A small question:
I am using insert coin gb rom v25.
How can i configure the browser to launch the you tube app, when i click on a youtube link?
If you have the YouTube app installed then it should ask you whether you want to load it in the browser or the app, that's if you haven't defaulted the browser. If you have, then just go an clear the defaults.
Internet has no defaults, and youtube has also no defaults, but the browser does'nt ask me what i like to use.
If your viewing YouTube videos directly in your browser then it will just use the browser. It only asks what you want to use when you select an external link.

Afternoon all
Did a search but couldn't find anything dealing with this particular issue (if I've missed something, please point it out.).
When I use the native browser and hit a YouTube link, the browser opens up the HTC flash player/streaming media player. But I want it to open the YouTube app, like my HTC Hero used to.
I've tried clearing the defaults for the flash player, streaming media player, youtube app and internet but no joy.
If I try the same test using the Dolphin browser, I get the option to open youtube links with the youtube app, which is what I want the native browser to do!
Does anyone know how to get the native browser to handle youtube links with the youtube app?
Cheers

Bueller? Anyone?
anybody..
It's the same on mine. Can't see any way of changing it. I wonder if this is in anticipation of full flash support in the next Android release?
AFAIK it *should* work - it worked fine on the Hero and it works with the dolphin browser... I'm completely stumped

When I open this link in my browser it doesn't play a video:
/v/fa2_TWLREtU&autoplay=1 (add youtube.com before /)
but whenever I change it to:
/watch?v=fa2_TWLREtU (add youtube.com before /)
it plays just fine, only problem is FriendStream uses the first format.
Is this normal? Or does the browser doesn't support SWF's or something?
when i try to open youtube stuff, it will open the video with the built-in youtube app. maybe you set some app as a default youtube app - did you check the "set to default settings" within applications preferences (dont know the correct english terms)?
Youtube app doesn't play some videos it says not available in mobile but if u play it in the browser it works

I mean when playing them in the BROWSER, the first link doesn't work the second one does. Why is that?
This doesn't concern the youtube app, but the flash player in the browser
I am having problems viewing videos on embedded websites. It shows a block with the block with ?. Any help would be great.
HTC EVO rooted Sprint lovers
It would help if you gave us the websites so we can see what you are talking about. If it's a flash video, you may not have Flash Player installed. If it's any other kind of video, it just may not play on android.
CNN is one. I have flash installed.
If you have flash in browser settings as on demand. Flash content will not autostart. You have to tap the box, then wait for the video to load, then tap play.

where is the flash setting?
Open ur browser. Hit menu, settings, scroll to enable plugins. You can set it to always on which can slow webpage loadtimes but all flash content loads automatically
you should try going to settings, apps, manage, look forflash player, and uninstall updates, latest 10.2 update didnt work on a lot of phones, also if you wanna keep it from autoupdating you can break the market link link with titanium b, you can always reenable the link when new working update come out
First just wanted to say thanks. I have checked that setting. I have done a reset. Flash seems to work but no videos will play.
It used to be when I clicked a link to the Android market in the browser, it gave me the option to open it with the Market app. Similar things happened for Youtube, Yelp, and Wikipedia, which I had apps for.
I'm not exactly sure when it stopped working, or if it even worked at all on my T989, or if I'm remembering back to a previous phone. Does it work for anyone else?
I've tried this in different browsers (Samsung stock, Opera Mobile, Dolphin HD), and I've tried clearing the default app on web browsing, as well as using Default App Manager to clear the default apps set for Web Browser - www.youtube.com and all the other websites.
It just isn't presenting me with the option, and the web browsers are just opening the links themselves.
Any idea what's wrong?
Is there any way to remove the ads and pop ups in google chrome? I've downloaded ablockerplus but that doesn't remove the ads i get on google chrome. Also how can i watch movies on this tablet? I've downloaded a flash player app however it has little effect as i still get warned that i do not have the "Adobe flash plug in" when trying to view movies on putlocker.
Could watch anything you want with kodi as an app and addons from tvaddons.ag
Chrome browser doesn't support flash. For flash videos I'd recommend dolphin browser.
Flash is no longer supported in android.
I use vget to get online streams from video sites and then play in mxplayer.
Works just fine on putlocker.
You can still use flash and adblock plus.
Kitkat: Install dolphin browser + dolphin jetpack + modded flash player. (Can be found within dolphin browser, under lab. Google if you cannot find it.)
Lollipop: dolphin may bot work, but firefox does. Just install firefox and modded flash player.
-Adblock plus works with Chrome, but Data Saver (within Chrome settings) must be disabled.
-Flash player does not work with Chrome.
-Its better to install Adblock plus as an extension within firefox, than to install the actual adblock plus apk. This way it won't mess if your system.
