Safe to flash combo radio update posted on here?

I'm running cm6 final and curious if all I need to do is flash the zip and be done. I know we can't update prl since cm6 doesnt have that option. Do I need to flash a rooted stock rom and then update, then do a restore of cm6? Sorry I couldn't find a straight yes or no answer and dont like doing things that I dont know the outcome of.

I feel like an idiot for asking this, so if it's been posted anywhere, please point me to it.
Do we have a rooted ROM available for 2.3.6? I noticed a significant battery life improvement with 2.3.6 over 2.3.5 before I rooted and could really use having that back again. I did some major digging but I can't find 2.3.6 specifically mentioned in any ROM downloads

+1 to this, but, the AT&T version it's out there, I was wondering, anyone knows if there's a 2.3.6 for Rogers ? Not a custom ROM, a Stock ROM.

is there a signed zip i can flash with 3e recovery ?
i cant use odin because the usb not work
so i have no chance to install CWM
but if i wanne flash the custom roms it say verification failed

By the lack of responses, I'm guessing nobody has rooted the update??

[Q] Trying to update radio

I have been flashing ROMs for awhile now but never have updated radio/prl/etc. Anyway I am using CM7 and sometimes Kang but not sure if I need to flash a sense before I flash radio or combo if so which sense Rom would be best? Any advice on flashing radio or combo would be great! Thanks!

If you need to update the prl, you have to update it in a sense rom. You can then flash the combo zip one time then flash back to cm7.

HELP!!!

Ever since I flashed the Official T-mobile SGSii ICS, I have not be able to root or flash anything custom since then. When I use odin for anything other than official roms, it fails. I can't root it what so ever. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Are you using the correct files to flash with? Once your phone is updated to ICS you'll need some different stuff to get rolling from when you rooted GB. Try this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1311194 and let me know if it works. I rooted the same night the update was rolled out so I no longer have anything. HTH

Telus 4.0.3 Stock Kernel

Anyone have the stock kernel from 4.0.3 for Telus SGII X kicking around? Tried the various links but either fail or dead.

Do you need it rooted? If not, flash a stock 2.x rom, install Kies and let Kies update your phone?
