there isn't steadyshot on it?
Anybody got the answer to our problem?
Yeah, i have the latest version of the software as far as i know. I also have latest patches / updates. Video quality is fine though.... Bit of a weird one, but im sure there will be an update out that will fix it soon.
Hey Guys - sorry if this has been posted before, did some searching but haven't found anything on it. I've got a few high-res photos that I took on vacation. I was able to use them successfully as my wallpaper on my Baked Snacks 9.7 ROM and they looked great.
However, since upgrading to CM6, when I try to load them (iPhoto->SDCARD), they look soft (out of focus). Anyone else experiencing this, and anyone know how to fix/improve? I've noticed some of the stock photos look crisp, just not my own. Thanks in advance!
I have a problem with quality of several pictures and wallpapers on my HTC Wildfire. Picture is fine and smooth for about 1-2s then it sharpens and become grainy, pixelized and generally speaking bad quality.
Picture seems to be shown like it was too much sharpened in photoshop. There are several white pixels. I was trying to use quick pick as well as stock gallery viewer and some other what i cant remember - still with no satisfying effect. On stock htc sense it was all perfect and smooth. I have found one matching topic on my local android forum and one on some english language - still no answer.
If anyone had simillar problem and solved it i am begging for reply it is very annoying. The worst is that picture is perfect before it will fully load (like i said 1-2 sec.) so it can be viewed perfectly. Is there any option to turn rendering/sharpening/or any other photo corecting effect in CM7?
HTC Wildfire
Android: 2.3.7
ROM: CyanogenMod 7.1.0.1. BUZZ Stable
Kernell: 2.6.35.14-nFinity
best regards
Kuba
Try using a different gallery (e.g QuickPic) and wiping the camera with a piece of cloth.
"Picture seems to be shown like it was too much sharpened in photoshop."
I agree with you on this one man. The quality seems to degrade when pic set as wallpaper.
I am going to check out custom-sense rom (either WildPuzzle or DK Custom ROM). Probably this might solve our problem.
Plus i am facing a few other problems like laggy status bar, laggy animations. Hopefully the two aforementioned ROMs will give a better experience.

And about wiping the camera it is not the issue of taken pictures only also when i upload some photos to my phone.

Yes it might be only way i didn't try... I like CM7 anyway so i thought here i will find the solution.
Hello XDA I've been searching for a while now and can't seem to find a fix for the screen shots on CM10. When I send them via mms they lose almost all quality and you really cant make anything out with it. If anyone has found a fix that would be awesome.
So Ive been looking all over the forums, but cant seem to find this anywhere. I want to have the sense 2 (I think) live wallpaper back onto my DHD, because it looked really good. I would post a pic of it, but I can't apparently.
If anyone knows if this has already been done, or can advise me on how to do it, it would be greatly appreciated!
